Easy and quick read, but SO HARD to get through. The statistics are tough, the facts are blunt, but it's the truth and it needed to be said. I love the hard facts given with practical ways to stand up and change the course of action in our nation. I read it quickly, but still have a long journey of prayer ahead of me. Christians need to take their stands and be a loving influence in their own personal circles. This book is eye-opening and draws our hearts to God and our knees to the ground.

Dr. Michael Brown is one of the few voices out there that consistently speaks both truth and love in equal, mature measure. Over the course of the summer I have regularly listened to his podcast, which is always a source of spiritual edification and relevant information without the inflammation, and so I was eagerly anticipating his latest book, Jezebel’s War With America.
The book is short, easy to read, well documented, and powerful! If you love God, if you love Jesus, if you love your neighbor, please read this book. I was unaware of certain agendas and trends that are documented in the book. The Church needs to be aware; the Church needs to repent; the Church needs to speak and stand against what is taking place in our country.
For many, the name Jezebel can become our focus and fear. A title that signifies a specific spirit. Of course, some people may think that when the name Jezebel is used that it literally means the ancient queen of Ahab, a king of Israel, has come back from the dead or that her spirit is haunting us. That is not what Dr. Brown is saying, nor what he believes. When he says “Jezebel” he means the demonic forces that operated through the ancient queen and still operate today, but he uses “Jezebel” to denote the demonic forces that often surround the fallen feminine—by which I mean the corruption of the female, something that does indeed affect both halves of humanity.
With this in mind, Dr. Brown provides interesting details on the Jezebel of history before proceeding to discuss the demonic interrelatedness of idolatry, sexual seduction, child sacrifice, feminist extremism, dissolution of gender distinctions, and growing witchcraft. It’s rather astonishing to see the connections unfold. While much of the documentation is horrifying and shocking, during his discussion on abortion and human trafficking I even shed some tears—heartbreaking.
In the final third of the book, we see how history is repeating itself yet again from human ignorance and wickedness, however, this is not where the book ends. Dr. Brown devotes the last part of the book to refocusing our eyes on Jesus; not only this, but he exhorts us to shed our complicit and complacent attitudes, so that we might become the people He has purchased us to be—prophets and priests in power, the power given to us through Christ.
This isn’t the time to be sleeping! We have been given a glorious opportunity in these days, the opportunity to let Christ Jesus live through our hearts, our minds, our bodies. We are the temple of God, and that temple needs restoration. Truth must be spoken. Truth must be lived.
The Church has a responsibility, not just in our own personal properties and buildings, but in the whole of society. Not to be selfish and dictatorial, but to be selfless and liberating—liberating people from sin and lies, even if they don’t want to hear our message from God.
America may go the way of nations. So it has been and so it shall be. But many within her will not bow, and many more will stand upon their feet again, some for the first time.
And through Christ our victory is already won.

This an excellent book covering the modern ills of our society. I first heard Dr. Brown on Frank Turek’s podcast. He gives excellent stats to back up his claims, and it really hit home for me because I operate in the SJW world he shines a light on. It’s really a breath of fresh air when I’m forced to be in a field where I disagree with 90+% of what is taught and believed, all so I can get a piece of paper that says “masters degree” to be able help fellow combat vets with their mental health, and to help the overall mission of ending veteran suicide. It really feels like popping my head above water when I’ve been under for too long and I’m gasping for breath. Thank you, Dr. Brown. Finished in less than 24 hours.

This book is amazing. It talks about the current controversial issues in our country. From Abortion, LGBT activism, to Radical feminism it expounds on how jezebel's spirit is alive and is manifesting itself in this day and age. In the last two chapters it tells how an individual can battle this spirit and also the nation as a whole. I hope you will be blessed by this book. God bless all those who are reading.

A biblical and cultural perspective of current issues
I read this book because I was intrigued by the title. The author is a pastor, counselor, teacher, writer and speaker. I liked the way he explained his view that many of the problems in the United States have a spiritual basis. He went into detail about Jezebel of the Old Testament, an evil and vengeful woman married to Ahab. Dr. Brown uses the character of Jezebel as both a figurative and literal demonic spirit that has infiltrated our culture. He writes about evils that harm and seek to destroy family and society. Issues such as pornography, child abuse, and people unhappy with their bodies seeking to change their sex through surgery, are some topics explored by the author using biblical and cultural references. Dr. Brown gives real life tools such as prayer, action and educating oneself as methods to fight against the spiritual attacks on our country and families. Although I've read similar books, I thought the author had a unique approach to this topic. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the cultural crisis in America.

