This is a sweet story. This book grabs my attention. I always have soft spot on small town romance. This book is more than small town romance. It is a story of family and forgiveness but done in a different way that other small town romance.

There is no over the top alpha male on Tuck. Instead we have a reluctant, loving and brooding hero. He is reluctant to move on after PTSD on his past. He hold guilt over the dead of his comrades. While he is busy brooding, a damsel in distress came and passed out in front of him. That damsel in distress is a single mother named Eliza. Her daughter Daisy is the cutest as button. It was Daisy who steal Tuck's heart and slowly the romance blooms between Tuck and Eliza.

I do love how the author gives us a cute sweet relationship between Tuck and Daisy. They set a father and daughter goal. Daisy is sassy and free spirited. Their relationship steal the show all the way to the end.

I am glad that Tuck is not the over the top alpha male. Instead by showing how vulnerable he is, makes me love this book more.

Overall this is a enjoyable read.

No rating for me. Please don't use my review to decide if you should read this book. This is an ARC so I have to write something.

I had to DNF very early on because I can't get passed the medical inaccuracies in the book. I'm sure most people won't care or notice but it's really hard for me. In the opening scene the heroine faints and her medical management just didn't make sense but whatever, I got over it. What tipped me over the edge was an explanation for a procedure done to Daisy, the 3 year old in the story. No physician would have done such a procedure. It's crazy how much it doesn't make sense. Again most people won't care but in my head it's the most ludricous, insane bit of medical information I think I've ever read in a book. You don't need to be a doctor or even consult one to get this information. You just have to google it and it frustrates me when authors don't even make that effort when writing their book.

Anyhoo... Daisy is the most adorable 3 year old and sexy ex-marine Tucker doting on her just about started to melt my heart. I'm sure this is a wonderful small town romance so PLEASE try this for yourself. I wish I could ignore all of the above and enjoy the love story myself.

What a cute read! I am loving this series - a trio of hot single brothers who are baby magnets - it's pretty ingenious, tbh.

Tucker is an ex-marine, a stickler for neat and tidy, comfortable with his solitary life and content with his bachelor ways (even if it gets a bit lonely). He is also dealing with survivor's guilt and some PTSD after losing his unit during his last tour. When Elisa and her adorable little girl, Daisy Elizabeth literally land at his feet, Tucker's whole world gets turned up side down and rattled around.

Single mom, Elisa never imagined a health scare would land her in Misty Bottom, with little money, a broken car and no idea what to do. And never in a million years did she think she'd ever meet a guy quite like Tucker. The town really comes to her rescue and supports her and her little girl at every turn. But Tucker, with his genuine affection for her and her baby easily sweeps her off her feet.

This book hits a lot of sensitive topics and I wasn't expecting it to get quite as deep as it did but I still enjoyed reading Tuck and Elisa's story. The emotional pull had me super invested in both Tuck and Elisa's HEA. Tucker was definitely running scared when it came to his strong emotions, top that with a heavy dose of stubbornness and Tucker played the hot and cold game like a pro. Elisa definitely cut him a lot of slack (this girl was a saint when it came to understanding him and giving him space when he needed it!) Daisy was a total cutie. She definitely livened up the story and helped balance the sometimes heavy moments with innocent and adorable levity.

4 stars for the sweet friends to lovers romance, the humor and the heart. I've Got You, Babe was a sweet story of forgiveness, acceptance and trust. The heat factor was simmering but stayed clean (fade to black love scenes) and it was 100% safe!

Memorable Moments: Every Daisy scene :) She was such a sweetie and I loved watching her with Elisa but especially with Tucker. She brought a lot of sweet moments to this story. And her instant bond with Tucker was one of the highlights in the story.

Would I recommend? I'd recommend, this author can write some sweet wholesome characters and I loved Brant and Molly's book & Elisa and Tucker were really cute too. I'll definitely be checking out Gavin's book in the future.

I've Got You Babe is a wonderful romance with both heart-warming and heart-breaking moments. Tucker is a troubled former Marine and Elise is a single mom with a precious little girl, Daisy. It takes place in a small town, full of kindhearted, nosy people. It was fun watching Tucker fall for both Elisa and Daisy despite his reluctance not to get involved.

This story comes with bits of everything, painful pasts and demons to overcome, blossoming romance, creating new lives, and finding home. It's an emotional one, sure to put a squeeze on the heart. I loved every minute of it. The characters had me growing attached to them within a matter of pages, you just couldn't help but feel their pain, love for one another, and the natural connection that they had. It was so beautiful to watch them heal, embrace this second chance at life they'd been given, and become a family. I highly recommend you get your hands on this book. It's an unforgettable journey that will be good on your heart, and leave you smiling!

