Lost boy was echt ontzettend goed.
I love the character Peter Pan in General. So many good books, movies, series about the character. My number one favorite character of the stories that I read when I was a little kid.
In almost every book, movie or serie that I have read/watched with Peter Pan in it, had Peter Pan as the good guy.
A good serie that I have watched called 'Once Upon a Time' has also the character Peter Pan in it. Here he was the bad guy but still a great character.
So why not read this book about Peter Pan, because I just love the character...
WELL THAT CHANGED!!
I hate Peter Pan after reading this book. I could never forgive him to what he has done.

There are 19 chapters. It was hard for me to read the first 14 chapters. The last 5 chapters were better because it gave me a really strong hate feeling.
The story is nice but it could have been written a little different.
---
Do I recommend this book? Yes, but.... Try to get through the first 14 chapters. Because the last 5 chapters and the feeling that you get about Peter Pan is worth it. Not many books can make you hate a person so much, but this book can.

Lost Boy is a standalone. In other words this book is not part of a serie.
I only read Lost Boy, but it was amazing. I loved the characters and this sinister twist on a fairytale story.
Only thing is, the ending left a couple of questions. Spoiler!!!!! How was Peter able to bring more children to island later if the portal was destroyed? Will Nod and Charlie grow old and die, since they were not cursed like Jamie? Why does Peter let some kids go back to the other world in the end?
This story was dark and sinister in all the right ways. Absolutely loved this twist.
I always though Peter Pan was the bad guy in this fairy tale and he sure was in this re telling.
This follows a boy named Jamie. He was the first of the lost boys Peter brought to the island. Jamie was the strongest of the boys but seemed to the one who was the protector of them all especially the youngest of them all which was Charlie. Charlie was too small for this land but wasn't able to leave so Jamie had to watch over him which Peter didnt like and every opportunity he had was to try and get rid of Charlie.
The story kind of follows the same kind of plot. Peter with his lost boys playing and having fun raiding the pirates but this kind of give you a bit of back story of him going to the other place where he got new boys as this story shows the side side of alot of the boys died of either sickness or being killed.
Later on in the story we was introduced to Sal but when they got injured found out this was Sally a girl which girls are not allowed on this island but took a shining to Jamie and they incoluding Nod took really good care of each other and Charlie.
Peter was protrayed in this book as being very childish which he was and very selfish and did things to suit himself and all he really cared about was himself and not being along and of course obsessed with Jamie however when the boys really started to see Peter for what he really was the magic of the island dispeared and they started to grow up .
This book was rather sad. Lots of deaths and the ending got me but i did like Chrisina took a spin on Jamie now becoming the Pirate captain Hook! I thought that was clever.
Read lost boy and absolutely loved it. Suspense and gore, while following the relationship between the 'boys'. Also have read The Mermaid, also enjoyable however not as good in my opinion. Haven't gotten around to the other two but it is on my to do list
A re-telling of a classic that I love but not quite sure this genre is up my alley. Quite dark though which I liked and some interesting characterisations.
