In the last decade alone, I have collaborated with many owners, CEOs, Managing Directors and Company Managers who often worked as though their time was infinite. I saw them spending more and more time with their team in the office until their week became highly laborious. They would only leave the office to eat and sleep. I don’t mean to say that we should only work from 9 to 5, 5 days a week and then completely ignore our work on weekends. I know that sometimes we have to put in the extra hours to meet our deadlines and achieve our targets; however, when this becomes the norm, it means that we need to consider alternatives such as working smarter rather than harder. This is the reason why I am writing this book Dedicated to all Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, CEOs, Managing Directors and Company Managers who think that every working day should be 48 hours, during which the need to eat, sleep and socialize is nonexistent. To all those who wait for the weekend just to rest...I, too, was one of them so many years back!
Some are helpful tips, and some not so much. I think it depends on each person with different goals and directions in our lives.
If you wanna learn the details you can p[u]r-act'ice for your fut'ure goals, open and read the book. You won't be sorry ;)
It is really brief, so you can read it in an hour.
I found some [pro]grammatical errors such as: (Kindle Ed., p. 32) ...Our understanding of the various stages companies goes through for growth...
Correction: ...Our understanding of the various stages companies go through for growth...
(Ibid., p. 34) ...more than 10.000 companies...
It's how you write it in some other Eorpean tongues like German or Frenc'h, but not in Engl'ish. In English it means just "10" com-pan'ies.
Correcction: ...more than 10,000 companies...
(Ibid., p. 34) ...to inquire about one of our office...
Correction: ...to inquire about one of our offices...
Besides them, there's on-ly on[e] more in the middle part'/ port'ion of the book as far as I recall: (Kindle Ed., p. 14) "...I copied the boss and the bosses boss - so they know and have approved."
Correction: "...I copied the boss and the boss's boss - so they know and have approved."
The author's wrong about the upcoming next Global War. It's coming, although I won't call that World War 3 like everyone else. It's NOT the "3rd" Global War. Read my book "Admiral Lee, Mentor of Human Race," and tell me if I'm wrong.
Anyhoo, over all it is a well-written book and a good read.
Five stars: (Kindle Ed., p. 25) ...Remember that you are a precious human being. Learn to say ‘no’ to your past and ‘yes’ to your future.
Just like the title of the book suggests 'Time is not infinite' so, the author also doesn't waste any time in writing a lengthy feel-good preachy book and cuts the fillers to get straight to the point.
The book starts with a little preface and introductory note of what's there in the book and then the book starts immediately with principle 1 from first chapter to the 12th principle in the last chapter.
Every chapter describes a single principle in detail and suggests you ways of how to implement those principles in your daily life.
Even though the book is quite short consisting only of 36 pages, yet the book touches you on the right nerves and the point comes across to the individual in a brief manner which is pretty much practical for a book like this. Having a management career spanning over 27 years, the author makes sure to convey to the readers as much as possible in a short yet gripping read. So, overall this book won't disappoint you. I highly recommend it.
The book is essentially written for professionals, who have become habitual of working laboriously while ignoring every other aspect of their lives. It comprises 12 chapters with each chapter focusing on educating the readers about a single principle of time management. The book aims to help the readers to learn the skill of working smart rather than working hard. It can prove especially helpful for individuals seeking the best ways to organize their time more efficiently and improving their productivity without putting in long hours.
The best thing about the book is that it does not beat around the bush but rather comes directly to the point. Given its short length, readers can finish it in one go and that too within a matter of hours. Howver, that does not impact the effectiveness of the lessons being taught in any way. Moreover, each of the recommended methods is quite practical and can be implemented by the readers although it might require some effort.
Book name- Time is not infinite: 12 principles to make the best use of your time Author- Paolo Ruggeri, Sadek El Assaad
'Opportunities come to us in a shaky or blurry form, and it is up to us to perfect them as we go.'
Many company employees do not know how to manage their time, and they want to reply to every mail, calls they receive, which consume their lot of productive time. The book teaches what factors affect our timeline as we don't have an infinite year to live—an overall good motivational short book for company members to read.
Time is not infinite, and there is probably a better way to spend time than with this book. It is very short and presents pretty obvious strategies to use time well.
For example...
Don't waste time with email.
Have clear goals.
Plan.
Yep. Thanks for that. If you need a dose of self evident, commonsensical time management - then this is your book. If you want something a bit more complex and intricate? Well - time is not infinite. Look elsewhere.
This is not a book it is a short of article you can say that a article book. I hope this makes sense 😅 It's true that time is not INFINITE. Everyone has a limited time period in their life. So, rather than wasting precious time. We can prioritise our goal. and achieving the Goal we can invest our time for getting fruitful results. It's available on kindle in free. Ok ok book need to add on more clearity and detailing.
Nothing to read in 36 pages , just read the table of contents and you are done with the book. The so called 12 principles are also no rocket science or divine words or gospel truth Just generic observations
2nd star only because I finished the book in one go Thanks for keep gibberish short
In this book I see that I and also you have enough time to do work but all of us waste our time to do other things like chatting etc. You don't need to wait for right time and right opportunity. Because you need do do what your goal from now. then you will be great person.
The book explores the realm of time management. It gives away tips or principles of effecient time management. The tips are straight to the point. It claims to be written for the senior individuals of the corporate world, but the points are universally applicable. Short and crisp. Sometimes, filled with realization.
There are many such thing written in this book which will be helpful to anyone who is willing to organise their time, rather than wasting it. So i suggest you to read it once.
We all, at some level, know the principles introduced here. But often either we don't practice these points or try to keep them away to remain in our comfort zones. Its good to be reminded the importance of them.
Though book has been written with good intentions, it still feels like a copy paste of some general advice given on internet. You can open any blog on time management and read this.
Great Book. Very important Tips for time management and organise tasks properly. Every Top person department head or organisation head should follow these guidelines. Thank n Rgds Hitesh Sardesai
A simple book about time management. I used this one to my employees, so they could read themselves quickly because this book only contains 12 short chapters. This book quite straightforward for its points.
A very short read 15 minutes read. Majority of things we already know if we watch a lot of motivational /self help content online. It will be a good book to read for new readers who are trying to build a reading habit and need a short book to read.
Crisp and Keen. Straight to the point, it hits you harder where it needs to hit for maximum productivity. Language of the book is simple to understand.
