Sparrowood Academy

Rate this book

Sparrowood Academy is for the elite. The rich. The well connected.

Eden Warren is none of those things. She’s spent most of her life in Kingston, mostly hanging down at The Park with her sister, Hope. When Hope goes missing, Eden makes a last-ditch effort to find her by going to Hawk, her enemy and the leader of the K-Boys, for help.

Sparrowood Academy is filled with darkness. Entitlement. Brats.

No one knows why they’re there. Why the K-Boys and Eden are giving a shot for a world class education among the spoiled and privileged. They’ll need to take care of one another.

One thing’s for certain; there’s a target on their back.

Sparrowood Academy is part one of this new contemporary, gritty, YA reverse harem series by best-selling author, Angel Lawson.

Angel Lawson's books can be a hit or miss and the first book of Sparrowood Academy was most definitely enjoyable.

Eden comes from Kingston, the bad part of the bad neighborhood. Since her sister's disappearance, she has been by herself, blaming the world and more particularly the K-Boys, the Kings of their universe and appointed guard dogs of their people. But when all four of them are picked out to go undercover in a boarding school for rich kids, they are forced to join force.

The beginning of the story can seem oddly confusing. The book alternates with point of view and the reader doesn't know at first who are the main characters and what the eff is happening. But soon enough, Angel Lawson pulls us in the story and make us root for the character and feel utterly disgusted by whatever is going on in this freakish school.

I gotta say, it differs a bit from a classic RH -young adult or not- as it does not primarily focus on the romance. This time, it is not about being a slow, medium or fast burn, it's more about characters putting their differences aside for the greater good. They are more partners in crime -or investigation if I may- than friends, let alone lovers. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is pretty refreshing as the story gets a real plot to back up the lack of romance. HALLELUJAH!

Trigger Warning: blackmail, abuse, underage sex, drugs and seriously fishy hazing. While the book is not overly dark nor dramatic it revolves around really somber issues and bullying.

See, I told you guys - bully RH books were my thing last week. Again, no correlation - I think?

Sparrowood Academy was such a fun read! I feel like I was zooming through my freaking ebooks on this damn vacation. No idea why.. because tons of alcohol was involved. Yet, I still found time to read - like on the train, in bed, in the car, at dinner, at the baseball game... BASICALLY EVERYWHERE BITCHES. If I can read - I read. Pretty simple.

In it, you will meet Eden. She was pretty interesting because she was a bad ass. No one wanted to mess with her and I was allll for that. Well, until the day stupid people tried to mess with her. Little did they know, she had back up. Ugh, handsome ass back up. The guys in her little RH were unique and hot. Wait, did I mention how gorgeous these guys were yet? Huh - weird.

This kind of reminded me of west side story a bit - never read it but watched the movie. Or maybe like Grease - again, the movie. Mostly because it kind of seemed gang related but not really. Brats vs Kings (or whatever they called themselves in the park). It was pretty interesting seeing how these guys all tried to blend in with people they hated. Plus the Brats.. well they acted like brats. Definitely spoiled rotten kinds that were born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

Overall, I really liked this one and I can't wait to see what the next book will bring. I'm thinking revenge or something worthy of my eyes due to that ending. Ugh, here I go!

Eh this one was just okay. It had an interesting premise but the execution just wasn't there for me. Things didn't feel fleshed out enough and it was hard for me to truly get invested in these characters. I don't think I'll go on to the next books but the ending wasn't a bad cliffhanger so I feel okay leaving it here.

