My name is Dóta, and I saw the world consumed in chaos and shadow. My brother Grethor stalks the night, gorging himself with blood. Now I must be the light against the dark. But to save the kingdom, I must become a kin slayer, most hideous of all beasts.
Caught between worlds, I have no choice but to master the ways of magic and learn all that I am. The gods shall reveal secrets and a monster shall know fear. Soon I must give up all I love or see it perish.
The epic TOOTH AND BLADE series continues as Dóta faces her destiny and discovers her true heritage.

Julian Barr first fell in love with all things Greek and Roman in childhood, when he staged the epic tale of the Emperor Claudius using sock puppets. After his PhD in Classics, he did a brief stint as a schoolteacher, hated being called ‘sir,’ and dived into storytelling. Although he remains open to the possibilities of sock puppet theatre, historical fantasy is his passion. He has published scholarly research on Roman medicine and the gastronomic habits of Centaurs but prefers to think of himself as an itinerant bard. Ashes of Olympus: The Way Home is his debut novel.
I loved the continuation of Dotá’s story! Love and heartache and exciting battles as she wrestles with her past and future. Beautifully set in a Viking style fantasy world, Julian’s done his research and it shows.
