A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors. And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder. *A laugh out loud standalone cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore* All books in the series can be read individually but are best enjoyed in order.
My name is Lottie Lemon, and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, aka dead pets, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owner’s impending doom.
The holidays are upon us, Christmas day is within reach and there are so many parties to cater. The very first one is on the ritzy side of town, and if the snobby socialites weren’t enough to make me squirm, stumbling upon a body takes the joy right out of the season. But I’m determined to find the killer and salvage what I can of this holiday fiasco. However, with the ghost of a reindeer who happens to have a hankering for whiskey, and a convict on the loose, it’s going to be tougher than it looks. To top it all off, I’m quickly burying myself in an avalanche of lies.
The snow is falling, the sugar cookies are baking and mistletoe abounds. The holidays have hit Honey Hollow. And it’s beginning to look a lot like murder.
Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see dead pets—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in the occasional ghost of the human variety, a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.
Living in the small town of Honey Hollow can be murder.

I'm a little crestfallen that these books have taken the turn they did. They were fantastic. I loved them. But they're getting so ridiculous, it's disappointing. Around book number 12 or 13 I started getting frustrated. I'm going to finish reading the series, but I'm very disappointed in the turn the books have taken.
This series just keeps getting better! I love love love Lottie and the Honey Hollow crew! This book does not skimp out on the twist and turns and funny predicaments Lottie always seems to find herself in. This book leaves us with a little bit of a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for Pancake Panic!

Yule Log Eulogy by Addison Moore is the 16th book in the Murder in the Mix series. This series is about Lottie Lemon. A baker with the abillity to see dead pets and when she sees them awful things are about to happen. I really like this series! As always Addison Moore's writing is amazing.

I enjoyed the mystery, did not enjoy the love story. You get to the point were you really don't like Lottie. I loved the ending, Noah mother finally says everything your thinking about Lottie.
Yule Log Eulogy, book 16 in Addison Moore's Murder in the Mix series, ups the ante with more suspects, more secrets, and even another unsolved murder in Honey Hollow, Vermont. Baker Lottie Lemon, whose sweet treats make her the caterer of choice for every HH special event, has just unloaded platters of cookies and forests of Yule log cakes (with the help of handsome admirers Noah Fox, a homicide detective, and Everett Baxter, a judge) when she trips over a body--Larson, the hostess of the Christmas party! She's lying in the same spot where her mother was killed years earlier in what quickly became a cold case. A reindeer named Rudolph (really!) shows up and not only refuses to tell Lottie who killed Larson but scarfs down spiced eggnog (a first; previous ghosts hadn't been able to eat or drink) and requests more liquor! Those ghosts are developing quirks Lottie doesn't like--Gemma the llama was incapable of keeping a secret, and Rudolph is borderline alcoholic. To make matters worse, Noah is recovering from his brain injury and Lottie can't hide behind "not wanting to cause a relapse" anymore; she'll have to tell him that their marriage was annulled and she read the result of Lainey's pregnancy test, so there's no marriage and no baby, and his dream-come-true of a family isn't real. The nastiest cherry on top of the icky sundae: Connie Canelli, who went to jail for a murder committed a few months (and books) ago, has escaped from prison and is hiding in HH. Naturally, Lottie finds her and her aunt Cat holing up at her birth mother Carlotta's place. Carlotta sees nothing wrong with harboring a fugitive from a notorious crime family, just as adoptive mom Miranda sees nothing wrong with going from a wonderful fireman (who took home newborn Lottie, left by her teen mom on the firehouse floor, and died a few years later) to a pervert, a controlling emotional abuser; a serial philanderer (who happens to be Lottie's birth father--eew!); a fake pastor who ran a scam to bilk older women out of their money; and now a too-tan man with too-white teeth who runs a swingers website. Miranda's writing smutty novels based on her romantic adventures, and Lottie is horrified. The baby secret expands when Noah takes Lottie to a doctor's appointment and the "mother-to-be" bribes her sister to provide a urine sample. She feels so guilty she excuses herself, and the doctor is fooled by Lainey's sample and Lottie's assumed nausea. Noah is thrilled, Lottie not so much. Meanwhile, Everett has received a threatening note, and a mystery man confirms Lottie's identity at the bakery, causing Lottie to panic. The judge says he's not afraid of the Canellis, but when he "faints" and his head shows signs of being hit by a blunt object, the panic rises again. Everett must stay with Lottie for his own safety, the way Noah stayed with her when she was getting threats. What a web of confusion! During a twisted "girls night" with Carlotta and the Canellis, Lottie breaks into the flower shop now owned by the murdered florist's daughter