A counselor finds herself in the middle of a serial killer's scheme, and a Texas Ranger comes to her aid. A plot that has a few twists, this one kept me guessing until the end! Not a lot of suspense until later, but I enjoyed this well written tale.

I enjoyed the action and suspense in this interesting story about Texas Ranger Ian Pierce who requests a transfer back to his hometown to be closer to his brother and grandmother after being away for a number of years. His brother still runs the family ranch but has had a difficult time coping with the death of their father. Although Ian has tried to prepare himself for when he runs into Caitlyn, the woman he had once dated and with whom he had hoped to start a relationship, he was not ready for her to be involved in his first case back in Longhorn. After a woman is found dead in a ditch by the roadside, events escalate causing Ian to become concerned for the safety of his former girlfriend. Caitlyn’s grandmother lives next door to his grandmother and they are best friends. These older ladies add some levity to the story as tensions mount surrounding the case. Margaret Daley does a nice job of keeping the identity of the murderer hidden until very close to the end of the story. I like the way she handled the pace of the story and the development of the clues leading up to the revelation. I received a copy of the book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

This is the third book in the Lone Star Justice series and features Texas Ranger Ian Pierce as the strong hero and Dr. Caitlyn Rhodes as the heroine. She is a therapist who is dealing with a methodical murderer whose calling card is the words ‘Stop me! There are clues throughout the book leading you on a sit-on-the-edge of your seat adventure. As things escalate Caitlyn feels responsible but Ian reassures her that the killer is the only one responsible, and it’s his job to protect her and stop the killings. As feelings reemerge between Ian and Caitlyn, will they be able to face what happened between them seventeen years ago? A fun group of characters including Nana and Granny and an ending I did not see coming. Author Margaret Daley has a talent for writing a suspenseful story loaded with intrigue and not a lot of gore and always filled with hope and faith in God. I’m enjoying this series!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author. All opinions are my own.

What a fantastic suspense story this was! It was packed with great characters, from Caitlyn and Ian who shared a past attraction, to many other interesting side characters, such as Ian’s brother, Sean, and the grandmothers of the two main characters.

The hits just kept on coming with this tale of murder. Even though Ian, Caitlyn, and other law enforcement officers were trying to figure out who the killer was, it seemed that they were always two steps behind the villain.

The author did a very good job of balancing the love story and attraction between the two main characters with a sense of urgency and imminent danger. I felt very connected to Ian and Caitlyn and hoped that they could overcome past traumas and reconnect after so many years apart.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This was quite an intense suspense. Therapist, Dr. Caitlyn Rhodes, and Texas Ranger, Ian Pierce were working with other law enforcement officers trying to find a serial killer. No matter what they did, they couldn't figure out who it was.

When Caitlyn felt responsible for the deaths, Ian assured her that the killer was the only one responsible. He was determined to find the killer and stop the murders.

Even though Caitlyn and Ian had been together many years ago, looking for a serial killer was not the best time for their feelings to resurface. I loved the grandmothers in this story. They were always matchmaking, trying to get Ian and Caitlyn together. Ian's brother, Sean, was a troubled man who I couldn't help but feel sorry for.

This story pulled me in right away leaving me with several questions that I just couldn't read fast enough to get the answers to. I was surprised when I found out who the killer was. I had suspected someone else.

This was a terrific romantic suspense with a wonderful ending.

I loved the many things I learned about Texas Rangers in this book! I also enjoyed the relentless actions and ways the author showed that we can have bad things happen to us but if we rely on our inner strength and faith, we can get through it! Imagine you are a therapist and a serial killer starts killing your patients to punish YOU!!! I would be devastated and feel so responsible! That is exactly how Caitlyn feels. Texas Ranger, Ian Pierce, tries to impress upon her that it's not her fault, it's the killer's fault, but still, that's a hard pill to swallow! Ian and Caitlyn used to date in high school so they have a previous relationship but years have passed since that time and each has gone on with their lives. Ian has since moved back to his home town to be closer to his family and Caitlyn is practicing in their home town when the killer decides to target her. The characters were very realistic and emotional as you went on this journey with them. The two grandmas (of Ian and Caitlyn) were so fun and sweet! I liked all the other law enforcement too and enjoyed seeing Ian's brother's journey - it was raw and emotional too. Pick up a copy and take a roller coaster ride to find out what happens as Ian catches a killer!

I liked the occupation of the heroine, Caitlyn. She is a counselor/therapist in her town as well as on the radio.
Ian never quite made an impact and the plot seemed too formulaic. I started skimming towards the end.
The killer was a surprise.