This was a good and interesting RH read. The story was interesting and contemporary, no supernaturals or magic here. Our heroine Eden is from the band side of town if you will. So are the K-boys, a neighborhood gang of sorts who have a scary reputation but who also keep on eye on things in the neighborhood. Eden and the guys (Theo, Hawk and Gray, possibly an ex K-boy too but I’m not sure) after getting caught and threatened with time in juvie are given the choice of attending an elite school and assisting the hours that be or serving time. Eden just wants to find her missing sister, who disappeared after Brats aka rich spoiled young adults who have started frequenting their slums. The Brats bring their own kind of trouble with them and Eden knows they have something to do with her sisters disappearance and when she is also given the option of having her mom sent to rehab, Eden can’t turn down the job of spying on the Brats and finding out secrets going on at this school. Together Eden has to work with the guys and her feelings towards them don’t take long to shift from derision and blame to curiosity and acceptance. Sparrowood Acandemy is just as horrible as any high school however it is filled with the rich, spoiled youth that don’t face consequences like normal citizens do. Their parents money can speak for them and basically get them out of anything. But like any school their is a hierarchy and those at the top are not the good guys. Eden and even the guys at the end still left me wanting. This is my only complaint about the book. They are supposed to be feared back home and basically all are badass. I didn’t get that vibe at all, there was incidents with Eden where she is let’s say accosted and they never get their revenge. She has many inner thoughts about her badassery and how she will get retribution but it didn’t see it play out. Was a bit of a letdown. However I still hope we haven’t seen her or the guys at their best and I’m curious to see where the story goes.

I like the general feel of this book. This series has great potential and it starts off a little different than other Dark High School romances. I’m interested to see where the next book leads. But there was one thing that persuaded me to write this review. I noticed that there seems to be an inconsistency with how many K boys there are. Sometimes Eden says “ four boys”, instead of three! It’s quite annoying and Happens a few times. Don’t know how they missed that in editing. This is what held me back from giving it 4 stars.

3.5-4 stars. This was actually a really unique spin on the bully romance craze going on. Instead of an FMC just getting beat down by a group of guys, this girl brings some homeboys with her in a unique sleuthing style plot trying to bring down the rich bullies. I have to say that having some people get your back makes a huge difference in the feel of a bully romance. I actually really enjoyed the change up. Character wise the FMC, Eden is pretty hostile, but I could feel her growing on me more towards the end as she starts letting loose a little. All the guys are different and unique in their own ways which makes it easy to put everyone in their perspective corners. World building was pretty straightforward so no problems there.

Eden has grown up in the slums of Kingston, hanging at the park with her sister and all the other kids of the area.. until the suburb and rich kids started encroaching on the area bringing a whole different way of life to their neighborhood. Now everyone is into drugs, sex, and crime and shes barely surviving, especially after her sister started hanging out with the "Brats." Now she has been missing for a while now with no leads other than the lead Brat of the area. The old gang who used to keep everyone in check can't even help her and she blames them just as much as the Brats for her sisters disappearance. While following her last lead she recruits the "Kings" to help her out and they all get busted.. and sentenced to... prep school? Only they get to go in and find out whats really going down at the prep school, bribery, drugs, sex, trafficking you name it.. they just have to find proof in order to stay out of juve. Even life on the streets, though, hasn't prepared them for the ruthlessness of these kids though.. what they and their parents are willing to do to keep all the power.

It was a good read and I'm super interested to see where this goes especially since some hints at the end here are pointing to Eden finding her sister or at least finding more clues/leads. Realistically besides the fact that its slow burn RH, I doubt anyone would let them throw these minors in a dangerous situation in order to sleuth out info but hey its fiction lol.

I've been a big fan of Angel Lawson's since I stumbled upon the Wayward Sons series a few months ago. She has this ability to write characters you love, root for, and just want to be friends with. Sparrowood Academy is no different. We meet Eden and learn she's in a crappy situation, but one that's made her hard and tough, and you instantly want to protect her. Her sister Hope has gone missing because she got in with the wrong crowd, and reading her devastation instantly makes your heart break. It's around this time we learn about the K-Boys, a group of boys who essentially "run" the Park where they all hang out. Mysterious, broody, potentially dangerous, I was intrigued by these boys from the start and could feel myself hoping that they were looking out for my girl Eden (who I was very invested in at this point.)

