Maladias has come. New York is defenseless. The Mages have fallen…

With the evil entity Maladias preparing to invade New York, Aspen Rivest—one of the last surviving Mages of the Council—is running out of options to stop him. She needs allies. Fast.

But gathering enough strength to oppose Maladias means calling on help from the remaining Supernaturals of New York—Supes that have become enemies of the Mages. Supes who hate each another almost as much as they hate Aspen…

Underground armies, lost apprentices, last-ditch efforts, it all leads to this. Unite or die. Sacrifice, or everything is lost. When the final battle comes, Aspen must discover just how much she’s willing to sacrifice in order to win. If she doesn’t, her world—and everyone she loves—will be consumed by darkness.

All things come to a close in Mage’s End, the third and final book in the thrilling young adult urban fantasy trilogy. Full of magic, shifters, vampires, breathtaking twists, and romance, these are urban fantasies you won’t want to put down!

Maladias was coming and Tana came back to warn her friends in New York though she barely made it back from Prague alive. After entering through Edinburgh, he had gone on to wipe out many of the mage councils in Europe and was now on his way to New York the last stronghold of the world's magic still standing. Aspen knew that they would everyone to help take him down but unfortunately the long rooted prejudices against one another and the loss of faith in the Mages who ran the boroughs drew the Supes apart instead of together. Many believed the Mages Council was to blame for the trouble they were facing since Maladias had been aided by Xavier and now took over his body and vowed that they would no longer abide by council rules. They wanted a coalition however their hatred for one another ran too deep for them to work together and this is what Maladias found when he finally arrived. Aspen did her best to rally the supes behind Lucien, Nina, her and Isak but the war was on and many lost their lives before realising that only through unity could they overcome a menace as evil as Maladias! This has been a real fun series to read, action packed all the way, with great magical characters, lots of tender moments, a bit of romance and so much more leading to this final book gave us an ending which went beyond all expectations in the massive fight of good against evil. Thank you Sean Fletcher.

This is book three in the Mage’s of New York series and brings matters to a conclusion sadly for the young Mages Aspen and Isak. Aspen’s mentor Lucien is looking depleted of both strength and resolve. The return of Maladias, even not at full power, in the body of Mage Xavier (Isak’s mentor) has led to the destruction of most of the Mage’s Councils throughout Europe and lots of the apprentices based at each site. Now only New York is left standing, but most of the Mage’s are dead or powerless. All of the regions separate supernatural beings are fed up and continue to fight amongst their groups over previous fought for land and superiority. They haven’t liked how the Mages have ruled over each district and now they have no plans of assisting them to overcome Maladias, taking the short view that anything is better than the Mages. If they leave Maladias alone, they think he will leave them alone as well.

Aspen needs allies and can’t overcome Maladias on her own, without a truck load of help. If the other supernatural beings don’t unite and forget their own petty turf wars, then all will be lost. Aspen hears of a stone army, long thought a myth, but apparently a reality. She needs to find them and get them to help her fight. Isak is confused by the sight of Xavier and still believes in his mentor and what he was trying to do. He can’t see the evil that has become Xavier and finds it hard to comprehend what Xavier did and what he really wants. Maladias will rule the world, destroying all non-magical beings and become the ultimate ruler of the world! If Aspen, Isak, Lucien and their friends can’t work together and some may possibly have to make the ultimate sacrifice, otherwise darkness will descend.

A great battle will take place and who will eventually win is anyone’s guess. This is a fantastic ending to the series and I am sad to see it end. The characters have been an interesting assortment of good and evil; odd and unusual; those from a poor background trying to survive on the streets and those from a position of power. All sorts of different supernatural beings from trolls to vampires and many more in-between. I loved all the separate districts to supposedly contain each type of being and the Mage’s in charge of them. Each of the beings is well described and you can imagine yourself immersed in the life of the main characters. There is violence in the battles leading to the finale, where the characters fight in their final battle against evil and darkness of body and soul.

I have loved the whole series and wish there were more stories to come …… Each of the three books in the series have been great reads, drawing you into the storyline, bit by bit, until you are engrossed and can’t wait for more! I will miss seeing what the young Mages will do with their lives and what they may become in the future. I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book from the author and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Mage's End - a review by Rosemary Kenny

I love the way Aspen, Lucien (her mentor, a Mage), Isak and the other members of the New York Convocation unite with Kaylee Richards, Eve and June, (all dragon-kin), Liam (a wyvern) and Kaylee's wizard husband Edwin, towards the end of Mage's End, against Maladias, (an evil Voldemort-like enemy), who is now using the body of Isak's former mentor, Xavier not only on Earth, but also the astral plane, in Sean Fletcher's fantastic conclusion to the Mages of New York
Trilogy. Many questions arise as the non-stop action, constant danger and threats from all sides sees Aspen lead an army of magical beings assembled using the power of Convocations from other countries into the final battle, that will shock, excite and amaze you.

