Ophelia is kidnapped and help against her will by Kain, who rapes, beats and tortures her. But with each new thing he does to her she falls a little more for him until she learns to like the things he does to her and she completely transforms into his *dolly*.
Kain is a sadistic bastard. He pissed me off on more than one occasion. I found it harder and harder to find any redeeming qualities about him. That is until we get a glimpse into what happened to him to make him the man he is today.
This is all about mobsters, their families and how they make connections with other families. Ophelia's family life growing up wasn't good and her father was a complete psycho who used his kids to make connections with other families by marrying them off to men they didn't love. Ophelia was supposed to marry Max but she was in love with his twin brother Ryker. But she is kidnapped and held by Kain who brainwashes her into feeling something for him and only him. So when she is rescued and given to Max years later and they are to be married, she finds that Max has changed and is even worst than Kain was.
Kain wasn't about to let Ophelia stay with Max and when he goes to her, she actually wants to go back with him because she loves him. Kain realizes that he loves her too so these two psychos actually become quite the couple. I thought that things would be better for her once Kain gets her back but there's a twist that really throws everyone for a loop. The mafia leaders in this story are cruel men even to their own children and when all that's been done to the kids comes out, it was one heck of a reveal. But with that reveal comes shocking revelations that they are all going to have to live with.
Kain and his *Dolly* finally seem to be happy but Kain really messes up and has to turn to Ryker for help to somehow reach Ophelia when she has a breakdown and completely shuts down. The only problem is that Ryker loves her, even the person she's become under Kain's special kind of brutality.
I won't tell you who she chooses to stay with in the end, Max, Ryker or Kain because that would give a lot away but I will say that given all the brutality these characters go through in this series, it does end with an HEA. The ending is a good one and even if I did have my doubts about this story, several times, I am glad that I read it because it ended up being a really good trilogy is a completely crazy way.
I was in the mood for something different and this seemed to fit the bill. When I saw that the trilogy box set was free on Amazon for a limited time I got it. This is a very dark romance, very dark. This trilogy was filled with mobsters, danger, kidnapping, brutal torture scenes, rape, beatings and graphic violence. If these things bother you, don't pick up this box set.

Well. That took a turn in a direction I didn’t see coming. Dark. Passionate. Tragic. Fanatical. Brutal. Loving. Violent. All of these words don’t even begin to describe what happens in this book. A lust fuelled, adrenaline driven, emotional roller-coaster ride of a story that begins to answer a few of the questions asked in Feather while sparking even more yet to be answered in the series. And Max. You beautiful broken boy. I am not happy with that particular plot twist.

This is a bloody, violent, and brutal world. And this is a dark, dark tale that goes places from which there may be no return. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “be careful what you wish for”. It backfires on Ophelia when Kain gives her exactly what she asks for and Ryker gives her what she needs, but are either of those really what she wanted?

I was happy with where the series left off after the end of the last book, so I had no idea what was coming with this one. If you love dark romance stories then you do not want to miss this one, Kain obtained dolly not by her own accord. However to say he is a bad character would be unfair. no matter what he is in love with Dolly and wants to protect and keep her. Dolly however is the same way with Kain This is their dark and twisted story Your going to be addicted and unable to out it down I am so glad it was a complete series Id have been so impatient waiting between books Fawn Baily writes some amazing dark and gritty stories Sont miss this one.

Ophelia is a mafia princess and her dad has plans for her to marry one of the Marino twins, however, it isn’t the once she has fallen for. As the time grows closer for the wedding Ophelia runs straight into danger. She wants to hate her new captor but she soon is falling for him. Will she ever be free and which man will she choose to belong to? Fast-paced dark read with loads of drama and intensity. The story really draws you in from beginning to end. I loved it!

I read each of these three books when they were first released individually. At the time, I left reviews on the individual books. What follows is my original review for each book.
Ensnarement: 5 stars
First off, this is a dark romance with potential triggers and violence. If that bothers you, you might want to pass. However, if you enjoy dark romance and mafia romance I would recommend reading this series. Book one picks up where the prequel left off. It also ends in a cliffhanger so beware of that before starting. The Gilded Cage series follows the Rose & Thorne series. It is not necessary to read the Rose & Thorne series to be able to follow this one, but I recommend you do anyway. One reason is that it was fantastic! Another reason is that there are some references to things and people from that series.
As mentioned above, this does have some violence, most of which is graphically described. There are twists and turns, along with new revelations throughout. It keeps you guessing as to who the true villian is/villians are and who Ophelia can really trust. Will it be Kain, Max, or Ryker who rescues Ophelia? Who does her heart really belong to? I definitely recommend reading this to find out. I can't wait to read book two.

