A laugh-out-loud cozy paranormal romance. Alexandra Winther has always rebelled. Against what? Everything. Discovering she was a witch didn’t change that. Neither will that walking stick-in-the-mud officer Dean Taylor. She likes a hot cop as much as the next gal, but the man takes penal code to a whole new level. Seriously, break a few traffic laws and suddenly she is Whisper Grove’s most wanted criminal? What was worse, her power is on the fritz, her ornery cat familiar has taken a sabbatical with his stuffed bunny—again, and she has no one to help her solve the mystery of who was trying to kill her family. No one except that damn Dean.

Oh man!! I’m starting to think the Winther sisters are prone to danger and disaster.

In this story, we get to know the second oldest sister, Alex. We also get to see more of Elle and learn about what happened at the school with Mallory.

As the sisters are learning more about their powers, they are learning more about the world they’d just been thrust into.

No lulls in this story, you’ll find yourself on edge wanting, needing to find out what happens next.

Can’t wait for the next book so we can delve into Elle!

Each book does not feel like a single entity. They feel like episodes in one story. It is frustrating. The first two books follow Evie. Then book three shifts to Alex and it feels like only minute progress is made on the story and then it abruptly ends. I feel like each piece is so short that each piece is way overpriced. I'm actually getting angry about it.

Good series

I have tried of most cozy witch tales but. This has been quite good. The characters are well developed the story is humorous with a nice bit of an edge. Not great literature but a fun read.

Witch face

Okay. I’m hooked! I love this series! Just enough paranormal with mystery and romance thrown in. This family is close to real life as far as interaction goes!

Adult content, reader discretion advised. Alex is having to grow up after losing her parents. Helping her sister, Evangeline the twitchy witch, take care of her two younger witchy sisters. It doesn't hurt to meet Dean, the local not Sheriff Deputy.
