Rate this book
God puts people in your life for a reason, either they’re a lesson or a blessing and for Legend this had become a true statement.
After suffering for years because of his mother’s death; then his father’s passing, Legend Gambino had to become a man and step up to the plate. His father, Mr. Gambino left him a business that consisted of slaughtering animals. As time went by, Legend came up with a brighter idea. He began using the animals to transport drugs across the US. His father also left behind Allen Roberts, who Legend despised but because of his work ethic, Legend kept him aboard.
One particular day changed the lives of not only Legend but a beauty by the name of Chastity Roberts. Allen, who had a gambling problem stole Legends truck with 200 keys of coke. Not being able to locate Allen, Legend went after anything Allen had in this world; his babygirl “Chastity”.
Young and innocent Chastity Roberts was kidnapped by Legend and his Goons. Holding Chas against her will turned into a desirable and undeniable love affair. However, the untold truth that tainted their past, has began to resurface.
Grab your tissue and get ready for a heart wrenching love saga.

WHOAAAAAA!!!

This was an awesome read. The twists had my eyes bucking. I’m so glad that Chastity got her happy ending. That Legend was a character but a good man that just needed the love of a good woman!!!

I'm always happy when an author is kind enough to put TWs or CWs in their work. This isn't a book matter requirement so I don't trip if I don't see any. However, if you are going to have paragraph 1-6 on page 1 be a CSA aftereffects scene including the words "semen", "bleeding" & "anal" it would be really wonderful if that was mentioned. If the next set of pages is a child shot it would be nice to have a warning.

Needless to say DNF around 4%

What Happens When Your Trust Is Misplaced!

Barbie Scott, good read, emotional but good. Chastity, had such a hard road, she thought her life was one way and in all reality she was living a lie. Being thrown into a situation where she had no business being she didn't deserve to be in any of that life. Legend, only knew one way to live and that was to be loyal to those that were loyal to you. His life took on a up heel battle, once he thought he had made the worst mistake in his life, the choices he made caused him to trust the wrong people, his heart was hardened.
Meeting Chastity Legend found a peace he didn't even realize he needed until she came into his life. When he should've reacted in his normal matter he didn't. I was so glad to see the growth between the two. Chastity also gave her trust to the wrong people between the two of them and unforseen challenges Legend and Chastity found a way to bring everything out and handle everything that needed to handle as a unit. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

this was not a happy ending at all. lmao

Folks really rating this book four and five stars, like the grammatical errors weren’t there. like the author didn’t use ‘mines’ numerous times throughout the entire book. missing whole words from sentences.

And what happened to the plot? it was there. it was headed in the right direction, then somehow things wasn’t adding up. it was like he completely lost focus of the mission. things legend said didn’t make sense. there was absolutely no need to add a baby into the mix if you ‘never go raw’ AND how did homegirl know where he stayed if you only felt something from Arian?? that whole part was an unnecessary filler.

legend was a disgusting human being. strong dislike for him
and his disgusting ways. chas was too young and naive. she actually pissed me off bad in the beginning not putting two and two together. lmao like girl. bffr.

i would definitely give this one star, but the beginning had promise. it gradually got worse and confusing. the dad being a creep is mad disgusting yo. i mean like trifling, but what’s crazy is…. the part about chas’ mom made sense to me. the ending was terrible. it was like she got tired of writing and just said fuck it. because while i think allen’s treatment is justified, why we couldn’t get legend going back to chas? where was the epilogue or something? you seriously end it with a punishment? weird. i also really did not like legend. lmao

megan and mera were also disgusting. i feel like i’ve read other books by this author and im not sure if this is just her terrible writing style or she has a bad book in her catalog. but this was a crazy read 😂

The first 40% of this book had me. I was locked in. I was like okayyy, this about to be GOOD. And then… the remaining 60% turned into a damn comprehension exam. Context clues, fill-in-the-blanks, DIY plot reconstruction I was fighting for my life trying to keep up 😭

It’s like the plot just fell off a cliff and never recovered. I kept waiting for it to circle back or make sense, but nope. I genuinely don’t know what direction the author was trying to go in. And I’m pretty sure I’ve read something from her before, but now I’m questioning my own memory because…

There was solid world building in the beginning. A few questionable moments but nothing too wild. But that ENDING? Girl. You’re telling me the big climax is him chopping off her daddy’s appendage AND his hands because he found out dude was the creep behind everything and then… roll credits??? He doesn’t even make it back to her? Just leaves him bleeding out by his lonely? That’s not a happy ending. That’s bizarre.

And don’t get me started on the plot twists…not even twists, more like random detours. None of them tied together in a satisfying way. The one that did was just straight up weird. Spice? Also weird. I don’t even know what genre of freaky that was supposed to be.

Honestly, I want to give it one star, but that first chunk really did have me in a chokehold. So… two stars. I had high hopes, but nah.

Great Read

This was my first time reading a book by this author and I really enjoyed it. The story was good and it flowed well. This book will also bring you to tears. I was a mess quite a few times. Lastly, I don’t mind sex scenes, but I am glad this book was not full of them. Yes, sex was definitely part of the book, but it was not the author’s major focus. This author’s focus was the storyline and not a bunch of sex scenes. I have read books that had more sex than story and I found myself getting quite bored. This was NOT the case with this book. Great job, Barbie Scott! I look forward to reading your next release.

