The Seventh Order has been taken out… Things seem calm. But Alison and her team know better. Trouble’s always coming for a Brownstone. Good thing she has an answer for them.
Brownstone Security’s reputation is spreading, which means more jobs for the growing team. But more money means more mayhem looking for them. Can the team dig deeper and pull out another win?
Between moving in with Mason, training, keeping an eye out for attacks from other Drow princesses, and running her business, Alison’s hands are full.
Not full enough to stop her from helping when Agent Latherby calls about an ‘off-the-books’ situation.
A dangerous magical is loose and on the run headed for the center of town. Brownstone Security has to catch him before he reaches the teeming city.
But Alison and her team aren’t the only ones on the case.
Can the team track the magical and stop him before he falls into the wrong hands?
Judith Berens is a figment of your imagination, made up of the fevered brainpower of Michael Anderle and Martha Carr, fueled by a lot of people helping them out - as well as all of you, The Fans. Great stories mixed with a lot of great readers equals more adventures to follow.
Another amazing story from Judith Berens and Martha Carr, this time with an expanded cast of characters. Will Alison and her friends have a chance against the Seventh Order cabal of dark wizards? You don't want to miss this exciting tale of Alison and her team. Well done indeed, Judith Berens.
An epic battle that was a long time coming. Great to see all of Allison and Izzies team get together for such a great victory. If you have to die when you are centuries old how great to do it with true honor and a complete sense of purpose. Death is not easy ever. The people left behind are the ones who suffer because we live with the unknown and loss. The words said were so true and really well said. Brownstone/ Berens effect is the best just not for the one against them. I did think that Izzie's parents should have been there. After all it was their daughter and their fight also Izzie's grandparents should have helped as well. No one asked me. If your own family can't be bothered what's the point in having them.
This book contains a wide variety of characters that are carefully connected to keep the reader involved and interested. Lots of action, of course, it is Allison Brownstone after all. The agency continues to grow, adding an unexpected member. The Drow influence is still on the table making me wonder if Alison has a Queenship in her future.
Martha has outdone herself! The final book in the arc brings fast-paced action, our favourite characters together, some twisty surprises, some sadness, hilarious retorts, and resolution. I was so caught up that time became irrelevant. I’m very happy to know that Alison’s story will continue, and look forward to the next book.
It was fun to see old friends and have action packed adventures with them. I love how James is slowly accepting Mason. And how the Mason character is deepening. Can't wait to read about the baby!!! Adventures with baby will be fun to read about (smiles deviously).
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The book is fast-paste, full of action and the characters are thoroughly enjoy a bowl. How could you go wrong with to brownstones in a book. I am glad that somethings in this series have finally been wrapped up, most enjoyable will be eagerly awaiting the next book.
No spoilers here! But this book ties up many loose ends that have been part of Alison's story forever. Let's just say that the Drow and Dark Families will think twice before getting on her bad side. Her friends and family are here to back her up, so it is nice to catch up with Izzie along with James and Shay. On to the next adventure!
Read the series start with Izzy and Alison at the school of necessary magic, and follow their journey as students and into the workforce using magic to help! The only problem with this book is it wasn’t long enough 😀
The whole series has been really well developed. I love running into a series later when there are multiple books out I was able to read all 8 in a row and that made it soo much better. Now I just have to wait for more!
Alison and Izzie and company are going after the 4 heads of the Seventh Order. They finally know where they will be together so they head out to end this. Read to see what happens!!
This final book, of this particular Arc in Alison's story, was explosively good!
Both Alison, and Izzie, have finally gathered the intel they needed, in order to take their fight directly to the Seventh Order: the Dark Wizards, and their families and servants, who are determined to rule the Earth, and everyone on it.
In order to beat them, the women bring together a team that is unbeatable, especially as Alison's Dad, James Brownstone, is one of them!
There was a definite surprise or two, within this story, and the whole thing kept me enthralled until the final page.
But, this isn't the end of Alison's story, as the ancient Drow, Myna, told Alison.
What happens next, I don't know, but if it's anything at all like this book, then it'll be an amazing read!