One thing leads to another, and we're lead on an adventure where Eden and the boys have to protect each other within the halls of Sparrowood Academy and we learn that there are even worse people in life than who they're used to dealing with on the streets. This book has drama, slow-burn romance, characters you want to punch, and characters you want to succeed with every fiber of your being. This book gripped me and I ended up inhaling it in a day (actually ended up reading it twice) and I find myself (im)patiently waiting for book 2.

Angel Lawson has a way of knowing what I want to read and the first book in the Sparrowood Academy series is no different.

***I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review***

Sparwood Academy, the place where four people from the wrong tracks are headed. They made their choice and now they’ve immersed themselves in the dark, rich, and cruel world of the young elites. It begins as a job, but the four of them soon realize that to survive, they must stick together.

Book one was amazing. I am definitely one of those people that judge a book for being too short. It said about 206 page on kindle. All I could think was, “how can you write a decent story in so little pages?” Well, I’m about to eat some humble pie because this was great.

The story was well developed and interesting. I’m not a fan of bully stories since they’re really overdone. BUT, I am a fan of this kind of bully story. Where the heroine and heroes are on one side, and other people are trying to bully them. Also, we all love a story that revolves around boarding school.

There was suspense in this story. In a way it reminded me of The Boys of Brayshaw High just a bit different. The suspense mixed with bullying and romance really adds to the reading experience. And can I say, I absolutely loved that there was no rush on the steam, but I could feel the chemistry between the characters.

Now I’m going to binge read book two!!

Well what can I say. These kids go through so much. It's not a world that I know off outside of books and films. This has been set up nicely. $ kids are given a second chance when they are taken off the street and placed in a school set up for wayward rich kids. They are asked to infiltrate and to clean up the school. In this book They take on Luke who uses sex against girls to get them to have sex more and more. There is a world of drugs, drink, hazing and bullying. Eden and her boys take Luke down but not before a girl really suffers under his hands. It's be interesting to see what happens next.

Recommend: Yes
Spice: 🌶️
Age recommendation: 16-30+ Years

Plot:

A young girl aged 17 growing up on the streets in a bad area. She started off in a well off family, until her father died. Then her family ended up living on the wrong side of town, mother a drug addict and sister missing. She blames a boy names Sawyer Hawkins aka Hawk. She asks him to help her find her sister one day, but ends up jumped by the police and placed in juvie. A school named Sparrowood give them the opportunity to go to the school instead of juvie if they infiltrate the school and find all the rule breakers there.
Hawk and his 2 minions Grey and Theo say yes and so dose Eden.
They arrive at Sparrowood only to discover its worse then they thought, they are meant to act like they don’t really know each other, but soon work out its better to make everyone think they are dating for protection. Luke and Camile are the top dogs in the school, Luke makes women do sexual acts on him etc and Camile bosses the girls around like lap dogs. They end up going up against each other. Eden and her Harem manage to get enough dirt on them to get them removed from the school, however Trip ends up taking his place instead.

My feelings:

I didnt mind this book, its more young adult style book without a lot of spice, but its written really well and is only 200 pages long so its a nice quick read.
The main MCs are written really well.
Eden is a tough young girl who has learned to hold her own, and sent conform to the normal. She is falling for the boys even though she was only fake dating them.
Grey is a massive sweetheart, I loved how he always treated her like she was a queen even before they fake dated. He also was the first to show his real feelings towards her and kiss her without needing to.
Theo, oh sweet boy, he is a grey area boy. Junkie trying to get clean, and slowly learning to manage life without drugs for the first time. You can tell he doesn’t know how to deal with his feeling for her, and also way to scared to act on them. But the way he smashed the camera at the club was soooooo sexy.
Hawk, sweet baby Jesus. I love me a man who is the leader, buff, smart and a little dangerous, he is the book bf in this series that’s for sure. I wish he would just man up and tell her he has liked her for ages. Even when they were on the streets. He is a foster kid, so I feel he has some major PTSD going on so im keen to see him develop as the series goes on.
Dorian, ex head of the k-boys. Now reformed and working at Sparrowood. I wanna delve into his pants and see what secrets he is hiding. I feel like we have a 4th Harem member hiding in this man. He isn’t to old that its gross, just a few years, but old enough that it will be nasty if they do anything. I don’t want them to do anything till she is old enough, but I also kind of do cause I like him a lot!