I've Got You Babe is a sweet romance story. The characters are charming and entertaining. The plot is engaging but predictable. I think I've read too many similar stories lately, and that hindered my enjoyment of this one. This story will make you smile, and it has heart warming and heart breaking moments. It's always interesting to see how the author puts the puzzle together. Fast and light, yet meaningful, I believe romance readers will delight in this story. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

- Received an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for a fair review -
A quote (from ARC):
“If a person had to be stranded, Misty Bottoms, Georgia, was one heck of a place for it. The small town oozed Southern charm and its people were beyond warm and welcoming. The man beside her? Although she wouldn’t always call him warm, he ranked high up there at the top of the hot chart.”

A sweet story involving a troubled former Marine and a single mom with a precious little girl in a typical small-town setting, full of good-hearted, well-intended and sometimes very noisy people.
It was fun to watch Tucker fall for both Elisa and Daisy despite all his reluctance not to get involved. Sometimes I felt the attraction happened a little too fast, when they’ve only met and are already cuddling, a sort of intimacy that implies a longer relationship; but I have to say that fortunately sex happens only quite late in the story.
The mundane activities, the back and forth between Tucker and Elisa and Daisy’s chattering occupied large parts of the story, lengthening it.
I have my doubts about the way Tucker’s survivor’s guilt was overcome in the end.

I’ve Got You Babe by Lynnette Austin is the second book in her Must Love Babies series. We return to Misty Bottoms, Georgia, which was also the setting for Austin’s Magnolia Brides series, and continues to follow the Wylder Brothers. Tucker, our hero, is a former marine, who suffers nightmares about his marine friends who were killed, and he was the only survivor. Tucker works with his brothers at their auto renovation shop, and is mostly a loner, liking his privacy. One day everything will begin to change for Tucker.

Elisa Danvers, our heroine, arrives in Misty Bottoms with her young daughter, when her car breaks down. Elisa is desperately trying to get to her mom’s house before her money runs out. When Tucker comes upon them, he offers help, but then Elisa faints and Tucker takes Elisa and her 3 year old daughter (Daisy) to the local doctor. Tucker, who is enamored (as we are) with the precocious Daisy, offers Elisa to stay the night at his house, which has a number of rooms; since the doctor took tests and she needs to wait for the results.

What follows is a sweet wonderful slow build romance that is destined to fail, as both Tucker and Elisa have their own issues. He with his nightmares, and feeling unfit to be around people; she with no money, a child who has a heart issue, and determination to get to her mom’s empty house (mother is away in Europe). In a short time, Elisa makes friends with the wonderful people in Misty Bottoms; gets help for her newly discovered diabetes, as well as help for Daisy; and slowly fights off her attraction to Tucker; whom she recognizes that he suffers nightmares, which he has a hard time controlling. Daisy was such a wonderful addition to this story, as you could not help loving her. Tucker knows he has strong feelings for Elisa and Daisy, but he is determined to fight it off, as he doesn’t want her to get hurt.

I loved Tucker, Elisa and Daisy, as they were so good together and so much fun to spend time with them. Misty Bottom is a charming town, and when things look like Elisa and Daisy will be leaving, one of those wonderful residents will offer Elisa a chance to a new career and happiness staying in Misty Bottoms. Will Elisa be able to convince Tucker that they do belong together?

I’ve Got You Babe was a wonderful heartwarming sweet story, with a fabulous couple and great secondary characters. Lynnette Austin always seems to give us such wonderful couples, and in the first two books of this series, adorable children; as well as giving us touching and well written stories. If you enjoy pure romances, small town atmosphere and wonderful couples, you need to read this series

I’ve Got You, Babe is the first book I’ve read by Lynette Austin, but it will not be the last! I am so glad I accepted the invitation from the publisher, via Net-Galley, to read and review. My opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way.

I thoroughly enjoyed this light-hearted romance with more depth than normally found in this type of novel. To be honest, I thought this would a fast read to while away a lazy afternoon with lively banner but very little substances. Wow, that was not the case!

Elisa Danvers is an engaging heroine with multiple layers. While she could have easily allowed her past heartache to color her world, she has pulled herself up by her bootstraps and is determined to give her adorable daughter, Daisy Elizabeth, the best life possible. She a truly nurturing character and this comes through in all her relationships, including her friendship with the hero.

