What had I gotten myself into? This game wasn’t just for show on a board. No. These monsters played something I was foreign to. I didn’t know the rules when I started, but I didn’t know this was what the game would turn into. Still, I keep trying. I have nothing left. I’ll play until it’s done because I can’t let them win. Though, with some lingering looks and kinder words… Could my bullies be turning a new leaf? I found out who really runs this show with what’s really involved. This game isn’t being played on the board I thought it was. No, everyone is a pawn in this. Even the King himself isn’t in complete control. But maybe, Sevrin Thana and his friends are a single move being played on a larger board. I wonder if I can use this move to my advantage… Secrets become unraveled but will I learn too many? What happens when I do? *WARNING: Explicit content. Triggers for sexual and physical abuse are in this series. *One sex scene includes light F/F play with a M.
The Omen series is an amalgamation of paranormal, heaven and hell, mythology and magic. Each book is around 100pgs with book 1 ending before there’s enough setup to fully understand the world and situation. If this wasn’t KU I probably wouldn’t have continued, but that would’ve been my loss. Octavia’s beginning is one of hardship and perseverance. Her’s is a heroine’s quest of action, adventure, and badassery, and I’m impressed with where her story started vs. where it ended. The romance developed as a reverse harem (I seriously hate this term, but don’t know what else to call it) enemies to lovers and the bonds that forged were all encompassing and fabulous. The sex scenes also developed through each book so that by five and six I was downing the ice water and fanning myself saying, oh my! Super hot. Completing the Omen series has left me with a bit of a book hangover as the characters stayed with me. Is the world building iconoclastic and complex? No. Is the plot line flawless? Also no. But do I recommend it? Most definitely.
Via gets to know Bell in this one. We get Bell’s POV. We learned more about the circle. The guys turn 18. Via reads Pandora’s journal. There is F/MF which I am not sure was necessary with Lou.
Still an intriguing read since book 1 in the series. There are a number of grammatical errors that are distracting but don’t detract too much from the comprehension. My biggest problem with this book and thus makes it a two-star read:
Bellamy Argos Aside from Lear, he is the only multiracial character in the story, which is not a problem. Yes, bring on the diversity — the same-sex relationships, polyamory. But why did the caramel guy have to stereotypically be: - Named, and by virtue, be considered Sloth - Characterized as lazy (even if he wasn’t) - Shown attention for being well-endowed (Aster had length and Sevrin had girth; he had both) “thanks to his African heritage” (I get that it’s a compliment) - A drug addict or at a minimum a drug abuser (I don’t care what the reason is) - The last in the line of kings making him theoretically an omega He is also the only one, straight, to not sleep with the heroine, to date, irrespective of the reasons. No one else can resist her charms. Heck, she even has relations with her best friend.
This author appears capable of writing a great story as in fact Sloth possesses endearing qualities the other kings do not display inherently — natural warmth, caring, thoughtfulness, and honesty. More cultural sensitivity was warranted when crafting this character.
I’m inclined to stop reading this series as I am dismayed by the stereotypes. Because of the broad nature of the sexual diversity presented, at least, there is room for redemption.
Okay so now I’m kinda sorta getting it, still enjoying it but not as much, unfortunately, as it seems to be rushing to the FMC loving everyone now which was fast and vice versa but we are definitely not in Kansas anymore as the paranormal side is definitely revealed ! Okay onto the next one!
I’m perpetually captivated by this series! I’m so completely in love and entranced with how things are revealed throughout the books and I also adore how we’re given little slivers that just make you crave to know more. I wish the books were longer, I feel like I’m flying through them at a ridiculous pace!
I’m loving that the bully aspect is still there to small extent but mostly just from Rin… well that is until his dragon (and I’m not talking about his peen) mates her at the end of the book. Ultimately, this allows him to feel that something is off with Via and where she’s gone to, when she gets taken by his dickwad of a daddy.