in search of orders for black roses, which someone said were sent to Larson's mother daily before her death. (Who said it? I don't know--there are too many rich families to track, and they don't interest me enough to care.) She finds the computer, recalls the password from when the florist died and her pet macaw saw her off, and sees the initials of the person who ordered the black roses. She confronts the "culprit", only to learn it was someone else with the same initials. She confronts *that* culprit--and you know the drill: Lottie tells them what they did; they say she's too good and needs to be silenced; she yells for help; Everett comes to the rescue; and the murderer of both Larson and her mother is taken away. The book ends on a bittersweet note. One of Everett's "Essex girls", who earned the right to call him by his first name by sleeping with him, claims he must marry by year-end or forfeit his inheritance. It's true, says Everett. He and Lottie plot to marry, then divorce once the minimum amount of time has passed. However, Noah's terrible mother (who wanted to unplug his life support) outs the pregnancy and the marriage to Noah as shams. She also forces Lottie to admit she married Everett a few days earlier. Everett says the worst thing possible: "I can explain!" Noah won't wait for an explanation and storms out. As Lottie watches Noah leave, she senses a presence behind her--her beloved father. He says he's not there to stay, though; he's there for someone else. Lottie thinks she's lost Noah and now must lose someone else close to her. This book further develops the nutty relationship among Lottie, Noah, and Everett and introduces many new characters who will leave the HH universe unmissed. I lost track of who committed which crime and who revealed what evidence in an interview, but I cared most about the solution to the crime(s), and in that, Addison Moore did not disappoint! Highly recommended.
I honestly have no idea how many more twists and turns Addison Moore can keep throwing at us when it comes to this series, I’m so invested in the story and the characters, that I just have no idea what to expect from Addison anymore. She has done such an incredible job at keeping me hooked with each book and I am glad that there is more to keep going. I am seriously in love with her work and I’m excited to see where Lottie ends up in the end. Addison has done another amazing job with this book and I honestly had no idea how things would progress, but she managed to pull out all the stop and keep the plot interesting and engaging. I’m really excited to see what happens next, I do love Noah and Essex, but seriously I want to punch Cormack and maybe a few others. I seriously hope that things work out in the end for Lottie because she is such a sweet character and I love her to pieces.
Lottie is working extra crazy hard than normal, as during the lead up to Christmas, things tend to get a little busy and hectic. Whilst she’s catering for all parties and events, she’s still trying to keep her secret of the fact her and Noah are no longer married and they aren’t having a child together… So you can imagine the stress she’s under. However, whilst it seems that life doesn’t want to give her a break, she ends up finding another body and landing herself into finding out who the killer is, but what makes this case so special is that it opens up a cold case from years prior. Will Lottie be able to get the truth and be able to keep her secret from Noah until the time is right or is everything set to fall apart, so far she’s been lucky, but maybe this time she won’t.
After reading this one I just do not think that poor old Lottie can catch a break. IF she is not tripping over dead bodies and trying to solve those cases as soon as she can then there are other things going on in her life that are beyond her control. Most of the time the things that are beyond her control are what is going on in her life. IF you have read the last book then you will know that things can go from bad to worse. It is proven in this book. While I love the plot twist and turns I wish in a way that poor Lottie could catch a break. Of course, if that happened then the book might not be half as interesting as it is.
I just love reading these books as Lottie and the gang feels like family and now that I am done with this book, I will be eagerly awaiting the next book to find out how things go from this book to the next. Such cliff hangers we have been getting.
You can read these books as stand alone, but I recommend that you read them from book one on up. I know as soon as I get o the last book, I will be starting over and reading them all one after the other as they are all just awesome.

Lottie Lemon sees ghost pets of murder victims before the murder occurs. This time it is a Yule log and whiskey-guzzling reindeer. Rudolph (as he's aptly named) appears at the Honey Hollow Jingle Ball. Lottie has brought all the desserts from her bakery, including lots of Yule logs. During the holiday ball, Lottie stumbles over the victim. There are lots of possible suspects. Rudolph is not a big help as he is more interested in drinking and eating the Yule logs whole. Yes, this ghost can eat and drink! As Lottie tries to solve the murder, her personal life is a mess. Noah is recovering from a coma and she and Everett are hiding several truths from him. Her friends and family also know the truth and are shielding him from finding out. The storyline has an unexpected twist, as well as an inevitable ending. I'm already looking forward to reading the next book in this great cozy mystery series.