Tucker Wylder’s character has a lot more depth than I expected. On the surface, he’s an easygoing guy, but underneath looms heartache. He’s returned to Misty Bottoms, Georgia after leaving the marines. Tucker had challenged his commanding officer, and the hard-ass confined him to base while sending his buddies on a hopeless mission. None of them survived. He suffers from a great deal of guilt and has horrific nightmares.

I loved Elisa’s gentle understanding and desire to help Tucker when she learns of his troubles at night. This is another example of her nurturing nature. While there is a strong attraction between the heroine and hero, the emotional connection is more important than the physical. I love that. It’s not to make light of the desire they feel, but for me, the emotional feelings needs to be there for love to blossom and flourish.

Daisy Elizabeth is an important secondary character and adds greatly to my overall enjoyment of this heartfelt romance. She is a pure delight. She takes to Tucker from the beginning when he cares for her after her mother faints at the beginning of this story. She clearly wants him to be her daddy!

Tucker is amazed over his strong urge to protect Daisy and her mother, but he can’t deny his developing feelings for the pair. Although he does run scared at one point, he cannot stay away long. I loved watching him battle his demons so he will be free to give his heart.

If you enjoy romances with plenty of heart and endearing characters, then you will love I’ve Got You, Babe as much as I did. I enjoyed it so much, I’ve already downloaded the Audible version of Must Love Babies, the first book in this delightful series. Happy reading!

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

I want to start this review by saying that I did not read book one in the series, but never felt that I was missing anything.

Tucker and his brothers run a very successful business restoring cars and bikes. They absolutely love what they do and despite the business side of things, they love working with each other. When Tucker is at work, he meets a woman who literally falls at his feet.

Elisa has not had it easy. She has absentee parents and married someone who, it turned out, wasn't her knight in shining armor. However, she has the most adorable daughter. And, despite all of the hardships, Elisa still wants to find a good life for herself and her daughter.

Misty bottoms is a community of people who genuinely care about each other. You have people who will go out on a limb to help those who are new. It was a sweet story about finding your place in life, letting go of guilt and simply being happy.

The relationship between Tucker and Elisa was decent, however, with Elisa's secret, it seemed like it was a huge deal. Then, the big reveal was anticlimactic. My favorite character was Daisy. She was feisty, adorable and helped move the story along.

Overall, this was a cute story, but lacked chemistry among the main characters.

4 Star review of I’ve Got You Babe (Bachelors & Babies #2) by Lynnette Austin

Sometimes all it takes is a word or a phrase jumping out from a blurb to reel you in. For me it was Misty Bottoms, Georgia.

This was a sweet romance between former Marine Tucker Wylder wants and single mum Elisa Danvers and her young daughter Daisy. Elisa is at the end of her rope with no-one she can depend on, until Tucker takes them under his protection.

The characters were likeable and easy to relate too and Daisy just about melted my heart on occasion. There were times that I thought my face would crack from the smiles and then there were times that it made me tear up.

The relationship that built between Tucker and Daisy was so heartwarming and made me smile.

A heart warming story that will surely tug on your emotions. Will Tucker and Elisa be able to put their pasts behind them and take a chance at happiness or are these lost and damaged souls destined to be alone forever?

We have a story or two people people who were not expecting each other but who truly needed each other especially now. They were dealing with painful pasts and getting over some demons and thankfully getting to know each other and being exactly what they never expected. It is a book with a whole bunch of feels, and you will and will be so happy that these 2 will be given a second chance and become a real family.. Enjoy!

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Tucker's initial response to Elisa and Daisy's situation is one of caring yet wariness. His time in military left him with deep scars - more than the ones on his skin - and he's afraid. He doesn't want anyone to know about his nightmares, of how he doesn't sleep. Since he works with his brothers, there is no way he can hide everything from them.

Elisa is also a person that doesn't like her weaknesses known. She's independent - she has to be as a single mom. Fainting in front of Tucker Wilder is not her best moment. Finding out that she needs to stay in town (which she can't afford) is something that she doesn't need now. She needs to get to her mother's place so that she will have a roof over her head for her and her daughter.

There's something about Elisa that calls to Tucker. He can't let her leave town nor can he let her stay in a hotel room until the doctor pronounces her well. He wants to take care of her, which is something that he's never wanted to do with anyone else.

Elisa is wary of Tucker's motives, yet she senses his good heart. Taking a chance for both her and Daisy, she agrees to stay with him until she's back on her feet healthwise. What she didn't plan on was how much her daughter comes to love her "Tut". If Daisy loves Tucker, he can't be all bad, right?