We find out that the guys are the princes and soon-to-be kings of Hell;and that part of their job, is to reap the souls of those who died while engaging in their particular sin. This is what Via was witnessing in her dreams and she started to teleport to them as well, especially after forming a tighter bond with some of them… *coughs* I mean after fucking them. They catch onto this and try to figure out what she is exactly. All they know, is that Rins dad considers her a threat to their circle.
Although, the book she found from her mothers clues elaborates on her family history and it seems as though she is a descendant of pandora; but, because her mother fucked something up (supposedly, but I know she did it with a good reason), Via is set to be a sacrifice to complete the guys circle with *puke* Lexi. Although, I doubt that will happen now!
Okay. The sexy times in this book… *chef’s fucking kiss* Absolutely carnal. I crave these scenes between them and I can’t wait to see more, especially knowing she’s going to be bringing in an mm relationship into her harem. I am giddy.
By the end of the book I felt utterly sick for Via. She is forced into the presence of her abuser all these years later and he is none other than one of the older seven, in fact, he is Lou and Milo’s father. What a sick fucker. When Milo and the guys find out… they will not be pleased. I kinda can’t wait to see him get incinerated. I really pray that Rin and the guys can get to her in time though…
Love love loving this series and I’m positively impatient with finding out what happens next. I’m speeding off to the next!
~4 stars~

I don’t understand why the new seven are taking over and becoming immortal if their fathers already did their own sacrificing and are immortal. That really needs some more explanation. If the fathers are moving on to rule Hell, while the seven are serving their 150 years, what happens next? Where do the fathers go and eventually the seven when they are replaced by their own children? So much confusion.
This book was filled with a lot of crap that I felt was unnecessary. Instead of focusing on what was.
I don’t like how suddenly everyone seems to care so much about Octavia. There was no build up, no real apologies, explanations, nothing. Now suddenly they are all worried?
Also, Milo’s dad. What?! Literally makes zero sense. If the Daddy Seven’s were looking for Lilliana for all those years, clearly, Milo’s dad found her if he was the one that SA baby Octavia. Sooooo, why did he just left them go? Instead of taking Liliana back? Makes zero sense.
I didn’t have many expectations when I started reading this, Ashley Amy is a new author for me. So imma do one review for all the books so far.
The eight transgressor is a series written much like a serial series, so bare in mind each book ends with a cliffhanger. These are each fast paced, dark paranormal RH romance. They’re not particularly long which made it that much easier to finish them so quickly.
There are some super hot and equally disturbing scenes, remember our characters are demons so if you’re not comfortable with taboo topics then this is probably not the series for you. (FF, MM, MFM, MMFMM, MMF) ⚠️Graphic content: physical, emotional & psychological warfare
I really like the storyline, it’s well written and easy to follow. I like the chess connotations and how the battle between Via and the Seven is overshadowed by so much sexual tension. I also like how their relationships develop overtime, the attraction is a given but feelings aren’t instantaneous.
The characters are great, I especially love Via’s best friend Lou, they are like magnets and find each other from the get go. The guys are also likeable even though they are complete douche canoes in the beginning.
I absolutely love this series!!!! It promotes so many emotions and our main character, Via!!!!! Straight up Bad As* Warrior Goddess!!!! I have an idea of who her dad is and cannot wait for that he next book to come out!!!!! Please hurry with the fourth book, and make it longer!!!! Read this one in 1 day that how much I love it!!!!! That ending was crazy and sh*t is going down, they are entering into hell!!!!! Love this series, hope it never ends!!!!! P.S. Even though the guys were the villains throughout the they are showing us who they really are and I am loving it!!!!
This was probably my favorite book in the series so far. I loved all the pranks. And the relationship building between the guys and Octavia. As much as the guys try to fight it they all crave Via in some way or another.
Now their Mr. Thana and Mr. Gifre are sick. Like ridiculously disgusting. I mean I know they are demons but just really. Taping a 12 year old. That’s just sick. And then to find out Via’s familiar is a dragon and that’s not common. Dopeness. Now to find out what happens next.