So, I'm very eager to go on to the next book, which is number nine in Alison's series but, according to my Oriceran reading list, the next book to read is actually pbook 19 of The Unbelievable Mr Brownstone': 'Road Trip: BBQ and Brawl'.
As it's James' story, I don't mind taking a break to read more, especially after all the news I learned about James and Shay, in THIS book, so I'll just finish this review, and get on with my reading! Lol
So, once I've read this next book, I'll catch you on the flip side, and let you know what I think about this next Brownstone book!
A fast paced action packed book. Allison, James, and Izzie all in one place. Yep it’s EPIC!
The Dark Families have been a pain in Allison’s butt since her school days and destroyed Izzie’s childhood and happy family life. It’s payback time and Allison proves once and for all that she is a Brownstone, with all of the mayhem and destruction that is entailed.
A great end to the Seventh Order Arc that leaves no doubt that messing with a Brownstone is not conducive to health and well being. Add in a Berens who has been kicked and hunted all her life and you have a recipe for some serious butt kicking.
The characters have been developing and expanding for multiple books and this is one of the best if not the best of the lot. I can’t wait to see what Martha and Michael do to take this group to the next level.
Still love Alison Brownstone, and her boyfriend Mason, and their friends Hana, Tahir and Alison's father. That man can definitely kick some ass. AND, finally, they got rid of the Seventh Order. AND there was sadness in this one with one of the beloved characters died.
No romance, and this series was written by a woman and not even a kiss was EVER shared? Unbelievable! The F-Bomb was used 28 times.
As for the narration: Truthfully, Kate Rudd could narrate every book I listen to and I would be happy.
This books finishes one storyline and wraps it all up in nice package. It brings back some characters I love from previous books and retires one who leaves as a hero in their finest hour. One character is redeemed or rather recruited. One is finally set free after "years " of being on the run. Hopefully this character has a chance at her own book in the future. And the series continues what more can I ask for.
Having (re)read and reviewed so many books in the last month or so I find it so hard to come up with an original way to describe how entertaining and worth part of my life it is to read these books time and again. I can only thank the authors from the bottom of my heart for making my days that much easier and better with their tales of adventure and good conquering evil.
This was such a great book because we got an expanded cast of characters, we get to see James Brownstone and Izzy too! I love Izzy and wish we had a series about her after school. -I wish Izzy's parents and Eireka and Mara were there because Alison's family were there. I hope they team up more in the series and we get more of a Brownstone/Berens effect. Am I the only one who loves how they call Izzy "Little Berens"
Alison, family and friends catch up with the Dark Wizards for a final reckoning. Will they prevail? I like the action, humor, and honor. It was cool to have James Brownstone kicking butt along with other old and new friends. Will Alison avoid entanglement in Drow politics, or does she have an unrecognized destiny? I look forward to the next book.
Allison, her team, Izzie, James, Lily and Myna are off to confront the core of the dark wizards who have been hunting Izzie for most of her life. This battle is beyond everything I was expecting! Epic seems too small a word! Absolutely fantastic battle scene!
Many thanks to the authors for a very entertaining series. The conclusion is epic and will keep you turning the pages. A fitting end to the series... or is it?
Loss is part of life Thank you for so eloquently and excitingly illustrating that. There only need to be 6 or 7 hundred more Alison books and I'll be satisfied.
Loved this story, Alison and Ozzie finally are able to solve a lot of their problems. Alison gets a glimpse of what her future will look like and the challenges.
This installment deals with the dark wizards, finally.Allison's dad shows up as a man of very few words.Myra is ready for the fight. Will they win...read it.I am on to the Authors next book
Readers will enjoy this if they're still reading to volume 8. Most of the side characters unite in this for a flashy last battle against the dark wizards. I'm curious what the next story arc will bring.
Probably the best book in this series so far . Allison and friends and family kick some evil butt. I couldn't put this book down. Thanks for a magical read .
Love these books. This one is all out action. First from a Drow princess and Alison and Izzie take on the seventh order. What a fight! Can't wait for more.