This is the third installment in the Lone Star Justice from Margaret Daley and as wonderful as the first two. This is a story of second chances, love, faith, and secrets all wrapped in to an edge of your seat suspense. In this story Dr. Caitlyn Rhodes is presently living in her hometown and works as a radio talk show host. She has also been practicing as a clinical psychologist for 7 years because she just wants to help people. She has secrets of her own that have changed her entire life, but secrets have a way of not keeping hidden long if the right person looks closely enough. Texas Ranger Ian Pierce has recently moved home to Longhorn. He's grown increasing worried about his grandmother since the death of his father 9 months ago and issues with his brother and the family farm. The first case he is called in on is the murder of a politician's daughter. As he further digs into the case he finds she has ties to Caitlyn, the girl he grew up with and fell in love with many years ago, but also the girl who left him without a word of explanation.
As the case heats ups and several important factors come to life, Ian finds Caitlyn might have a target on her back marked for murder and vows to protect her at all cost. This book captured me from the first page with vivid characters and a plot full of twists and turns. If you loves suspense then this a book for you.
I received this book from the author. I was not expected to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Texas Ranger Showdown. This is the third book in the Lone Star Justice Series. I always enjoy Margaret's books and this one is an awesome example of her work. This story is well written, action packed, and full of intrigue. I know you are going to love it.
Radio Therapist Caitlyn Rhodes receives a mysterious call on her radio show. The man said "Stop Me"now she had found out that one of her patients was the first victim of the now called 'Stop Me' killer. Another patient is found dead. Why is he targeting her patients? Texas Ranger Ian Pierce is there to help her. They were once best friends. How can she be drawn to him when a killer is out to destroy her?
Texas Ranger Ian Pierce is called in by the Longhorn Sheriff. A woman's body has been found. A senator's daughter. Ian had hoped to have some down town when he moved home. His brother was totally out of control and his grandmother wasn't doing well. Now he is thrown into a major murder case. Bodies are popping up and his first love is somehow being dragged into the mess. Can he keep the woman he loves safe? Could his brother be involved?
A great journey to try to find the killer and stop him while both their lives are in danger. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. You might not have an armed killer chasing you but you do have any enemy. He came to steal, kill, and destroy but Jesus came that you might have life and have it more abundantly. He loves you. Give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.

One thing I can always count on when I pick up a book with Margaret Daley's name on the cover I will be entertained. Her newest novel, Texas Ranger Showdown, took me on a fast-paced adventure that kept me turning the pages faster and faster.

Dr. Caitlyn Rhodes and Texas Ranger Ian Pierce found themselves racing against the clock to discover who was killing Caitlyn's patients and taunting her by 'asking' her to "Stop me". Just when I thought I might know what was going on I found myself going in another direction. Ms. Daley has created a serial killer thriller in which her characters will capture the reader's heart.

I would highly recommend picking up a copy of Texas Ranger Showdown especially if you love a fast-paced fiction read.

On a 5-Star Scale - 5 Stars!!!!!

I would like to thank the author for my copy of Texas Ranger Showdown. I received my complimentary copy with no expectations of a positive review.

This novel is part of the Lone Star Justice series. Ian returns home to help the sheriff solve some of his cases and immediately becomes involved in the murder of a state senator's daughter. His lifetime friend Caitlyn is soon involved and stalked by the killer. As Ian and Caitlyn try to find out who the murderer is, they discover they have romantic feelings for each other. I enjoyed the plot of the story but felt the characters could have been better developed. I also felt that the author could have worked on her sentence structure using sentence-combining techniques, and I felt that she might consider a brush-up course on her verb tenses. When two actions occur in the past, the past perfect tense is used to show which action occurred first, and the helping verb "had" is used to indicate this.

This was one of the best books that I have read in a while. Ian Pierce, and Caitlyn Rhodes dated during high school. After they graduated, they parted ways to conquer the world. Ian became a Texas Ranger, and Caitlyn is a counselor that also has a talk show.

Her patients are being pulled into an evil trap, and several have been murdered. The killer leaves a picture of the victim with the words “Stop me”. Ian and Caitlyn work together to find the killer before he kills again.

All the characters in this book were fantastic. I loved the grannies. Ian’s, and Caitlyn’s grandmothers were best friends. They also wanted to see Ian, and Caitlyn married. When the two families had to share a house to keep everyone safe, you can just imagine the fun they had.
In the end everyone got a HEA, but it did have some intense action, twist and turns and suspense. Awesome book!

Texas Ranger Showdown ( Lone Star Justice )
By: Margaret Daley
Wow, what a story. This is a great suspense story that is filled with action throughout the story. This is one of those page turners that I could not read fast enough to see what was going to happen next. Texas Ranger Ian Pierce is doing everything he can to protect Dr. Caitlyn Rhodes after she is losing her patients to a killer. Can Ranger Ian protect her? Will she be next? This story is well written and the characters were real like. The author did not disappoint.
I was given a complimentary copy , but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Someone is killing therapist Caitlyn's patients and leaving her a message. Stop Me. In come someone from Caitlyn's pass and now he is a Texas Ranger. Ian and her were childhood friends, in high school they became closer . But that changed one night when she told her ex boyfriend there was no chance of them getting back together. Is her ex boyfriend back to hurt her again. I thought I had figured out who the killer was but I was wrong. Wonderful story of love lost for 17 years, but God brought them back together.

Enter her lost love, Texas Ranger Ian Pierce, who has moved back to Long Horn, Texas to help his grandma and brother Sean, who is struggling with alcohol for reasons that will be known as well as why these horrible things are happening to Caitlyn. Pretty good! I had one killer figured out but boy was I wrong on the rest. Very intense throughout the whole story and kept me reading because I needed to figure out who was causing all the heartache in Caitlyn’s life and I’m glad Ian stepped up to the plate no matter what had happened in their past.

Well-done. A talk-show host/radio therapist faces not only the man from her past whom she never stopped loving but a killer making her the center of his revenge fantasies.

There are lots of guilty parties and lots of shame, past hurt and dysfunction here, but Daley makes the good guys face their demons. They may be scarred and hurt, but they don't give up.

Great mystery

Who was killing her patients?
This is a great, intriguing story about a counselor who had used therapy to help her survive a traumatic event. She is now a counselor driving to help people get through tough times.
The Texas ranger & local law enforcement work hard to find the killers.

Quite a good plot -- ending a bit weak.

Okay, I'll admit it. I didn't identify the bad guy. I really wasn't trying to either. This Kindle Unlimited book (and I appreciate the author and publisher making this a KU book) will keep you guessing. I just thought the ending -- the epilogue -- could have been better. Rating: 4.5 stars
