There are three to four million Muslims living in North America, and that number continues to grow. Practically speaking, it is imperative that Christians know what Muslims believe, so as to better understand how to share the Gospel effectively.
David Goldmann offers that practical side in a reader-friendly, non-technical way, complete with a glossary of Islamic terms. Written with a heart for missions, Islam and the Bible will strengthen readers' confidence in sharing their faith, as well as build necessary bridges to Muslim friends and neighbors. Here is a helpful book on Islam, written by a man who knows what he is talking about! David has had a fruitful ministry among Muslims, with many opportunities to apply this knowledge. I promise you will benefit. ~ Dr. Erwin Lutzer, The Moody Church, Chicago.
For me this book gave me good introduction about the Christian faith and how the author view Islam and Muslims. However, the author made a big mistake when he viewed Islam as one faith system. Actually there are many different group of Muslims with huge differences in faith. The two major groups are (Sunna, and Shia). The author assumed Hadith book of Bukari is considered holy and true any all Muslim groups but in fact it’s not. Also Each group have huge differences in understanding the meaning of the Quran.
Great book that gives a lot of information on what the differences between Christianity and Islam is. It also provides suggestions about how to approach your Muslim friends and why it is important that they to need to here the good news of the one true god. I will definitely be keeping this book to read again!
This is a succint and clear revalation of the differences in Christianity and Islam. The first part of the book contrasts biblical teaching and teaching from the Quran and the Hadith. The last part of the book gives clear guidance to Christians to effectively evangalize Muslims. It is straightforward and written with respect and a true desire to share the love of Christ. It is a quick read.