This series is unreal. Each book builds and is better then the last. I love Via and the seven. Her strength and perseverance is awe inspiring. Nothing is as it seems in this series and it keeps you on your toes. There is so much evil that has touched Via but her goodness and strength is so beautiful. The plot is phenomenal and pulls so many strong emotions from you. Simply breathing
This series is a combination of everything. The way that Ashley Amy created Via is amazing. She's strong but vulnerable. She's quirky, smart, funny, but a bad**** when she needs to be as well. I like the characteristics that she has all the men nd heroine portraying. The more this series builds, the more I am so involved with how things are turning out. Pulling up all nighters are totally worth it in this end.
Talk about crazy! The author just keeps getting better. It’s hard for some to do that but with each new book, Ashley Amy keeps me addicted! We learn so much in this one to help sate our curiosity but still left with questions. We want answers but man is she doing an awesome job keeping us on our toes! Then P! I was not expecting that!
I’ve been dying for this book and now I’m left dying for the next!!!! I love that she can write this amazingly good in such a short time. Ten days after the last one?! I didn’t see any editing issues but even if there were little ones, she’s exceptional at what she does in such a short time. This story is sooo good. Suspenseful and captivating.
I just picked up the first book this morning and just finished the third. Ashley says she's a new author but girl has some serious talent. If you dont mind a broken but kick a** girl who are willing to walk on the dark side to tame 7 guys with some serious demons than this might not be fore you. Prepare for every dark sexual taboo described in delicious detail.
The third in the series and they keep pulling me into this world. Bellamy is my new favorite of the seven, but I have a new crush on Rin as well. The cliffhangers are brutal, but I know the next one will be coming and pull me in again. Can’t wait for number 4!
This is an awesome series, excellent world building and a very interesting take on mythology, I love how Via is a strong badass MC and gives just as good as she gets, the males are introduced slowly in each book so you get to know them better, would highly recommend this series, Ashley Amy is one of my new favourite authors!
Beware - you will not be able to put this series down
Soooo good. Its is 4pm on a Saturday and I have just finished book 3 after starting book 1 this morning. You will not be disappointed - as the title suggests, it has some really dark elements to it, so I wouldn't read if you trigger easily. Bring on book 4!
This series is just wow, I am in love with these books. I can't help it. The characters, all of them, are just amazing. I was so engrossed I read this one in a day and when I got to the end I was so sad, the even sadder when I realized I had to wait for the next one to get released. I can't wait to see what happens next.
I love that this book dove deep into Aster and Bellamy. They are both amazing!!! Non stop advancement in the story. Fast burn at its best y'all. I fall deeper and deeper in love with these demons every time I read these books. Bellamy is the cinnamon roll of the series and I LOVE HIM.
Awesome!!!! Suspenseful, full of angst and mayhem. All of the circle and Octavia have had their 18th Birthday. I have more questions now!!!! Who is Rita other than the housekeeper??? I have not been able to put this series down since starting it. I know there is so much more and so many answers.
That last little bit! Ugh. I’m slain, wrecked and ready for the next! I loved having the insight of more of the guys this time around, and I’m anxious to get into the heads of those we haven’t yet. Bellamy just wrecked me in the best way possible.
This book had my crying laughing one minute to swooning the next to crying! When I say all the feels I mean all the feels! I love all the characters and via is just my kind of girl! Can not wait to see what comes next!
The third book was funny. Like laugh out loud funny. I’m so glad I’m learning more as the story progresses. I just wish she would have made 3 books instead of 7 because I want them to be longer.
There are just no words to describe how great this series is.... but if you like dark reverse harem that has a bad*** main character then you must read the Omen series! I cannot wait for the next one!
I hate where this left off but it is everything funny as hell at times I truly love how strong Octavia is! The guys all have a piece of her heart! Can’t wait to read the next book