This is a book that I couldn't put down and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

**My thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is the second book I have read by this author, the second book in the series, and I am not disappointed.

We get to see a little of the previous book couple Brant and Molly, however we do get to see more characters involved which is nice. Desdi is certainly quite a character and you cannot help but love her.

Tucker is former military and has not yet gotten over the death of his friends and team before he came out of the miliary and struggles especially at night time. It is only when his world is upended when Elisa collapses in his garage.

Elisa is very much down on her luck and when she finds herself out of a job and out of her home she packes up her daughter Daisy Elisabeth and they head out for Charlston, however they never get there.

Both help each other out in ways that they did not see coming and it was lovely to see how everyone rallied around and helped not only Elisa and her daughter, but Tucker too.

I have been really enjoying this series and cannot wait until the third brother gets his happy ending.

I've Got You, Babe by Lynnette Austin is book two in the Must Love Babies Series. This is the story of Tucker Wylder and Elisa Danvers. I have yet read the previous books so for me this was a standalone book. Tucker has returned to Misty Bottoms, Georgia after getting out of the marines. Although he puts on a fun loving guy he has demons that are always present for him. Elisa is a single mother who is just working to get by with all that is going on. Of course they both find themselves very attracted to each other but both have things to work out. Elisa with her big heart does try to help Tucker deal and he wants to protect her and his heart is quickly being taking over by Daisy Elizabeth who has her eye on him for father material.
Enjoyed their story.

Tucker Wylder isn't returning to Misty Bottoms as the man he use to be, that man is now replaced with a man that is swimming in regret and excruciating pain. He's hoping he can just bury himself in work at the garage, and the demon's he is carrying will just slip away. Solitude is what he craves, he just wants to have to worry about himself, and nothing else, no other complications.

But that becomes easier said then done when a beautiful stranger and her three year old daughter come crashing into his world. He doesn't want to get involved with them, but with Elisa's health and her three year old daughter needing to be cared for, he can't help but embrace his need to caring and compassionate. What starts off as nothing more than a helping hand quickly becomes something else, something that Elisa and Tucker never planned on finding!

I've Got You, Babe is a story that should not be missed, between it's lovable characters and heartfelt words it's certain to be a memorable read. This story line comes with bits of everything, painful pasts and demons to overcome, blossoming romance, creating new lives, and finding home... it's an emotional one certain to put a squeeze on the heart. I loved every minute of this one, the characters had me growing attached to them within a matter of pages, you just couldn't help but feel their pain, love for one another, and the natural connection that they had. It was so beautiful to watch them heal, embrace this second chance at life they'd been given, and become a family... they made my heart so happy! I highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's an unforgettable journey that will be good on your heart, and leave you smiling!

This is the book for you if you love moppets and people who take in strangers for no discernible reason. The heroine swears up and down she wants to be independent but mooches off everyone in town as soon as she arrives. She is also one of those Book Moms who doesn't have the sense to sue her ex for child support because it's somehow nobler (in these kinds of books) to fend for yourself until the hero rescues you. Book felt very long.

Cute and entertaining. I liked Elisa and her daughter (I'm a big fan of the single parent trope) and how much love there was between the two. The opening was not what I was expecting but was enough to really intrigue me.

I could feel the chemistry between the characters and I enjoyed the fact they didn't rush into anything.

Good writing, good plot, and good characters.

