Rate this book
The moment Luke Hawthorn slid open the window to his bedroom and dropped into the alley behind his uncle’s building in Manhattan, the course of his life changed forever. He just didn’t know it yet. Six months earlier and 5,500 kilometers away, a new drug called Rave-N stole the life of a friend. Days later, his London home was consumed by a fire that also claimed his mother’s life. Then an uncle who he’d never known appeared at his mother’s funeral and offered Luke a home in New York City—in Hell’s Kitchen. But things are not what they seem in Hell’s Kitchen. As Luke’s friends start to disappear in London, he begins overhearing bits of strange conversation from his uncle—conversations that spur Luke into an action that spirals his world into an ever-widening hell that will consume friends and enemies alike …

An engrossing, atmospheric organized crime thriller that crackles with energy from the first page to the very last. Highly recommended. Luke Hawthorn’s world is crumbling around him. After his mother, an NCIS (National Criminal Intelligence Service) operative is killed in a mysterious house fire, he learns that she was investigating a new designer drug linked to the death of some 200 London club-goers. Among the victims: one of Luke’s closest friends. Check out the rest of the review at my BestThrillers.com

I think my wife found this writer and he sent her his book, it’s a fun read, not as deep as other books of its type but still enough action to keep you going and the story is enjoyable.
