Author of contemporary fiction featuring a wide variety of subjects and interest. I refuse to be boxed into a genre, there are so many interesting aspects of literature to explore. I want to give you the unexpected, the new, the thrill, the suspense. All the things you never expected, in twists and turns that make you think about a story, long after you have finished reading it. Not everything I write will be for everyone, I understand that its human nature to be different. But give me a chance, come and explore with me, perhaps we can find mutual ground to enjoy.
This book would have been fine if it stayed as a short story in an anthology. The story is even written like two stories just put together. I swear the villain in this story was like Jason and could never die or stay captured.
When I read the first part of this book in another book, I was really interested in it. Now that I have read the book, I wish I could get the time I spent reading it back. One, I don't think the book have enough back story about the characters. I would have wanted to know more about Sandra and Val's relationship. And why Damon was the way he was to Val and what did do to Sandra's and Val relationship. Val was annoying. She got mad at Peter for asking questions while on a date. For one, he's a cop. It's in their nature and two, you ask tons of questions on a first date. Lastly, I am not a fan of insta-love so I lost interest at how Peter poured his heart out to Val. And why don't people practice safe sex? This book annoyed me to no end. I would not recommend this book.
I have been waiting for this book since reading Part 1 in 7 degrees of Alphas. Ms Allen did make slight revisions for some parts in the beginning from the original but they were good revisions that helped the storyline and gave a little more insight in the type of relationship Val had with Damon. Ms Allen also taped intro the behavior of an abuser and their warped their sense of reality. PETER & VAL were good together and lived their chemistry. I wonder will occur between DOUG & BECCA🤔.
Val meets Peter on what turns out to be a bad day that continues to get worse. Peter is a cop and they meet at the police station when Val comes in to report her car stolen. What Val experiences between her abusive boyfriend Damon and her best friend Sandra when she gets home sends her straight into Peter’s arms. I loved watching the development of Val and Peter’s relationship. It was also very interesting to read how Damon plays into Peter’s investigation. I enjoyed the whodunit part of the story. I only wish we knew more about Damon and Sandra‘s relationship. Recommended by Uniquewords LLC.
WOW ! This is a great written romance with awesome characters and great dialogue. Definitely entertaining and worth reading, It will make you feel sorry for part of the story. But it's full of intrigued and suspenseful drama. Along with their sizzling hot passions it will keep you turning pages until the end. I enjoyed every moment of their relationship It's one that I didn't put my Kindle down until I finished the story if are like myself you will enjoy it because it's a captivating romance.
This book was recommended by Unique Word, LLC. Although the storyline was a good one, I found it difficult to stay engaged. The female character was portrayed as weak and needy. She was intelligent, but never thought to get any help from past trauma, or listen and heed her instincts. The hero was portrayed as an unthinking hothead at times, as well as domineering and controlling which would trigger most abuse victims.
The snippet I read a while ago was really good, and even though it took a minute to get the entire book it was well worth the wait. Jones and Val were a lovely couple. That Damon was a slippery so and so wasn't he? Glad he was finally captured and an end was out to the terror plaguing the city. Now I'm left wondering if Dougie will find his one in Becca.
I have been waiting on this book for a while now. It was a lil different from when I first read it but still just as good. Jones and Val were amazing for each other even though there were a few bumps along the way. Damon was crazy. He had the mindset of if I can't have you no one can. I was glad when they finally got him. This was an awesome book.💕💟
Allen takes the reader on a journey that makes you feel as if it is in real time. Talk about consequences of knowing and having a relationship with a person. I did like how Val’s circumstances with Damon led to her car being stolen , which brought her to the police station where she encountered Peter whose boss was working with Damon’s crime team. Full circle . Brilliant!
Val made quite a few stupid decisions. She really got on my nerves. I can't imagine anyone being as naive and careless as she was. But she made a great decision with the hero and he most definitely kept the interest going. Nice writing author 👍
Well I finally got to finish this book. And it was just as good as what I expected. You write more than sex you tell a story with every line of the book keeps you wanting more. 5 books from you and they all have been excellent.
The tale was weaved with dangerous intentions and a love story that prevailed throughout it all. Nothing could stop Pete's need to keep Val safe, protected and loved.
I enjoyed the first half of this book last year and was happy to come across the complete story. Peter fell in love at first site. I believe Val did also. I would have liked to find out what happened to Sandra. Hoping Doug and Becca have their own story. Great work.
The story was very interesting. I only had a problem in a few areas. I could never clearly see Peter. And how was Damon able to kidnap Val at will? Decorated police offers outsmarted too much. Aside for those issues, the story was pretty good.
I loved the Suspense and Flow of the book. It kept me wanting to know what's next. This book was definitely a page turner for me. Book was recommended by UniqueWord LLC