I loved the Rose and Thorne series, which is a related series to Gilded Cage, and I loved book one here. Flight was a really good story but it didn't hold my attention like all the other books have. There were parts, when I was reading, where I didn't want to have to put it down. However, it wasn't the consistent feeling I’ve had with all this author's other book. Regardless, I still enjoyed the story very much.
Kane messed up and pushed Ophelia too far. Retreating to her own little world, Ophelia doesn't talk or respond in anyway to those around her. Is this it? Did Kane finally break Ophelia but beyond repair? I don't want spoilers so I'll let you find those answers for yourself. This is a dark read with some violent scenes. There was also a twist I didn't see coming.

I have been anxiously waiting for this final book in Ophelia and Kain's story. Let me tell ya, it was definitely well worth the wait! This book kept me on my toes and kept me turning the pages. There were secrets revealed and twists and turns. There was danger and suspense throughout. The passion between Ophelia and Kain was hot. This is a must read. It was so good! You do need to read the other two books in order first, but they are equally fantastic.

. I’m not an arc reviewer that just hands out five stars to keep the arcs coming, I actually read the books and give my honest opinion. Is it wrong to say I love Kain? This book is the opposite of predictable and as little nuggets of information get dropped, they drop like bombs. I’m almost afraid to read the next book because I like how this book ended, even though there’s a massive cliffhanger. I think I’m starting to figure things out but who knows where this series is going. It’s hot, fly by the seat of your pants reading. I am loving this series. Entanglement....I cheated, I read the end first...simply put I needed to know. I believe this is the darkest, most psychological book so far. A part of me wants to tell you what happens but I think a reader should go into this book and experience it the way I did. The book picks up a few months after the wedding. This book is violent, fast paced, introduces new characters and has one hell of a cliff hanger. I loved it. Enticement...Forty-eight hours ago I was stalking Fawn Bailey’s Amazon page trying to figure out how much longer I thought it would take Nightbird to be released. Imagine when the very next day I’m reading an arc of this book. From the violent beginning to Kain and Ophelia’s story throughout the series there’s a palpable desperation to this couple’s love story. Just when you get to the last paragraph of book two you are ready to release the breath you have been holding...and then you get to the last few words and you are once again thrust back into heart stopping anxiety...when does book three come out??????? Sliding my right index finger to page one on my kindle was both exciting and nerve wracking. This is not a pretty story....but it is everything else you could want in a book. I was almost tempted to read the last page first (I do that sometimes) but if any couple deserved a happy ending it’s Kain and Ophelia. But how they got there is like sitting in a car going through a scary fun house. I can’t recommend this this entire series enough...it electric, non conforming to light, puffy stupidity predictable romances that flood Amazon daily. The above is a compilation of my previous reviews of the 3 books that I had to purchase and wait for each of the books in this series to come out. New buyers can buy all three books in this series in one book, with no waiting. Buy it..you’ll love it.

Great series, now all in one book.
Mafia princess Ophelia Sokolov’s life changes when she meets twin brothers Ryker and Max Marino. I cannot praise this entire series enough: I absolutely loved, loved, LOVED it! Considering how Kain obtained Ophelia (Dolly), & what he did to her & her family you wouldn't think he could ever be a sympathetic character or the Hero or you'd be rooting for him & his Dolly to ultimately have a HEA, & yet the author (IMO) did all three hands down.
No matter what he does or how things go, Kain loves his Dolly, he wants to protect & care for her. And in the conclusion, he has a new & evil challenge to overcome in order to keep & save his precious beloved Dolly.
And Dolly tries, in her own way, to protect & save the man she has come to love with every molecule of her heart & soul, mind & body.