Tucker and his two brothers owned Wylder Rides. Tucker desperately needed the fishing trip he was about to go on. He liked the quiet and peace in the early morning. The solitude before his two brothers arrived. He had unlocked the front doors of Wylder Rides- that restored vintage cars and motorcycles . In five days a Hollywood executive would be there to pick up his 63 Corvette after the frame off restoration was done. Tucker dropped to the creeper and got beneath the Corvette and got busy replacing the brake lines. Than Tucker heard a car pull in out front, it’s muffler was shot, the engine knocked, coughed and sputtered, then shut down with a rattle. Then he glanced at the front of the bay and saw a pair of legs that anyone, him included would drool over. Than he sat up and saw a woman who was beautiful and she said” my car-”and Tucker said” could use some work.” He got to his feet and said h this shop wasn’t a regular repair shop. But he could probably figure out what was wrong. If it was minor, he’d take care of it. Otherwise she’d better head into town to Robbie’s Garage or Robbie could bring his tow truck to pick her and the car up. Robbie was fair and would do right by her. Than the woman passed out tucker got to her before she hit the floor. Where were his brothers now? What was Tucker suppose to do with an unconscious woman? Then he heard a high wail and a little girl was strapped into a child’s seat. Misty Bottoms had no hospital or urgent care center. He tried again to wake the woman but she didn’t come to. Tucker called the sheriff to have an ambulance sent to his garage, He talked to the little girl, and cleaned her up a little and got her out of her seat. She said she wanted her mommy. When he got to the woman she was sitting up and told him to give her the little girl. The woman was Elise danvers. He met incredible troubled eyes and there was something almost magical that drew a man in. She had been pushing to get to her mother's empty condo instead of stopping to have a good breakfast. Tucker introduced his brothers-Brant and Gaven- to Elise. Elise thought thank god for the man and his fast actions so she didn’t hit the floor and he sort of took care of her daughter Daisy. The EMT told tuck to bring the little girl with him to Doc hawkins. Tucker made the mistake of looking into Elise’s eyes and seeing the frustration, worry, and more than a little desperation. Tucker than said it would be okay he’d take daisy and they'd be right behind her to the doctors. He said he realized Elise didn’t know him from Adam but these guys did . otherwise they wouldn’t trust him with her daughter. Tucker said he’d take Elise and daisy to his house when they realized there was nowhere in town for her to stay because of a wedding. He had plenty of room. Than after he thought what was he going to do with a kid and her sick mother. Throw in his nighttime habits and that spelled trouble. The doctor asked why he’d take Elise, not knowing her and Tucker answered he had some play it forward to do and he might as well start here. . The doctor said Elise could not drive. Tuckers gut screamed abort, the mission had gone south. Instead he asked the doctor what time he needed Elsie there the next day for more testing. Elise had worked at a library in Bowden until budget cuts forced her out of her job. She had no way to get a hold of her mother, last she heard her mother was in a remote part of Mexico to unearth relics from the past, relics she cared more for than the wellbeing of her daughter or granddaughter. That’s the way it always had been. Her father was unavailable, physically and emotionally. Luke- daisy’s dad had walked out on her. Daisy was born with a hole in her heart and the doctor hoped it would close on its own.
I loved this book. It was such a great read I didn’t want to put it down. I loved Tucker and Elise and how they interacted.Daisy added so much to this book I absolutely loved her. I loved how the author showed and handled tucker’s survival guilt from how he survived when his friends didn’t when he was a marine. I loved the mother Elise was and I loved how Tuck was with Daisy. I loved how close tuck and his family especially his brothers. I loved how warm and giving the town people were. I couldn’t find anything to criticize in this book-happily! A new favorite. I loved the plot and pace. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

I've Got You, Babe is the second book in the Must Love Babies series by Lynnette Austin. I did read the first book in the series, but each book can easily be read as a stand alone.

Former Marine Tucker Wylder wants nothing more than to work with his brothers in their vintage car restoration business and be left alone with his nightmares and regrets. The last thing he needs is to take on someone else’s troubles. Then Elisa Danvers and her young daughter arrive in Misty Bottoms, Georgia. Elisa has reached the end of the line—flat broke, engine trouble, sick in body and spirit. Tucker steps up to the rescue and finds himself reluctantly taking care of a feisty preschooler and her independent mother, who doesn’t seem to want his help. And Tucker isn’t sure he’s ready for the way precocious little Daisy and headstrong, beautiful Elisa herself capture first his bachelor household and finally his carefully guarded heart.

I've Got You, Babe is a sweet contemporary romance with a great deal of heart. Tucker is dealing with survivor's guilt and other after effects of his time in the military. He is trying to hold it all together for his family but everything is weighing on him more than he can admit. Elisa has been struggling all her life, more than ever since losing her job threw one more curveball her way. I love her fierce independence and willingness to do whatever it takes to take care of her daughter. When the chaos of Elisa's life collides with Tucker's forced order the result is thawing and growing trust on both sides. I loves the slow, sweet burm between the two- and how important actual communication and trust is in the story. My heart melted every time Tucker showed his softer side toward Daisy. I also liked the way his emotional wounds and struggles were handled- I thought his internalizing of it and reluctance to share were very realistic. Tucker and Elisa faced huge hurdle on their own, and together. I loved the secondary characters and the way everything was handled for all of their issues. I will admit though that my interest started to waiver after the half way mark in the book, and I cannot put my finger on why. I still wanted to know how everything comes together and how Tucker and Elisa get their happy ending but it was a lot easier to put the book down to cook dinner or go to bed after a certain point. I still enjoyed the read, and I am still glad I read it, but I was not fully engaged through the entire read.

