I write a lot. And when I say a lot, I mean a LOT. :) I'm the author of sci-fi hits A Door Never Dreamed of and the Eaters of the Light trilogy. I wrote the dark fiction Tyrants of the Dead trilogy, penned Hollow Empire, a six-part medieval opera, and recently finished The Hecatomb, a horror novella. And I'm the creator of the Coffee Table Philosophy series, spanning twelve books and more than 1,100 party-ready philosophy questions.
I live in North GA, where the summers are blistering hot and winters really don't exist. I love the rain, good red wine, and I truly adore painting.

The titular 444 questions within the book are meant to be discussed in a group. The book starts with 101 general questions, then has 101 questions for men, followed by 101 questions for women, another section with 101 questions, and a final section with 40 questions.
Most of the questions in the men only/women only sections did not need to be broken down by gender. In fact, some of the men's questions are repeated as women's questions. The questions are generally all thought provoking, though of various levels. Some questions can be answered fairly easily; others will require more thought and nuance. This could be an interesting book to have around if you are looking for conversation starters or really looking to get to know a group of people better.
As a coffee table book, it was initially not what I expected. However, it turned out to be a great read. The philosophical aspect leaves much to ponder, as it asks the reader much to think about. By the end, I feel as though I'll be reading again to see how my thoughts have changed over time and sharing with others. I won't give any examples of questions so the new reader will be surprised. I do recommend this book for any looking for ideas of self reflection, evolution of thought and enhancement of consciousness.
This was a fun read. Some of the questions were more introspective than others, but they were generally worthwhile.
I had the Kindle version, and this really requires a physical book. It's the sort of book that you pass around, open to random pages, and use the prompts as conversation starters for the group. That's much more difficult on a smartphone or Kindle.
