Dear Readers,

The love stories in my family have always been fodder for romance novels.

My maternal grandmother and grandfather simultaneously ran a business together and raised four daughters, long before it was an accepted thing to do.  Grandpa O’Dell ran the gas station and the barber shop; Grandma O’Dell managed the grocery and cooked for customers.  They were true partners and madly in love and parted, tragically, way too soon when he succumbed to cancer when he was in his early fifties.  Grandma grieved deeply but eventually picked herself up, started a new career as a cafeteria chef, and eventually found deep romantic love and happiness again, in the form of a second marriage.

Nora was the run away bride. When she realized what her father and husband to be were doing, she grabbed her clothes, left a note, took her brand new car from her Daddy and took off as fast as she could. She jumped onto the highway and started speeding away until she decided on a place called Clover Creek, where she met Sam.

Sam is the local sheriff, he's been engaged before and the woman broke his heart. When he sees Nora in her wedding dress, he is instantly attracted to her. After a bit of confusion and one giant snow storm on her trail, Nora needs some down time. To go over the fact and get a better understanding of what she wants and desires from life.

After having her father interfere and manipulate her into a position she didn't even want to be in, she just knows one thing. She does not want another overbearing man in her life, yet she is crazily attracted to Sam. After the snow storm is over, will she be able to forgive her father for his interference and Sam for his major betrayal? I guess you'll just have to read it to see!

I liked this book. I liked the in love more than in lust point of view. Sometimes that's not very common I like the fact that they were more into the love angle than the lust angle. I would have wanted that for myself if I'd had more confidence in my high school years. I liked the 'facing problems head on' thinking and no regrets that are shown and would like to be more like that too. I would read this book again, but more for passing the time than searching it out.