I've Got You, Babe is a sweet romance and I think fans of the author will certainly want to read it. I fully plan on continuing to read the author's work.

Good story but another terrible leading man

All the other reviews will rave about Tucker I'm sure but the man is trash. As is always the case, the woman, Elisa, has been hit with wave after wave of hardship but continues forward with optimism and accepts the good things life has to offer. She went through absentee parents. The loss of the grandmother who raised her. Her daughter having a congenital heart defect and her husband leaving her because of it. Losing her job unexpectedly and her house being foreclosed on. Yet, she still treats everyone with kindness and opens herself to the world. She's brave and loving. Now Tucker... He lost some friends in the war which is terrible and would be difficult for anyone. Loss is loss regardless of where it happens though. He uses this as an excuse to shut hisself off. He wallows in self pity and decides he has nothing to offer anyone. Ugh. Typical. The man is weak and has given up because something bad happened to him. All that is fine but it's his actions with Elisa that make him trash. He offers her a place to stay, promising she'll be safe and then proceeds to take advantage of the situation. The first time he kisses her is without her consent and while he's holding her 3 year old. No concern for what Elisa wants or how confusing it would be for her daughter. He initiates her intimate encounter they have, but immediately after pushes her away. Once he gets what he wants (sex) he acts like she did something wrong and either says something rude or just ignores her until he wants sex again and repeats the process. It's supposed to be okay because he tells her he can't offer her anything which is good but if it's the case then just leave her alone and stop toying with her emotions. Later, she has a secret she tries to reveal to her but he cuts her off and tells her he knows everything he needs to. Only later he gets jealous and breaks things off because she hasn't told him the secret. Typical. Elisa and especially Daisy deserve so much better than Tuck. Inspite of him I was on pace to give 4 stars but the back third of this book goes off the rails. There is already a lot of drama because Tucker is such a tool, but the author adds in a hidden connection between the two characters that is unbelievable. The odds are just astronomical and it's unnecessary and absurd. Finally the big ending when Tucker finally gets it together is also out of left field and felt like it was written for a different book. It didn't ring true for either main character and completely left out Daisy. I really liked the 1st book in this series but this one was a bit of a disappointment.

Sometimes I forget how enjoyable a simple, uncomplicated love story can be...that boy meeting girl can be sweet and exciting all on its own, without all the trumped up drama that seems necessary. Which is exactly what I’ve Got You, Babe is.

Tucker Wylder is happy with his quiet life in Misty Bottom, Georgia. After losing three best friends during a tour in Afghanistan, he’s content to work at the classic car and motorcycle restoration garage he owns with his brother, and just wants to go home to his neat, orderly house at night to deal with his survivor’s guilt and PTSD alone.

Elisa Danvers and her precocious three-year-old daughter Daisy have had a run of bad luck and are just trying to catch a break when her run down car rolls into Misty Bottom. When Elisa lands in Tucker’s lap on the floor of his garage, she’s forced to accept the help Tuck offers after years of trying to hold things together all alone. Little did she know, he needs her just as much.

This really was a sweet story. Both Tucker and Elisa are managing life just fine, but get a glimpse of what life could be like with someone to lean on. They both have some issues to work through, though, before they can have a happy life together.

There was a lot to like about this book. The writing was good - the plot moved along at a quick pace and wasn’t dragged down by either of the main characters constantly lamenting over their woes. (I even think the author should have more thoroughly developed the hero’s lingering war issues - they almost seemed to be added as an afterthought, and I’ve previously felt that if you’re going to make those issues part of a character you should deal with them adequately and not just give them lip service; however, in this book I kind of appreciated that the author didn’t constantly dwell on the issues and instead let the story between the hero and heroine develop without it being a huge obstacle.) I also loved how the author threw in a plot twist - but didn’t hold “the big” secret over the reader's head or refer to it constantly.

As a fan of small town romances, I really liked how the side characters in the book weren’t overly eccentric or ridiculous. There was just the right amount of quirky to make things the kind of charming I like. Throw in a cute three year old and good dialog, and I really enjoyed this book!

This was my first Lynette Austin book, but I’ll definitely be interested in reading more - especially about the youngest Wylder brother. It’s always fun to see the one who resists a relationship the most fall so hard. I’ll be here, waiting for it!

Before I say anything else – that cover just captured my heart, my emotions immediately. You shouldn’t judge a book by the cover, but this one caught my eye and I needed to know what the story was behind the trust and love that I see between that little one and that man.