“Probably has no idea what to do with the fact you just turned into jailbait,” Gray replies in that slow, easy drawl. “Princess, you look so good a million men would go to prison to get a piece of you.”

What happens when you take a girl, Eden, from the streets, trying to survive, and decide to use her to help find some wrongdoings going on in a wealthy academy? But add in three of her "enemies" from those same street, the 3 boys that actually might be the only thing to protect Eden? And it's not just a wealthy academy for the rich and powerful, it's the boarding school where the worse of the worse go. And it's this academy that is harsher and darker than the streets these 4 teenagers come from.

In this dark, enemies to lover, reverse harem, the author, Angel Lawson, gives the reader many great characters. She also writes a strong plot that will being the reader through this Sparrowood Academy trilogy, so make sure to read in order (and all 3 books are out so don't have to wait long to survive the cliffhangers). Every detail and character (even sexy bad boy turned good, Dorian)are important to build the scene of this dark, harsh story, and Lawson does it very well, keeping the reader on the edge of our seats.

Warning thou that this is a dark story surrounding some harsh topics that might not be appropriate for all readers. (drugs, sex (both consensual as well as non-consensual), and fighting to name a few the reader will encounter. But if you are fine and proceed past my warning, I highly recommend this book.

Another amazing read by Angel Lawson. A must read! I am a huge fan of her books and I’m easily swept up in the worlds and characters she creates. Sparrowood did not disappoint.

Sparrowood Academy - Book 1 has more mystery and suspense then her other RH novels, all wrapped in the delicious chemistry of the main character and her men. I can’t wait for book 2 to come out and answer some of the many burning questions that book 1 has left me with.
In true Angel Lawson style, she has created four awesome characters and I feel a book boyfriend hangover is imminent. Eden is beautiful, strong, determined and hardened by her life but she still has a vulnerability about her as well.Hawk, Gray, Theo are three distinctively different guys that come together to make a whole. Hawk the dominant protector, Gray the charmer and Theo the sensitive and sweet one. I love the chemistry that Eden has with each man but the relationship between her and Theo is super sweet. Loved it and can’t wait for book 2.

So I am a big fan of a rough around the edges FMC gets thrown into a very different, in this case rich society academy. I like to see how adaptable they are, but I also really like when they stand by their morals and values despite how easy it would be to conform. The FMC stood up for herself and others and didn’t crumple under any of the bullying.

I liked the MMCs, but they felt a little one dimensional. I think it was only because the book was so short. A lot of scenes went by so fast. They could’ve lingered more on them and made them more impactful, but by the time something happened, it was over before me or the characters could really process it. Since things went so quickly, there was no suspense, no time to be anxious about the situations they had to overcome, and no time to revel in their relationship advancements. They also really brushed over all the trauma the girls especially at that school are experiencing.

I think this series has a lot of potential and if the author slows it down in the next book, it could be a lot better.

This book brings out what can happen in real life. We have the poor and the rich reminds me a little of “West Side Story” but with a twist to a academy scene. Eden is a strong girl who don’t take crap. The K-boys who try’s to watch out for everyone, even though Eden can’t see it do to what happened to her sister. They get asked to go to the academy to spy on the kids there. What will happen? Will Eden put her anger away? Will they get pulled in to far? Can the K-Boys protect Eden? I received a free audiobook for my review. I do own e-book of this story.

Angst and unexpected turns.

A little slow in the beginning but it heats up real quick and kept me on my toes. I enjoyed the multiple POVs and how each of their personalities is so unique. The angst is fire and pacing is good after the story gets started. So excited to see what’s next.

