Does a genetically modified orphaned elephant calf hold the key to saving African elephants from extinction?Never Forget is an 8,000 word novelette that explores the themes of genetic manipulation and racial identity. Described by the author as “schmaltzy science-fiction”, Never Forget is a prequel to the short story, When Wales Cry (published in Eclectic Collection of Stuff and Things, Peggy Bright Books, 2017.)
Never forget is a story about how to save elephants by genetically engineering them so they shed their tusks. It is a good story but the idea was worthy of a novel. The book raises all manner of ethical concerns but it is an interesting concept. The story is well worth a read.