The author has written an exemplary story through the entire series, but sometimes a series conclusion can seem *less* than the build up, but again, not this time. I found myself 100% engaged throughout the entire series, terrified for Dolly, for Kain, for other important secondary characters & except for bathroom breaks & meals I powered through each book, ANXIOUS beyond belief to find out how everything ends & what resolution the characters obtain. I cannot state enough just how much I actively enjoyed this series & see myself rereading this trilogy multiple times.
I felt the plot & the characters both were *STELLAR*: They sucked me in then chewed my heart & emotions up in a grinder: I was completely enthralled, intrigued & INVESTED in Kain & his Dolly so FLIPPING MUCH it HURT! The writing itself had a smooth but gripping flow, was intense, exhilerating & had superb character development, tension, suspense & sizzling steam..
The series has violence, abuse, BDSM sex, as well as total power exchange.
If I was allowed to use only one word to review: AWESOME!!!

Ensnarement- This is a wonderful start to this series. It is a dark and twisted romance book that will take you on a ride. It picks off where Ophelia's family is murdered, and she is kidnapped by Kain on her eighteenth birthday. There are some twists and turns throughout this story that was shocking. You will find out who the real monster is, but it might not be who you think, or it could be exactly who you think. There is a side of Kain that only shows up when Ophelia is around, and it sometimes isn't always pretty. They have a dark and twisted relationship that grows over the five years of her captivity. It was nice seeing a quick cameo of Thorn and Rose (Harlow). I really liked this book. It has a great storyline, characters, suspense and a certain darkness that is fantastic.

This will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, but it is worth it. I don't want to give too much away, you just need to read this series. I highly recommend it. Loved that we get all the books in one set for some intense nonstop reading! You should definitely read Entrapment the prequel first to get Ophelia's full story.

I love this book. I love a good mafia read and this was definitely one of them. Who will save Ophelia, will it be Ryker, Max or Kain. Who is the true villain? This story had me hooked from the start and the twist wow, I didn’t see coming. I can’t wait to read more in this series. Another 5 Star read that everyone must one click.

I read each book in this series as soon as they came out, starting with Feather, the free prequel, all the way to the conclusion at the end of Nightbird, which was the third in the series. This series cant be read as a standalone, each book directly sets up the next. This story follows Ophelia and the two brothers she is stuck between. She was originally promised to Ryker when they were children. Through a long, tragic series of events, Max, who is Ryker's brother, claims Ophelia as his own. This is a mafia romance and is not full of flowers and chocolate. It is a seriously dark romance involving total power exchange and has some dub con scenes.

Prisoner of love & hate
Dark romance as used to describe this story, is like sunny could be used to describe a desert. It is dirty and evil. The men in this story are all twisted, none of them able to be a good man or moral. The women in the story are pure and are constantly taken advantage by the men in their lives.
Amazingly, the man who is most unredeemable, most likely to love, ends up the hero with help from the woman who loves him.
The story is wonderful, with exciting twists and turns. The reader is never sure who might be left at the end of the book. That is the four stars. The fifth star is lost because of a need for better editing, both typos and grammar. It didn’t drive me out of my mind though, so I’m hoping they find better proofreaders or editors, then I can give the five stars the story deserves. I’d proof read!

This edge of your seat, dark romance series is filled with intensity, young love, the mafia, an arranged marriage, brutality, and a dangerous man bent on vengeance. This beautifully written, twisted tale is complex and well developed. The gripping plot revolves around Ophelia, Kain, Ryker and Max. I found these characters to be complicated and multi-layered. As the story unfolds, there are shocking twists, painful, heartbreaking mistakes are made and plenty of damage is done. Every action or choice comes with ramifications that are huge and the effects are pain, drama, emotional turmoil and heartache. A series that is a temptingly dark, thrill ride of raw emotions and sizzling heat. Simply Stunning! I am posting an honest, voluntary review.

I volunteered to read an Advanced Reader Copy of this collection and to submit an honest interest.
The Marino and Sokolov families both had fathers tied to organized crimes. It's hard to say if the over-the-top viciousness of both Fathers had any outcome on the paths their children took as adults.
Kain, Max and Ryker were all domineering in their sexual experiences. Ophelia was primed from childhood up to be submissive.
The Gilded Cage Complete collection is a terrific read and look into the private lives of the characters. It's definitely a mature audience read. Personally, I think it would make a terrific movie.

