This book is about the journey of a woman navigating through the reality of her tortured past. It's a raw look into the life of an adult struggling to recover from childhood trauma as a result of physical, verbal, mental and sexual abuse inflicted upon her as a child. It's a roller coaster of emotions as one woman trades in her pain for purpose to break through generational curses where she takes a stand against family secrets and silence. She travels through the darkest hours of her life so she can stand against acceptance of child abuse in any form. This is the testimony of a woman saying Enough is Enough!
I love love love this book. It’s about a person a person who grew up through a tough time and now is a strong a leading woman. She didn’t just do this on her own accord, she did to help other girls and woman who go through the same/similar situations. I’ve had to read this book piece by piece trying not to cry but I know she’s a strong person at the end which makes me feel a little bit better. It’s a awesome book and would highly recommended it to everybody to read.
I read this book all at once as I could not put it down. Although at times I had to put it down or attempted to throw it across the room due to the pain which was afflicted upon her. It makes you want to find the people that hurt her. The author was able to make the book come alive as if you were watching drama unfold right before your very eyes. When I reflect upon this book, I felt like I had watched a movie or happened to be a ghost there with her that no one could see as I screamed and tried to save her. I imagine this book had to have been one of the hardest things this author ever had to do but I do hope it helped free her. This book made me stronger and made me realize there are a lot more secrets out there than we know. I highly recommend this book to read. Silence needs to be broken in every home.
You can literally feel the page through the pages as the author shares her truth. I have so many mixed emotions after reading this. This book was raw and unfiltered! Great read....wondering if there will be a part 2. FYI: there are many trigger warnings which I truly appreciated from the author. So many people have failed this young soul.....but GOD!
Tiera is a brave and strong lady, because it takes great strength to write and publish a book the darkness that has been endured. As a childhood trauma survivor, I really admire her courage to speak out about the monsters who violated her, as well as the people who failed to protect her and have her back. This book is highly recommended!