Eden once had a 'normal' life, parents, a sister, a nice home. Now her dad is gone, their home is gone, her mom stays self-medicated, and she and her sister hang out in the shady world of The Park. When her sister goes missing Eden is not about to give up on her. Desperate she goes to the Kings of the Park, the K-Boys and their leader Hawk for help with a lead. However, it was a set-up. Eden and the K-Boys find themselves given the choice of juvie or Sparrowood Academy, a school for the rich and famous. They can get a world-class education among the spoiled and privileged but it will come with a price. One that could be deadly.

It's no secret that I am a huge Angel Lawson fan. I think her RH's are fantastic. She captures the vulnerability of teenage girls struggling with inner demons and puts them on a road of discovery. They each find love but they also find themselves. Each evolves into a confident, happy, successful young woman. I love the sense of accomplishment and hope. Eden is stronger than Ms. Lawson's typical lead. She is struggling but it's more her circumstances than any insecurities. The world has not treated her kindly. She has brains, beauty, a sense of justice, and untapped potential. She's a sexy, feisty kitten with sharp claws. The K-Boys don't come across as likable on the surface as The Allendale Four or the Wayward Sons. However, there is something about them... Hawk is so guarded. I love his protectiveness, his loyalty, and his sense of responsibility to his 'family'. Gray has such confidence, arrogance, even a sense of entitlement. The world is his for the taking by any means he sees fit. Yet he does it with such charm. Theo breaks my heart. He shows how quickly everything can go wrong, that it's easy to be overtaken by demons, and that it's often without fault. He's lost control of his life, crossed lines, damaged his family. And Dorian, I'm not sure he's actually Eden's but I want for him to be! He is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He's cleaned up, wants to give back but still has the K in his DNA. I love him!

The characters will draw you in, the story will entertain you. The Academy setting is perfect for trouble. It provides the cast of entitled brats the seclusion that allows them power they wouldn't have out in the real world. It also allows more interactions between Eden and the K-Boys than there would normally be. There are several scenes that stole my heart but I will let you find that out on your own. The lines are drawn early and it's so easy to pick sides. The tension and suspense build throughout the book; so do the questions. Leverage, fear, control. Just what is going on? And right when you think the battle has been won, you discover that it was only the opening battle. The games aren't over yet.

Good story telling. Needs editor.

I really wanted to give this 5 stars, yet I feel like even 4 is too many in its current form. I can’t ignore the issues that are easily fixed. So 3 stars it is. The book is in serious need of an editor or at least test readers. Like others have mentioned, it sometimes feels like you’re reading a rough draft where the author made some major changes in the storyline and she is still in the process of correcting it. In this case, it feels like maybe the k-boys were 4 instead of 3 at some point because of the inconsistencies of how many of them there are. In one scene Eden says the 5 of us, but there were only 4 of them in the scene. One of the k-boys mentioned eyes on all 4 of them but he was referring to himself, Hawk and Theo. Maybe Dorian was originally part of the group with the others and was switched to a counselor/older k-boy later on? Or another boy was deleted? There were a few more scenes like that throughout the book and other smaller inconsistencies like eye colors.

Spoiler alert: The book did seem so rushed at the end as far as the removal of two students. They brought in 4 kids from the streets when all they needed was a kids phone? And why was Camille kicked out but others just as involved or more only suspended? There also should be a TW for the book on SA, drugs, bullying, etc.

Having said all of that, I really did like this very very slow burn RH. I like Eden and the k-boys. Not a fan of Dorian so far though simply because he is in a position of power and trust and shouldn’t be lusting after a 17 year old. I’m willing to keep an open mind about him though. Despite the issues I wrote about above, I couldn’t put the book down and finished it in a couple hours. Now moving on to book two. I do like Angels story telling. I just wish more time was spent on having it edited and maybe some test readers who could’ve picked up some inconsistencies for her to fix. I would have easily given 5 stars.