Wow 😮 where do I start? That damn Allen was a sick individual 😡😡😡. I can’t believe he was the rapist I’m so glad he made him suffer in the end. That’s what he get!! Mera was dirty with her jealous ass. I kind of figured she was messing around with Keyon they deserved each other. It’s so sad that she didn’t value her friendship at all she chose Keyon and his baby bite size 🍆 over a true friend 😥🤬😡. I’m so glad Legend & Chasity got they’re happy end😍❤️. Looking forward to your next book.

Alright

The storyline was good. But I gave it 3 stars, because I didn't think that the added kid was necessary. I hate when author's add stupid feelers just to add to the story. I mean per Legend said it his self that he never had sex raw with anyone. He also said no one knew where he lived except Arian, so how his baby mama know where he lived? Why did she wait all these years to so up? Sorry this was so dumb to me. Other than the story could've been great. Glad Legend and Chas got their HEA.

Banger 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Honestly I bypassed this book several times. I am glad I finally took the time to read it. This book was soooooo good. Poor Chas went through so much. Chas and legend were like a puzzle, they were the missing pieces to one another. Allen was a sick individual, glad he got what was coming to him. I knew Mera wasn't s***. I would definitely recommend this standalone. This is not your average dope boy saves girl, this book is so much more.

good story but writing was bad.

Good plot, bad writing. Legend was dirty. Yuck. The details of the story were juicy but predictable.

This book need trigger warnings. All the commas after dialogue were missing. Some inconsistencies. If Keyon and Chasity are 20 and 21, how were two teens missing? At the end of the book, Legend started talking to the reader.

Spoiler - I do wonder how her father just stopped cold turkey?

This was just ok to me

This is the first book I've read by this author. Chasity was very young & naive. She suffered a lot of trauma. The story was somewhat unrealistic.
I hate to hear people say 'mines' instead of 'mine', so to keep seeing it throughout this book had me cringing. I will give this author another try & read some of her other work.

Stealing the Plugs Heart

Barbie!!! Ma’am I think you wanna fight cause WHAT!!!! I will start off by saying I wish there was an epilogue describing if she went to therapy, graduated, the interaction with Makalah on her return home, did they marry etc?… Now to the main stuff! Not gonna lie, Chasity ticked me off with the “empty head” persona. In my opinion she chose to not see things for what they were cause off rip I could tell her wanna be man & friend were moving shady. The fact that she was willing to put everyone before her was 🤯 to me. Yes it showed loyalty but they obviously didn’t care either. Then let’s not forget Legend. He was surrounding but fakeness and being the RN that he was he should’ve smelled some of that. Not gonna lie, I thought Kill was shady but I was wrong & I’m glad I was wrong! His ex & Meg were the most problematic & they got to walk away when they shouldn’t have been able to. Not the twist at the end!!!!!! I threw my phone down for a min cause WYF?!?!

(Urban Romance) I enjoyed this read. The novel flowed smoothly and the characters were interesting and developed. Chasity was a young victim of betrayal and rape. Who was found paying for her father's treachery. Betrayed by your father, best friend, and boyfriend (a circle of snakes). Willing to sacrifice herself for the lives of the ones she loves, yet they don't deserve her loyalty.

Legend is a savage who doesn't believe in love. He has a place in his heart for Arian but he's not trying to commit to noone. If he ever does he feels she would be the one since she took a charge for him. Loyalty is everything and he feels Arian would be the one. But finds himself in an awkward position falling for the chick he's kidnapped. Strangely, the two (Legend/Chasity) finds themselves linked to a tragic past.

Action filled. I would recommend this read.

Stealing the plugs heart

This book had me captivated from the beginning to the end. Heavy heavy situations spoken that would normally be swept under the rug. Allen was sick! How could he?! Not only doing those despicable things to women but his own child?! From it was said Brandon was never seen or heard from, I figured he would be plotting but surely thought he would get his lick back on his own. Allen's gambling problem gave Brandon a way into hitting Legend in his pockets but what he didn't forsee was him losing his life! I feel like him seeing that woman again brought him full circle! Mera was one dusty hood rat! Smiling in Chas face all while sleeping with her man! She didn't get whooped good enough for me. We can't help who we love! The heart wants what it wants and no matter how hard we fight it, true love conquers all! Excellent read

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This Was A Great Book...I Couldn't Put My Phone Down. Its Crazy How Legend And Chastity Got Together But I Loved The Chemistry They Had. That's Messed Up That All Along It Was Chastity Dad Allen That Had Been Raping His Own Daughter...He Killed His Own Wife, & He Raped And Killed Legend's Mother. Allen Got Everything He Deserved. Yeah, Legend Opted Out Of Killing Allen But He's Still Suffering. Kill Kept It Real With His Boy Legend And Stayed Solid From Day 1. I'm Glad Legend And Chastity Got Their Happy Ending. I Would Love To Read More About These Characters...Especially Chastity, Legend , And His Boy Kill...Maybe We Can Get A Spin Off Or Something. I Loved It! ❤❤❤

Love won

This was a great standalone dealing with an extremely sensitive subject. I like how the author tied Legend and Chasity together. It all made sense in the end. Although Chasity went through a heartbreaking ordeal; she was still a sweet and caring person. She was even willing to give her life for those who didn't deserve her love. Legend was also going through an internal battle and he fell in love with Chasity even though he wanted to be stubborn.