I’VE GOT YOU, BABE is the second title in the Must Love Babies series, although you won’t be the least bit lost if you haven’t read the first one I’d still suggest it for both stories are touching and worth your time.

Tucker returned from the military a changed man, events that happened there have left him with not only PTSD but survivor’s guilt as well. He thinks he’s hiding his sleepless nights from his family but they are not as clueless as he’d like to believe. Nightmares hound his attempts at sleep. He’s going through the motions of life right now, but one adorable little girl and her stubborn mother are about to change everything for him.

Elisa’s life has not turned out the way she expected but her determination to provide a better life for her daughter, Daisy, is her goal at this point. Her car breaking down before reaching the safety of her mother’s home was the final straw. When she faints at Tucker’s feet in many ways their combined fates were sealed. Together they will bring hope, peace, and love to each other – but it’s going to be a rocky road to get to that point.

There are emotional layers to I’VE GOT YOU, BABE that will draw you into the lives of Tucker, Elisa, and Daisy, along with the caring and, at times, quirky residents of Misty Bottoms, Georgia. I was captured by the reality of Tucker’s difficulties and Elisa’s ability to bring him a calm he’d not known for so long. Daisy steals scenes left and right – and hearts as well. If you enjoy those emotional connections to characters, a slice of life’s realities in a book then this one will appeal to you. I enjoyed every moment in this world and will be back for the next story.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Tucker Wylder owns Wylder Rides, a vintage car and motorcycle restoration business with his two brothers. They have five days to finish restoring a custom '63 Corvette for a Hollywood executive. Time to get the job done! Tucker is busy working, laying on the creeper partially under the Vette, when he hears a car approach and stop outside. It is too early for his brothers to start work so who can this be? Whoever it is needs a new car since what he hears is a dying car outside. Then he hears the sound of heels on the concrete floor and sees legs, the longest, sexiest legs which has him just about drooling. From there his gaze travels upward to view the "real deal," the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. As he starts to get up to question why this beauty is in his garage the woman, Elisa Danvers sways and starts falling. Tucker catches her just before she hits the floor. Now he has an unconscious woman on his hands and to add to the stress he hears a child crying in Elisa's car. What to do first? He makes the call to 911 to get an ambulance on the way. The child, three-year-old Daisy is crying for her Mommy. Tucker grits his teeth, what does he know about little girls, and drives little Daisy to the hospital. The cute little girl talks his ear off the whole way to the hospital and renames him "Tut." The wall around his heart starts to crack. What is he going to do with this cutest of little girls and her sick beautiful Mommy?

I've Got You, Babe by Lynnette Austin is the second book in her Must Love Babies series. This book features the oldest Wylder brother, ex-Marine Tucker Wylder. This is such a wonderful series and this second book continues the author's trip into the warm and friendly small town of Misty Bottoms, GA and the lives of the Wylder brothers. (This is also the setting for Austin's previous series, Magnolia Brides which I highly recommend.)

I can't say enough good things about this super story. The storyline is sweet, poignant and full of warmth. I smiled throughout as I read along (also with many chuckles and guffaws). There were tears too on the way to Elisa's and Tucker's HEA. Lynnette Austin's characters are real and relatable. I fell in love with Elisa, Tucker and little Daisy. Elisa is so strong and determined to make a go of it even as she is down on her luck. Tucker is the big, bad, tough ex-Marine on the outside but it turns out he is soft and squishy on the inside with a heart of gold even with his issues from a deadly incident during his tour in Afghanistan. Then there's Daisy, the cutest, endearingly rambunctious, most precious little three-year-old girl that will steal your heart in a New York minute. Readers will laugh at her parroting the swear words Tut keeps letting slip. She will surely have you wrapped around her little finger just like "Tut." I loved this story and readers who enjoy small town romance with lots of warmth and laughter will too!

4.5 Stars!

What a well-written novel from author Lynnette Austin. I've Got You Babe entices you right from the first chapter and the engaging plot never loses its momentum. The three primary characters, librarian Elisa Danvers, her three year old daughter Daisy, and former Marine Tucker Wylder, the co-owner of a vintage car restoration business, accidentally find their together forever. Their journey to become a family is replete with desire, trust and forgiveness. This is the second book from the author's Bachelors and Babies series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

After losing her job due to budget constraints, Elisa and Daisy are traveling north to her uncaring mother's non-lived-in condo. She is deeply in debt, hungry, and needs a place to live. Unfortunately, Elisa has no support system. Always putting her daughter's needs ahead of her own, she passes out immediately after seeking help from Tucker regarding her beater of a car. Although Tucker prefers his quiet and solitary life, while dealing with his demons from a deployment gone wrong, he feels compelled to give Elisa and Daisy a place to stay while Elisa recovers. Overtime, they form a family.