“Because girls make stupid decisions when they’re drunk. They walk home alone when they shouldn’t or lose their purse or keys.” I look up at him and touch his chin. “Or they do things with handsome boys in stairwells that they’ll regret the next day.” “I’ve been many things, but I don’t want to be one of your regrets.”

A thoroughly enjoyable RH bully tale where the kids from the block are coerced into enrolling at Sparrowood Academy filled with brats. An array of colourful characters entwined in a storyline that has you wanting answers. Unable to put this one down until the early hours of the morning. The bullying was balanced with some suspense and although it is an RH it’s not about sex at least not in the first book. A very good introduction to the series, although at times it was a little predictable. Unsure if I missed something, but why they were placed under arrest was blurred and I would of liked further backstory or clarification.

Eden lives with her drug addict mother, who makes terrible partner choices. She’s had to fight her way though life to stay safe. Her sister is missing and she’s seeking answers to her whereabouts and is she still alive. Heading to the park where skaters, runaways and drug dealers hand to confront one of the K-Boys. She blames Hawk for Hopes disappearance and navigating past Trip a rich boy who lures in girls who are starry eyed by his money and party pills is one of her many obstacles.

Hawk is the leader of “The Kings” or the K-Boys as people call them. He’s been observing Trip Cohen and has been watching out for the Warren sisters, but he dropped the ball when he was distracted by Eden. Hope went missing and he blames himself. When she comes asking questions they’re caught in a trap and given an ultimatum that puts them in a difficult position.

Eden & K Boys (Hawk, Theo & Gray). I have mixed feelings about this series. I devoured it and finished all 3 in like a day and a half so the storyline kept me engaged but it lacked romance. Its probably a good thing because these are high school kids and while they had to deal with life shit that no kid should have to deal they also shouldn't be having the kind of relationship as mature as a RH is.

IDK if this is even a true reverse harem because its like she just has 3 separate boyfriends. Given their age I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't have jealousy issues.

Eden has an addict for a mother, her sister has disappeared and she maneuvering in a neighborhood where her friends have sell themselves to get by.

Hawk is the leader of the K Boys (role is that of a neighborhood protection gang of some sorts). He's bounced around from foster home to foster home.

Gray is the charmer and thief.

Theo is an addict coming from a privileged life but kicked out because of his addiction.

The "Brats" are the rich kids that come down to their neighborhood to "slum it".

Eden and the K Boys get caught by police (not sure what the crime was) and their last chance was to enroll at a boarding school to help administration (former leader of the K Boys) find and stop the criminal activity in the school.

The story was good but Eden was a total tease. I mean she would rile up the boys and leave them hanging. Granted they didn't want to force her but c'mon...these are teenagers.

This first book introduces us to the school, cliques, and our main characters. Eden comes in hating the K Boys (blaming them for the disappearance of her sister) but needs them to protect her from the hazing she's getting from the brats. They take down the head boy and girl that were the leaders in the bullying and criminal activities in Sparrowood.

Exhilarating!!

What a kick butt feast for the eyes!! Nothing better than a fierce, smart female who won't back down or take any guff from anyone else. Especially alpha male sadistic bullies and their sidekicks. Eden's life hasn't always been rough... Originally her family lived in suburbia UNTIL her dad vacated his position as husband/father and therefore losing their home and safety. Eden and her big sister Hope, along with their mum moved into a sketchy part of town while her mum numbed herself with anything that helped. As long as she had Hope, Eden would be fine. Until one day when Hope suddenly vanished without a trace. Eden did everything she could think of to uncover leads of her sisters whereabouts. Which leads us to Eden and three out the most powerful guys in her neighborhood ending up in a holding cell together hearing some person in a suit claim they can pass GO and go directly to a rich boarding school. Uh huh..sure, and what's the big shiny catch? Turns out some serious shady biz is going on in this boarding school. Nobody knows exactly what's happening, but the higher ups DO KNOW it's far from good. Crazy social scheming, bullying galore, secrets, lies and human chess moves are constantly happening. Who is friend or foe? Can these people lead Eden to her ultimate end game...Hope? The school itself also has crazy layers of secrecy within. Let's hope Eden and her friends succeed in unfurling many of those secrets, and possibly bring down a titan or two! Three cheers for Eden, I for one can't wait to see what happens NEXT!!! bring on book two 😊💗