Overall, love won in the end.

Whew!

Reading Stealing The Plugs Heart, was like riding a roller coaster. The high peaks, sudden plunging drops and wild whip around twists. Legend and Chastity are such an unlikely pair. I certainly wasn’t ready for the dynamics and trajectory of their relationship.

Legend aka the Plug, made me want to throat punch him several times throughout the story. And sweet innocent Chastity was a too naïve for me. But they made me care about them and cheer them on. I’m glade I stumbled upon this new author and her book.

won’t be disappointed

So many twists and turns in this book. You ain’t going to able to put it down. I wasn’t expecting that ending. Chasitity father was a sicko that deserved death. She went through so much all because of her father. Her father pissed me off so bad I can tell he didn’t have love for her when he wasn’t even concerned or try to find her when Legend let him know that they kidnap his daughter. I love a book that keeps me going and is a page turner. This book had me on the edge. But I was happy for Chasitity and Legend tho. 5⭐️

Crazy but good read

I can’t believe Allen. I figured the whole time that he was the serial ravisher. It didn’t make sense for a man to sneak in that house for 3 years. I’m glad Chas found out. She looked at her dad as a hero and he was a sicko. Legend met her for good reason. He protected her too. Chastity really had nobody. Her dad, so called bestie and man were all against her. I loved how Nancy was there for her. Makaylah came in at the right time. They had a little family so quickly. I enjoyed this book.

wtf!!! Her father ? Her hero ? Her fucking dad ? I felt so damn bad for Chas because the fact that you were getting raped almost every night by your dad just for him to have you think he came in and killed the person is grimy ! But then small damn world because the nigga killed Legends mom too ! Uggghhh this damn book had me hooked feeling way too many emotions ! I loved how well written it was and how in the end everyone kinda intertwined for different reasons! 4.5 stars ⭐️ but I really hope there is a part two with her happy ending && her daddy bleeding tf out ! 😈

Amazing!

I loved everything about this story. From start to finish it was amazing. I loved seeing the growth in both Chastity and Legend. I’m glad that they were finally able to release the demons they were fighting inside. It’s been a while since I’ve come across a book that was able to captivate my attention like this. I finished this story in one sitting. Highly, highly recommend!

This book was everything I wasn’t expecting it to be. I couldn’t stop reading till I finished that’s how good this book was. I definitely wasn’t expecting the ending and it kind of hurt me these things had happened. I was really emotional reading this book but I love Chas even though she got dealt a bad hand. I love Chas and Legend together. Everyone needs to read this book.

👍👍👍👍👍

Love it!! I like the fact that it wasn't a whole lot of drama. I also like how the book wasn't all over the place with unnecessary details this author stuck to her story. Legend was a whole mess. He was a true savage with anger issues. Chastity was so naive. She wanted to see the good in all people. Her father was a sick individual. I couldn't believe what he did. Chastity was just what Legend needed. Good read.

Good Stuff

This was quite interesting from the beginning, the writer places you right in the middle of the action and goes full throttle! I love the fact the in Legend we get a man who is conflicted in what he knows what he should do versus what he's going to do.You like this story of two who are thrown into circumstances beyond their control. The writer ties this story up nice and neat, and we get the since that this couple makes it.

A Great Read

This book really did have me on an emotional rollercoaster!!! Chasity really went though so much and I felt so bad for her!! Kenyon with his cheating behind and then with Chas best friend, smh... Then to get kidnapped because of your Dad's mess was ridiculous, but to fall in love with the Man (Legend) was crazyyyy but I loved the story and I'm so happy that they found each other... A great love story

Must Read

Okay I’m a first time reader for this author and I will say she delivered. This series has so many twist and turns in it. Chas had a hard life growing up with nothing but bad memories and betrayal. She gets kidnapped by this crazy man so she thinks that she falls in love with. Their past are both tied to each other and Legend is able to heal her and give her the happiness she definitely deserves!!!!

I posted that I wanted to read a good hood romance novel. The author commented & recommended this one. I never expected to fall in love with each character. I felt Chasity's good girl persona. I loved Nancy & Kill, friends indeed. I hated Keyon & Mera. Kalah was adorable. Oh & Allen, smmfh. In others words, she gained a new fan. ✍📚🔒 ❤🤞

SN: Time to go on Amazon & order me another Barbie Scott book!

You’re in college you and your long term boyfriend are going through issues and you feel obligated to make him your first, the moment is here as you lay back the door is kicked in you and him are snatched into the dark of night saving you from making a decision you may regret while also making you captive to .... him.

Good cute quick read i actually didn’t cry but that was probably purely heart ache from my own previous past. Spice level was about a 5/10 , over all was worth the read.
