Mia, the mouse, dreamily bumbles about 'misty wood', trying to remember what her errand was. She meets lots of other magical creatures on the way, and we get a peek inside the charming world she lives in. Short read good for young kids, or teenagers who read like 6 year olds (outing myself here)
Mia is the most likeable main character in this series so far! Everyone else is insufferable. 🙄🙄🙄
Cute book for my magical whimsical fairy loving daughter. I specifically love all the nature vocabulary… my daughter learned a lot about different types of flowers and woodland things…
In this installment of the magical series about the denizens of Misty Wood, Mia the Mouse is distracted by her storytelling and cannot remember what her mother asked her to bring home. As she flits from place to place, all she can remember is that it starts with the letter b. But what in the world could it be? As she and Buzby, a friendly bumblebee try to sort out what she needs, they find a birch tree, blackberries, a basket, and even bark, but not the bluebells her mother sent her to bring back home. Anyone who's ever been busy or distracted will relate to Mia's dilemma. Like all of the other titles in this series, this one is a great read aloud filled with magic, sweetness, and light.
This book didn't hold my daughter's attention as well as the Elsa & Anna books of a similar level we've been reading. The writing felt dumbed down to me and not as interesting for me to read or to keep me invested either.
