Reveals the common origins of the ancient Egyptian and Mayan civilizations.
Maurice Cotterell's background as a scientist, mathematician, and engineer helped him to decipher the code of the ancient Maya, revealing the mystery of their science and religion to an extent never before possible. Using the same techniques, the author turns his attention here to deciphering the secrets encoded within the tomb of Tutankhamun. His extensive research revealed that both the ancient Egyptians and the Maya possessed a sophisticated understanding of sun spot activity and other astronomical phenomena—facts recently confirmed by modern science. Knowledge of the connections between solar patterns and human destiny allowed the Egyptians and Maya to harness the energy generated by the sun to achieve spiritual enlightenment and soul growth. The link between reincarnation and solar energy encoded in the tombs of Tutankhamun and the Mayan Lord Pacal is a jealously guarded secret held by a select number of occult groups, including the higher orders of Freemasonry. The author unleashed a firestorm of controversy in Europe when he exposed much of the esoteric knowledge of the Freemasons, including one of the society's most carefully concealed incarnate gods like Lord Pacal and Tutankhamun have come to earth to help humans achieve spiritual enlightenment, soul growth, and individual realization as solar beings.
Maurice Cotterell (born 1952) is a British writer whose publications promote forms of alternative science and supposed ancient prophesies. He calls his writing style "adventure fact".
In this book the author sets out to prove the links between the Maya, the Egyptian culture and the secrets of the Knights Templar. His theories aim to connect the Mayan Lord Pacal and the Egyptian boy-king Tutankhamun through decoding artefacts, images, and monuments in terms of numbers and measurements. There are also many other links, too detailed to adequately describe in a review. This is a very simple overview of an incredibly complex theory. The book could have been divided into three extremely interesting examinations of three fascinating periods of history. However, the author has a theory which, unless one accepts the premise, renders the book unbelievable. This theory is: the world was visited by five `super gods' in the forms of Lord Krishna, Tutankhamun, Buddha, Jesus, and Lord Pacal. Unless one accepts the author's theory about these spiritual leaders being linked, and effectively being reincarnations of the one god, then the book does not have much meaning. While I enjoyed the fantastic level of research into the Egyptians, the Mayans, and the Knights Templar I cannot accept the author's theory and I felt that at times the obsession with achieving numerical links (especially the number 144 000) was contrived and even forced at times. However, the degree of research makes the book valuable to interested readers if only for separate investigations into the mysteries and achievements of two magnificent and advanced cultures. I simply cannot accept the quasi-religious angle and this has dimmed my enthusiasm for the contents.
Well it's interesting and still worth the read. Lots of recurrent numbers involved describing the "secret codes" of ancient Egypt/Maya which, a thousand years later, were decoded again in The Bible.
But there is no secret that the world doesn't know about already (at least in this book). And Tutankhamen didn't die of murder, thanks to the new technology. He actually suffered from many diseases as a product of incest. One particularly that might have led to his early demise was the complication from epilepsy. DNA also proved that he is indeed the son of Akhenaten.
I have been to a physical store of Libraccio bookshop in Bologna, Italy. On a shelf there were green mystery boxes 2€ each. I bought one just for the surprise. I was sure I would have unwrapped a total bullshit book. Guess which came out!

Didnt really reveal the secrets just revealed that they worshipped God and had hidden codes in the pyramids… lightly touched on reincarnation but so vague, just that it happens?
Excellent Book, Excellent Plates and graphics...Some tricky reading for me, anyways...Went right in to another of Mr. Cotterell's books. Seems the best approach for me is to read and reread the Appendixs first, study the plates and diagrams then read the text.
Really look forward to rereading his books, then I could say or comment with more clarity, I could comment more now but will refrain.
