Rate this book
The only thing standing in the way of one perfect life is her torturous past.

Invited to speak for the United Nations, International Attorney Ashe Marcille is on the fast track. However, everything changes when she finds her law partner dead. Left with no option but to abandon her hard-earned career, she goes on the run.

Walker Knight, owner of a high-tech security firm, left the spy games years ago. A former agent for J8, he had no intention of returning to that life until the agency calls in one last favor. It should have been an easy job—pick up then drop off a lawyer with no questions asked. But, best laid plans…

Attracted to the attorney from the minute he laid eyes on her, Walker sets out to solve her case. Until he can figure out who wants her dead, he’ll have to keep her close…very close.

When Ashe Marcille's life goes sideways and she's forced to run, she never imagined it would be into the arms of Walker Knight, spy turned security firm owner. Walker reluctantly agrees to one more mission but has no idea that one more job would involve attraction and an undeniable desire to keep his charge safe. He even goes so far as to taking it upon himself to look into who's after her and why.

Kill Shot is a strong story filled with realism, passion, and action. The book also features crazy (in a good way) amounts of heat and attraction. I absolutely loved the interactions between Ashe and Walker. I was engaged in the book from the very beginning. I sat on the edge of my seat while Walker and Ashe traversed the dangerous climate the author expertly crafted.

If you like a good spy story with red-hot passion and romance (accenting the book, not detracting from it), I recommend Kill Shot. The author's writing style is smooth and conversational, the story is interesting, and I enjoyed the entire book. I look forward to reading more by this author.

I was given a copy of this book to read.

Two people with secret pasts come together over a spilt coffee. Little did they realize how hot and steamy their relationship would become. Nor how close they'd come to being burned.

This story has passion, suspense, deceit, action, and adventure that takes you on a crazy journey. You'll be introduced to characters who are sweet, snarky, smart, and sexy who are willing to lay their lives on the line to protect those closest to them. Get ready to get glammed up for the gala, dressed down for the beach, and completely undressed in places you wouldn't expect.

Amber Malloy is a new to me author so I didn't know what to expect going in, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Her writing style flows smoothly allowing the reader to become submersed in the story instead of feeling like an outsider looking in. I will definitely be looking for more stories by her and would suggest you check her out as well.

Walker Knight used to be a spy but he gave that all up and opened up his own business a security firm. Now the agency has called him in to do one more job for them. A lady lawyer needs protection as someone is trying to kill her. Walker is reluctant to take the case as he did give up the spy business but as a favor for the agency he agrees to do this one last job. But after meeting the lady Walker is attracted to her and wants to keep her safe. Walker sets out to find out who wants her dead.

Kill Shot is full of actions and suspense that will keep you glued to the pages wanting to know where our characters are going to take us next and who is trying to kill Ashe. Both of our characters have a few secrets tucked away in their past. Will those secrets show their little heads in the near future?

Join Walker and Ashe on their journey of trying to stay alive in the spy world. I would recommend Kill Shot to anyone who likes a good spy story with some great characters that will take you on a crazy and wild ride.

Very gritty story with a lot of interconnections between Ashe and Walker. Their heat and attraction to each other was intense at times. I loved how Walker accepted the feelings quickly and helped Ashe with her past issues despite the secrets. Ashe was a strong survivor. I enjoyed turning the pages, waiting to see what twist came next, and I recommend this story.

I received a copy of this story through Goddess Fish Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

Nice fun read

It would have been nice to know what Walker looks like besides Wolverine. Same thing for Ashe. where did Ashe’s family originally come from? Some more dialogue between Eden and Ashe would have been nice considering she supposedly raised her. It also didn’t make much sense why 17 years had to have passed for all of this to come to a head. J8 being who they are why didn’t they just kill Snell whether or not he had diplomatic immunity? Anyway I’m now looking forward to reading the story of Lola and Connor.
