Who would think that a book on starting a nonprofit would keep me awake on a five hour plane trip? This one did. The author outlined the steps I need to take to start my nonprofit, so that I got excited with the vision and felt that I can actually accomplish the tasks ahead of me!

I desire to honor my Marine son who died of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)while on a training run, by starting a nonprofit with the mission of screening for, educating and hopefully preventing Sudden Cardiac Arrest in the military.

So I've reviewed several books in order to provide a recommendation to clients for a book if they want a lot of great background info starting a nonprofit. This is the best of the lot and is what I will recommend.

The problem with reading books like this online is that you might not have control over what edition you read. I read an older edition on Libby app which was handy, but the links were so old they were broken. I get in a print book this is hard to fix, but online? I did find most of the info in it relevant, though. Led me to purchase the most current edition. This is a pretty thorough but easy to follow guide on starting and running a nonprofit organization. A winner if you're wanting the fast-track know-how to get started properly.