I’m giving this 3.5
Run down since the summary is vague AF

Story is about Eden, 17/18? Can’t remember the age but any way she lives in a shitty part of town, didn’t used to though. Once her family was well off suburbanites until her dad left. Then her mom started doing drugs becoming a total junkie cunt and her sister has recently vanished after getting into the wrong crowd.
And the Kboys, being Hawk, Gray, and Theo (same age as Eden) The “thugs/kings” of Kingston Park hence Kboys.
Kingston Park is where everyone hangs out, drug deals, prostitution, just over all the underprivileged and mostly homeless juveniles and in recent times the “brats”(rich privileged kids) started coming as well. Not so slowly changing the area to suite them and none of the real locals are happy about it.

Eden is obsessed with her sisters disappearance and blames it on the Kboys because they should’ve been watching out for her.
The real story starts with them(4)being set up and given the choice of jail, or boarding school where they are supposed to infiltrate and find out who is bringing in all the drugs and violence they know is going on but have no proof of.

The good, the over all story and honestly I really like the characters and plot.

The bad, the beginning of the book is a serious back and forth of are there 4 Kboys or 3. They keep mentioning there being 4 of them butttttt there are only ever 3. You can see my highlights. It’s a simple error that should’ve been caught in editing at least like COME ON.

So far it's good but another reverse harem

I like it so far. However, my personal preference is that this should have been college. Secondly I see this is going the reverse harem route. What a waste. So it's about to have 4 men all obsessed with the girl and her having supposed intense feelings and extreme lust for them all. Yawn! Same thing in all of the reverse harems. No originality on that front.

I hate that when I find interesting suspense and good story flow lately it's a reverse harem. Like really only the minds that want a foursome or fivesome , thruple scenario can write intriguing books? Guess no author can have it all. Maybe this author will write a similar story without the weird four guys on one girl scenerio. I have nothing against it per se, except read one, read them all.

Same energy with most. No originality!
She is soooooo beautiful, empathetic and blah blah blah. They all can't wait to touch her. Oh.. and of course she is a horny virgin.

Anyway give me more story and plot. The extreme lust between all of them is just strange and in reality it would be temporary. I would be disappointed if it wasn't personally.

The logistics just wouldn't and shouldn't work. Have your hot lust filled fun for a few years then pick one. The others deserve a life where they can have kids and give the women of this virtual world a shot. Unless in this reality men greatly outnumber women.

Will be reading book two at some point. Know exactly where this is going. Hope author proves me wrong.

I first fell in love with Angel Lawson when I found the Allendale Four *swoon* and it didn't take me long to devour each of her other masterpieces. I've recently become invested in Academy books so when I found out Angel was releasing Sparrowood Academy, to say I was excited is an understatement.

As always, Angel did not disappoint. Eden, Hawk, Gray, and Theo have been hand-picked, after some crappy life circumstances and getting into trouble along the way, to attend Sparrowood Academy amongst the rich and privileged. This isn't just a free pass though; they've been chosen for a reason. Together they must figure out what sinister stuff The Brats of the academy are up to.

I loved Eden and her K-boys! I love that they come from a similar background, placed at Sparrowood as a unit. This is a refreshing take on an Academy series as all others I've read have been elitist boys vs white trash girl. It's definitely a bit of a slow burn (in my opinion - reflected in my star rating) and typically I prefer things to heat up a bit quicker but I really didn't mind! This first book provided solid character and plot development. The sparks are definitely flying between Eden and her boys and I can't wait to see their relationships moving forward in the next book. The storyline offers lots of suspense and angst that leaves you itching for the next installment in this story. I am so ready for book two!
