Being different is hard enough but being a genetically engineered hybrid who has no idea of your origin takes peculiar to another level.

Created as the ultimate weapon, Nicolette Winspere is a timid African American woman caught in the middle of a deadly war between humans and mythological creatures. The humans want her to destroy their natural enemies the vampires and werewolves while her "father" wants to use her to avenge an over two millennia-year old slight. With the assistance of a werewolf detective, who was hired to capture her, Nicolette will discover the depths of her being but it is a risk that could either kill her or make her stronger.

Saugia Smiley is an African Caribbean author. She was born and raised in St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica. Saugia moved to the United States during her teen years and for 6 years called Boston, MA home until putting down roots in Houston, TX. She is an avid traveler who worked for a major airline for years before dedicating herself solely to writing. Her writings are loosely based on her childhood, life experiences, and vivid imagination. Saugia is driven by a passion to see more publications that feature dark skinned people in leading roles. Her life’s motto is, "just because it has never been done before does not mean it should not be done."

After a year of battling depression, Saugia is back with a new lease on life and the desire to help those suffering from the same lifelong disease. She is now active on YouTube Writing Through Your Depression and has a blog, on her website www.darkskinwriter.com, which documents her journey and what she is doing to combat her depression through writing.

DNF EDITING

Good idea, execution needs work. I could not finish due to distracting lack of editing. There needs to either be breaks when POV change, or the Author needs to add details that notifyythe reader of the change. When a character speaks, the reader needs to know who is speaking, and quotation marks need to be at the beginning, at each break, and at the end of their spoken words.

Outside of that, heroine needs a bit or emotional consistency, unless she has ADHD in addition to her genetic inheritance.

Please get some beta readers or help with editing and republish.