This is an intoxicating small town romance with a meaningful plot and well-defined characters. Ms. Austin is an excellent storyteller and her words kept me glued to edge of my seat. Daisy is beyond cute, and I could not help loving her character. Elisa and Tucker pack a lot of heat, even though their sexy times are primarily behind closed doors. If you enjoy a novel with a strong heroine and a man that truly defines the word hero, then check out this book. Overall, this is an exciting story that twists and turns in all the right places.

Yay! After waiting a long year, we finally get another story about a hot Wylder guy! After Brant got stuck with his baby nephew in Must Love Babies, his brother Tucker has a pretty woman falling at his feet. Literally... Elisa was trying to get to her mother's house, when her car broke down at Misty Bottoms. Fortunately, she is near a vintage car repair shop. But after entering the shop, she wakes up in an ambulance. Tucker calls for an ambulance, when the beautiful woman drops at his feet. But when he realizes her three year old daughter is still in the car, he forces himself to look after the girl, while they take her mother away.
As an ex-marine, still struggling with his past, he is not cut out to help a little girl or her mother. But unfortunately he really doesn't have much options. His southern mom would kill him if he didn't show a little hospitality. Elisa can't recall of someone taking care of her. But suddenly Tucker is there, a knight in shining armor. And although he is a neat-freak and Daisy will mess up his entire house, he offers her sanctuary and help. But Elisa doesn't want to be rescued or be someone's charity case. So they tentatively get to an agreement where Elisa will help Tucker with his past and he will open up his home for her. Can they do it? And when this is over, will they say goodbye? Find out for yourself in this endearing, funny and cosy read from Lynnette Austin! Five out of five stars from me and I'm looking forward to the third part, where hopefully the last Wylder brother will get his story! Thank you Netgalley for providing the arc.

This was a sweet and heartwarming tale. Of two lost souls. One haunted over lost friends, another by a disastrous marriage. By divine fate, Tucker Wylder and Elisa Danvers’s world will never be the same.

I didn’t know what to expect when I received a copy of, I’ve Got You, Babe, the 2nd installment in the Must Love Babies series, written by Lynnette Austin and published by Sourcebooks Casablanca. I expect this story will hit the right buttons with any reader who enjoys Contemporaries or just a feel-good story.

Elisa Danvers was a single mother, who was trying to raise her daughter, Daisy the best way she could. Even at the expense of her own health. One day she passed out, in the arms of Tucker Wylder, who had his own demons to concur.

Tucker wasn’t expecting when he woke up one day that he would have to be responsible for two strangers. He also wasn’t expecting to be able to feel again. But with Elisa and Daisy, he finally came to believe that it's okay to feel alive.

I most certainly enjoyed every last minute of reading I’ve Got You, Babe. The plotline was moving, and the characters will touch your heart. I know that Tucker and Elisa were supposed to be the stars of this novel. However, to me, Daisey stole the spotlight. I just loved this little girl. I especially loved the nickname for Tucker…Tut.

I’ve Got You, Babe, a heartwarming story that I give high marks, a story that you most certainly don’t want to miss.

I’ve Got You, Babe is a contemporary small town romance. Elisa, a single mom who is down on her luck, literally falls at Tucker’s feet. Tucker, a former Marine suffering from PTSD, catches her and can’t seem let her go. Add in a precious toddler named Daisy and the cutest town Misty Bottoms and you can’t help falling in love with this book.
The road for Tucker and Elisa isn’t smooth. They both have big issues to overcome-physically, mentally and spiritually. But the spark is there and neither can give up on the other despite these huge obstacles. They both realize they need to work on themselves and find their place, and both need to come to terms with accepting help. I liked seeing them grow individually and their relationship progress and deepen.
This story was a fast-paced, endearing, well written story about taking that second chance at life and love. This story resonates how it’s worth it to try to fight your demons and open your heart to another person. The characters were likable and relatable. Daisy is the cutest thing ever and I want a Desdemona! This story will definitely tug at your heartstrings.
This is the second installment in the Must Love Babies series. If can be read as a stand-alone as the author does a good job explaining the characters and backstory.
I requested an advanced copy of this title from #NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