For anyone who is concerned about the direction in which our society is moving, this book speaks plainly to relevant topics such as abortion, radical feminism, sexual issues like pornograpy and promiscuity, witchcraft, gender distinctions, and intolerance of the truth. It is a timely wake-up call to American Christians to rise from their apathy and complacency. While I don’t agree with Michael L. Brown on some of his religious views, his astute assessment of modern-day culture and how Christians should respond is spot on. After laying out the seriousness of the problems America faces, he gives practical steps for Christians in their own personal lives and on a national level. Christians, speak out, take a stand, and PRAY! His words in Chapter 12 should be heeded by Christians everywhere:
“Now that we have established that our greatest battle is spiritual... we understand how we must wage war. It begins on our knees. It begins in the prayer room and at the prayer meeting. It begins with fasting, with intercession, with prevailing prayer and persevering prayer, with fervent prayer and focused prayer. It begins with crying out—real, genuine, crying to our Father—and with faith-filled rebuking of the enemy...
“That doesn’t mean that we will see national (or even local) transformation in a day, a week, a month, or even a year... It does mean that prayer changes things. It does mean that our Heavenly Father hears and answers prayer.
“Unfortunately, while the condition of the nation is desperate, the attitude of God’s people is not. So many of us are complacent when it comes to today’s spiritual and moral crisis... We need some holy desperation...”
We are already at war, fellow Christians. If you don’t think the condition of our society is all that bad, think again. Many Christians are complacent, but the enemy is not. Make no mistake, the enemy isn’t other people. The enemy is Satan, working diligently wherever he can and through whomever he can. We fight him with the armor of God and “the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication” (Ephesians 6:17-18). God has equipped us with all we need for the fight, and He is with us every step of the way.

Dr. Michael Brown writes an excellent synopsis of where our nation is at present. With passion, he describes the challenges we, the church and believers, face in the barrage of overwhelming evil. From the homosexual agenda to the feminist agenda to the abortionist agenda, America is being driven to its own destruction on the heels of action that will eventually bring us under God’s justice and judgment.
That’s where we are. We have an opportunity to stand up, speak up and rise up to stop those evils in our day. The question that lays before us: Do we have the spiritual spine to shine in the midst of this present darkness. Brown brings this message home loud and clear. Without mincing words, he lets loose a holy sound for awakening and reformation in the church. Now is the time.

As someone living in Europe, I fully recognize the coordinated, liberal, anti-christian ideological assault on our society that eventually tries to destroy the Biblical essence of what it means to be a human being: a representative of our Creator. Dr. Michael Brown speaks with prophetic boldness and courage about matters that are urgent but many christians are afraid to talk about. His message is simple, pray against and speak out on these matters. The future of our countries depend on the voice of truth being heard loud, clear and in love.
I highly recommend this confronting and thoughtprovoking book to every Bible believing christian.

I thought this was a very prophetic book which understand the nature of the times in a biblically, holistic way.
Though, not an a american, I see this spirit of jezebel at work through much of the world and so does Michael Brown, even though the thrust of the book focuses mainly on the US. So it is beneficial read for those no in the US.
If there was one thing that could have been more emphasized in the narrative of the book, would be more of the role of pride/narcissism -- a key aspect of Jezebel -- on the national and individual psyche of the US, where pride is very much a bondage.

He weaves between now and then comparing Jezebel's reign and the perverted culture in the physical she created to what her spiritual influence over our nation has created. Brown then discusses the pulpits failures in addressing many issues before now and explains why. Then he gives us actions we the moral public,particularly Christians, can take to begin to confront the very plots born in the spirit realm to take down America

The author draws many interesting parallels between the evils that pervade society today with those of Biblical times. The most prevalent of these is that Americans are being seduced every day through movies, internet and other media outlets by a modern day Jezebel. This Jezebel is once again out to emasculate men and radicalize women to do her bidding. It is quite an interesting read and the connections the author makes are rational and sometimes uncanny.

The current state of America, parallels with Old Testament. Prevision of decades of liberal politics has brought about a modern day Jezebel. It has emasculated men that are no longer spiritual leaders in their homes or communities.

Is this real?
Spiritual warfare is indeed real and the spirit of Jezebel is alive and well today. We see elements of this struggle everyday. It is past time for those in the church to stand and call this nation to repentance for the gross immorality and sin that is exposed daily. Jesus said the world would hate us, so get over it and move forward for Him.

If I could have given this book a lower rating, I would have. Utter garbage. I am curious what does the author have a PhD in? Proof that not everyone should write a book. The author is obviously misogynistic and extremely right wing. As a Christian I am appalled that this was portrayed as a Christian based book. This author sounds about as Christian as donald trump.

I found this book insightful and inciting. My friend who is a Christian, was reading it. I am tolerant of others beliefs, but I found no tolerance in Professor Brown’s words. He speeds of fear; his words filled me with fear and sadness.