How does Aspen access the Stone Army? What happens when they go to fight Maladias' evil forces?
Who is Abram? Will he help Aspen and the others - or fight against them?
When does the fight move to the Astral Plane? Who helps Aspen and Isak to get there?
What must happen for this person to help them?

Mage's End by Sean Fletcher is a 5-star winner that's sure to fly off the shelves - get your copy today and then why not enjoy the first two books in the Mages of New York series and mount your friendly space dragon, for a magical experience that will take your breath away!

Sean Fletcher’s Mages of New York series has been a fun romp. I had a ball with the first two books in the series, Magen’s Apprentice and Mage’s Trial (each separately reviewed) and now, in the series confusion, Mage's End (Book 3), it all come to a head. Unite or die. It’s that simple. The Supernaturals and Mages of New York May hate each other, but the coming invasion by (big, bad and definitely evil) Maladias will be much worse if unchecked. Aspen Rivest has tough odds to face, and there will be major sacrifices to be made, but I’d not count this Mage out. Instead I’d count on having a totally fun read from a really well written book. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book (and its series) definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. My only caveat is that while you can kinda sorta read this book by itself, it’s really best to start with books 1 and 2 first.

ONE DELIGHTFULLY SCRUMPTIOUS RIDE!!!
Crap on toast! Sean rocks this baby from the start. One tumultuous wild ride with a surplus of unexpected misfortune and surprising incidents that blasts all of your emotions bursting into play perfectly. One delectable storyline and compelling plot jolts this baby together uniquely. All the drama, angst, danger and suspense make for one incredible experience. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps and bruises bring this baby together smoothly. One non-stop action packed, fast paced, page flipping delight that grabs your attention and holds it until the last page. The characters and scenes are written in true to life form that brings this little guy bursting to life delightfully. Amazing job Sean, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

Mage's End is Book 3 in The Mages of New York series. This is the final book in this series. It ties everything up. The supernaturals and mages must work together even thought the dislike each other if the are going to be able to defeat Maladias The Evil (my name for him). All great tales must have great evil to prevail over. This is an action-packed, fast-paced, page-turning thrill ride with lots of twists/turns and ups and downs. This is a fantastic series that I love and will be reading again and again in the future. It is a well-written series with wonderful character development that I highly recommend. (Be sure to read the books in order for the best experience.) Received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.

My first thought after finishing this book was (just) wow. Followed by: say what? Is this the end? Am I supposed to say goodbye now? But seriously, this book was one epic rollercoaster of adventures and emotions. I think it was the deserving ending to this trilogy, and to the fun ride that's been Aspen, Isak, Lucien, Nina, and Tana so far. It was great following them on their final quest, and eventual battle, towards stopping Maladias. The descriptions, side characters, and pace were just as great as what Mr. Fletcher has gotten us used to, if not better, and I think this book may as well have been the first in a while to make me shake my phone out of frustration with the characters or situations. ~4.5 stars

The crap definitely hits the fan in this one now that the Big Bad has made it onto Earth’s plane, and the magical community it too busy either fighting amongst themselves or hiding to ride out the storm. But there is no riding it out. They either put their differences aside and work together, or let the world fall down around them. I really enjoyed the ending to this series, and the twists and turns it took. I look forward to reading the spin-off series next.

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. (Audible Membership)

The big bad Mystic is coming to New York, and those in the know are getting ready for a showdown.
Unfortunately, as been the case up to now, the various members of the various boroughs are not overly keen to lend a hand to save their city.
I won't give the show away, but it is a gigantic struggle, where many are lost and some have found themselves.
It's a great yarn and an excellent ending.

Loved, loved, loved this ending. Malaidas is headed to NY, and everyone has to work together if they have any hope of beating him and saving their city. But not everyone likes that plan. This story ended with a bang, and the battle for NY was just as crazy as expected. If you haven’t read this series, do it now!

A perfect ending to this series. The battles were epic and gripping. There were definitely twists I didn't see coming. I continued to be engrossed in the characters and their plight. Lucien being my favorite!! Great ending to a great series. My only problem? I could have continued to read much more of these characters....sad it's over.

Maybe another one?

That was intense. So much happened. Lots of destruction but a lot of healing in the end too. We lost a little and gained a little. But ended on a HEA with room to continue if the author chooses. Very good

We have suspense and more. Can Aspen and her. Friends save New York. How many will die because of Maladias? Why does he want to destroy everything? Will the supernatural help or hide? I received a free copy for my honest review.
