Re-released as "The Red Ribbon Girls".

There's a killer in her house but no one believes her.

Kate moves into the top floor of a rambling house on the coast hoping to start a new life. After a rough year, this move to the seaside town of Whitby is a fresh start, a chance to forget the past.

But Kate begins to feel that she’s being watched all the time, even within the walls of her new home. She hears footsteps in the attic and sees a car driving over the moors in the dead of night.

DI Danica Summers is leading an investigation into the Red Ribbon Killer, a man who leaves his female victims’ corpses encased in ice on the moors. He’s eluded the police for far too long and Dani needs to find him before another girl is found in the frozen ground.

When Kate and Dani meet, events unfold that put them both in danger.

And when Kate searches for evidence in her new house, she discovers that the building hides a chilling secret.

Atmospheric thriller

This is a great crime novel. It has such accurate descriptions of the area that you'll almost feel you've been there. The plot is exciting and will have you booked until the book is finished. So far, every book I've read by this author has been brilliantly written. This is no exception. I'd definitely recommend reading it

A nice, easy read.

I do enjoy a good crime/whodunit thriller and this didn't dissapoint. Its superbly easy to read, the plot isnt too complicated but not too transparent you realise the ending early.
My only critique would be the depth of the characters. Some seem to just be there to fill space on the page, and don't fit into the plot.
In summary, if you're looking for a way to while away a rainy afternoon, this is what you want.

Wrong assumptions

An easy, not too involved afternoon read that included a little bit of mystery and an awful lot of "cups of tea". The one point of interest you can take from this story is; making assumptions can lead to the wrong conclusion and that may lead to near dire consequences.

Disappointed

I think I would have enjoyed the book more had it not been for the repeated typing errors, words omitted, jumbled up, totally ruined the experience for me. Absolutely shocked that this was allowed, I know had it not been for this I would have found the book to be a thrilling narrative!

Run of the mill whodunit!

This was an easy and straight forward tale but, enjoyable all the same. The story was fast paced but all the characters lacked depth. On the whole, not a bad read on a rainy day.