I read this series when it was first released in separate instalments, so I was thrilled when I learned that it was now available in one magnificent boxset. This fabulously dark series took me on more than one voyage of discovery.. there were unexpected betrayals, evil truths, brutal realities and so much more..
I can’t remember ever reading a series before where up until almost the end I was so conflicted about the characters and their choice of partners .. I fell in and out of love with more than one but thankfully the ending, when it came, was perfect...
This was a beautifully crafted twisted love story, which kept me enthralled throughout.

Ophelia has been taken by Kain. This guy I'd one messed up bad guy but honestly, I've fallen in love with him! Now Max, I really hate this guy. I did feel bad for him because like Ophelia, he's suffered in the 5yrs they were apart, but I still think he's a 🤬 The ending of course had me yelling, "WHAT THE FUDGE NUGGETS!" Fawn's cliffhangers are like no other!

Kain broke his dolly!!!! These two truly love each other and they would do anything to make each other happy. Unfortunately now Kain needs Ryker's help. Michael is still one sick individual! Ginger...I like this girl so freaking much! There is a whole lot of action in this book and ANOTHER killer cliffhanger.

We finally get the much awaited ending and Fawn did not disappoint! Ophelia is stronger now and Kain actually doesn't punish her for that mouth. Two people we thought were dead come back and the evil is just horrible! But revenge was gotten and oh how sweet!!! Then that epilogue....😍😭

WOW. I don't like giving spoilers or book reports, especially when the book is so emotionally charged. There's just not a way to do it without giving something away. But rest assured, Fawn Bailey has taken this storyline with such an amazing plot that twists and turns then added characters with such vivid personalities it just absolutely had me holding my breath, flipping pages as quickly as possible to see what would happen next. This was incredible and I can't wait to read the next book. Congratulations on a well deserved 5 star review!

This is a wonderfully dark romance that is brilliantly written. I loved the fact that the whole series was here in one book and I could read through it without having to stop and wait for the next installment. The main female character is Ophelia and we follow her life and that of the men who want her for their own reasons which also dictates how they treat her. This is a captivating plot that took me through a slew of emotions. I really enjoyed reading this series, if this book is anything to go by I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the near future.

What did I just read, I’m twisted over by Ophelia and Kain’s relationship but then again the strength of their love is amazing all on it’s own.
On her eighteeth birthday Ophelia is there to celebrate but Kain has other plans for her. He destroy’s her family and keeps her captive. Fast forward a few years and we find that they are living as a happy couple. Life looks good but fate has other plans for them.
Loyalties from family and love are in question. This dark and twisted love is captivating and make you a mess. Bonds are made and strength from within comes to the light of day. This relationship is twisted and dark but so beautiful is their own special way.

I am more than half way through this box set, and couldn't wait to tell you how intense this box set is! Ms. Bailey has captured my brain synapses in her Gilded Cage! Oh my goodness the characters jump off the pages. I feel like I know them. There is so much in these pages. I want to get to the end, but I don't! I've been reading other books at the same time so I can savor this story! This will definitely be on my TBR x 2! Maybe even more. A very, very dark, mafia romance. I'm loving it! And, now finished...I absolutely will read again. Amazing!

This is a 4 book series about Ophelia, (Princess) and Max. Princess is the daughter of the Russian mafia boss and Max is the son of the Italian mafia boss. Their fathers have arranged their marriage and they have no say. This is to happen when Ophelia turns 19. There are many twists and turns that compel you to keep reading. Some parts I found myself a bit mixed as I found some parts read slow then took off so the flow was a bit out for me, but I still enjoyed it

The Gilded Cage series is a dark read that deals with some sensitive topics. The characters and story line will keep you turning pages and on the edge of your seat. Ophelia & Kane have a intense twisted and complex relationship that can only be filled by each other. They both have pasts that are full of betrayal by their families and revenge. You need to grab a copy and read for yourself you won't regret it. I can't wait for more books from this author.

How great that you can get this series as one boxed set!! This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you guessing...who's the bad guy, who's the good guy, who should Opheilia be with?? It is fast paced, twisted, scary, disturbing, and so, so, so intense.