Christmas day is within reach and there are so many parties to cater. Lottie has her hands full with all the parties that is going on this season. This one party will be one to remember with the socialites are up to know good and secrets are to be found out with Lottie, Noah an Everett on the trail of the murderer. Oof course Lottie stumbles on another body. Now secrets are not only with the socialites, but Lottie and Everett are keeping secrets themselves, and what will happen when Noah finds out. Reindeer comes out to help Lottie and the reindeer has a taste for whiskey, and with a convict on the loose what can happen? I just wish Cormack would get out of the picture she is so annoying, especially when she is trying to get between Noah and Lottie, I know that is not the whole cause of the problems with all three but just get rid of her. Love the author and her books.
Obviously, this book wasn’t my glass of eggnog, but it’s not a bad book. Moore’s writing style is pleasant and the book wasn’t easy to read. I was looking for a Christmas book and this certainly delivered on that score. My reasons for a three-star rating are strictly subjective. I found the pace frenetic and the soap opera subplots over the top. I didn’t find the book humo, although it was supposed to be. Finally, I didn’t like any of the characters likable except the resident ghosts at the B&B. Part of my problem with the book might have been that I picked up a book in the middle of the series instead of starting at the beginning, but I’m not going to read the earlier books to find out..
I love this series! I just don't know if poor Lottie can handle any more on her shoulders. She has Noah back and couldn't be happier about it but having to lie to him to keep him from relapsing proves to be exhausting! Everett has taken on a case against the very dangerous Canelis and Lottie is a nervous wreck over it. Then there is always the mandatory murder in Honey Hallow that she has to try and solve. Her powers are growing so her supernatural helper this time can actually eat and drink. Unfortunately for Lottie this one has a hankering for whiskey and yule logs.....I loved the book. There's a lot going on for Lottie and I can't wait to see where the next book takes her!
This book was fun, but I have to agree with several of the other reviewers who mentioned that it was difficult to keep track of who was who because of the vast size of the cast list. I was never able to outthink the plot, but that might have been partly because I had so much difficulty keeping track of all the characters. And I hate to admit it but, even though I've seen through crossover stories that take place in the future of this series and know how their romantic tangle is going to turn out, I kind of just want to get to the place where they've made the decision. However, the hijinks and shenanigans kept me laughing for the whole book and I look forward to reading more.
Oh my goodness what an outrageous, bloodcurdleing, shocking, ominous, heartbreaking, revelation of events to traverse for one inspired cozey murder mystery. A town so full of secrets , lies and evil .Addison Moore is a writer of high caliber that draws you into her mystery's with but a few well placed words leading one into and through intracat emotional intoxicating caracters cheering for some, despising others. Aquier "Yule Log Eulogy "so you yourself can enjoy reading it as much as I have. 😍🙄😜😯😒😔Kat
Lottie’s brain is too filled with lust between her two men. She misses easy clues until she finally opens her eyes. She marries one man and lusts after the other. She practically hops from one bed to another and claims both men as hers!!! These men are just as ridiculous who lets their woman sleep over at another man’s house? This is getting way too weird!! Seeing ghosts is the only sane thing about her and that’s saying something!! I like the other characters and the ghostly realm, the murder mysteries are also intriguing. I thought by now this farfected relationship would have run its course. To my dismay it hasn’t and I already purchased more books in this series. I hope the situation ends soon or I may eat my Cost and just move on to another series or author!
The series just keeps getting better and better. Every time I read one of these I think, 'Now I've seen it all', then I read the next book and I have to rethink that. The author is brilliant and her stories reflect the creativity that she has for story telling. Her characters are lifelike and loveable, entertaining. I can't get enough of Lottie and the whole Honey Hollow crew. Well done tot he author for another amazing story. I can't wait to see what comes next.
This whole series is to die for. Can be read as a stand alone, but these characters are just too good to miss a bit of their stories. Lottie Lemon, two very sexy men, delicious yule logs, a murder mystery, and a whiskey loving reindeer ghost... What's not to love? Add to that a shocking ending! Yule definitely love this book.
This book was amazing to read as it finally took my favorite people in the direction I wanted!!! However I never forseen the mixed emotions when the time finally came. Addison has a magical way of keeping readers on their toes, wanting more! This book has it all: murder, magical appeal and mayhem during the best holiday season!
Murder, mayhem, romance, comedy, inebriated reindeer....wait. What?!? Yep, Lottie Lemon's found another body and the spectre in this book likes to drink. To catch a killer this time around Lottie will need help from Noah, Everett, her family, friends, and even a few unexpected helpers. Just when you think everything is solved, a shocking ending will have you begging for more!
No spoilers here, I promise. I was looking forward to knowing who Lottie's heart belongs to, and watching them live their eerie, odd happily ever after while solving murders and trying to keep friends and family safe. But no! Classic Addison Moore. Hijinx and hilarity go hand in hand. A fun installment in the life of Lottie Lemon and her cast of surrounding characters.
This series is up and down for me. I love Lottie and Everett and Noah. The mysteries are pretty good overall, too. However, the secondary characters and/or their story lines sometimes drive me mad.
I really do like this series, but every so often one of the books just annoys me to the point that I find myself skim-reading parts just to get back to the main story. This entry is one of those. While the characters and their actions have annoyed me now and then, it has never been to the point they did in this story. This one did me in to the point that if the next one or two are similar, I will be back-burning (Fluking) this series -- and I'd hate that because I really enjoy the series overall.
I will put my rant into a spoiler tag so it story points are hidden if you're reading the series (or if you just don't care to read the rant at all). Note that it contains spoilers that affect not only this book (16), but a few may spoil events from books 14 and 15 -- Killer Cupcakes and Pumpkin Pie Parting, respectively -- because the continuing part of the story started there. The rant doesn't spoil the solution to the mystery(ies), just mentions some of the "personal" (cozy) story(ies).
Lottie seems to be acting out of character. I understand the reason, but it's annoying. Her bio-mom is a mess and, more so than usual, messes things up, throwing wrenches. She never professed to love Lottie, but really!
So angry that Lottie is more than a liar. So angry she put her needs above the careers of her two beaus. So angry Carlotta gets away with what she does -- far be it from Lottie to hold her bio-mom accountable. Right now, just SO ANGRY.
END RANT! :o)
This entry gets 2.5, rounded to three because I like Lottie and the mystery. What I can't stand is the outrageous, exaggerated secondary characters and/or story taking focus away from what's good about the series. I want to enjoy what I read rather than just try to get through it.
This book was not complimentary. I am reviewing it of my own free will because the book, or the experience of reading it, moved me to do so. All thoughts and opinions are my own, biased only by my experience(s).
I enjoyed the book and the premise but being new to the series I was overwhelmed by the amount of characters and kept getting confused as to who was who. I guess I’d tell anyone to start this series from the first book maybe that would help because the story gap at the beginning is never explained.
It's taken FOREVER, but it's finally happened someone came to his senses only because he's been scorned. The awkward three some is over. If it's not I'll never know this series has grated my nerves. Lottie is selfish just like her biological mother and a harlot like her adoptive mother (whom she keeps insisting is led astray by the numerous men she screws.)
This book has taken things to another level. Lottie has lied so much. That her web of deceitfulness may just cost her both Noah and Everette. Let hope Book 17 doesn’t take us through more lies and misconceptions with her feeling for Noah and Everette. Let’s hope she has learned her lesson and stays put.
Somehow Lottie, who started out as an abandoned infant on the floor of the fire station, has managed to become surrounded by an embarrassment of soulmates, siblings, mothers, fathers, in-laws and outlaws, in addition to an otherworldly menagerie of ghostly pets, visits from her dear departed loved ones, topped by a complex homicide of the month.
How I wish the killer was that new Cormack, Cressida. Hahaha ......I get what I want w Everett but its sad. Like not what it should be, even though its what I want. And total lost opportunity at the Dr with Lottie. Dr could have explained false positive. All this extra drama is uncalled for. Hoping I get the happiness I long for with Lemon and Essex
This addition to the series is packed with a lot of crazy happenings. The whole town of Honwy Hollow is bustling for the holiday's and the Bakery is at the center of it all. Not to mention the dead bodies out Baker seems to always be the own to stumble over inadvertently! Lol Hope you enjoy the read.
This Author keeps coming up with endings that are zingers. The murders are always who you least expect. Sometimes the simplicity of the murder is sheer genius. Other times the solution is very convoluted. Anyway the plot goes it is enjoyable.
Best series I've read in a while. Lottie don't have to look for trouble, it finds her, and she is only one of two people who can see them when they come. You must read this series, it's fun, romantic, and keeps you guessing who dun it!!
I really enjoyed this book! There were so many twist and turns. The book was both serious and funny. Each book in the series catches you up lightly on what happened before.
