Jade finally has her fire back . . . but with a twist. The long-awaited finale to the Reclaiming the Fire series!
The flame that burns is dark, not bright, and it signals that she is now bound to the Shadow. Somehow she must throw off this binding or she will become a servant of evil. But how can she when the Golden Sword of Akulos has been weakened and can no longer restore her?
Other servants of evil, meanwhile, are coming closer and closer to opening a portal that will bring their Master to Earth, which will mean the destruction of all life as we know it. Even as Jade struggles with the darkness inside herself, she must team with Davril Stormguard and find a way to stop the designs of the Enemy . . . or all is lost.
Dragon War is the sixth and final volume of an exciting new urban fantasy series for fans of Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews. Each volume is a full-size standalone novel.

What a fantastic ending to the series! Jade got her revenge albeit indirectly while saving the world from the Shadow but also getting her happily ever after! So many twists and turns, ups and downs. Felt like I was on a rollercoaster. Loved the interaction between the fae and Jade, being a half dragon shifter she wasn't the sort after company but ended up proving everyone wrong about her and working with Lord Davril to save the day once more. Oh I need me a Chromecat!
It’s the last outing with bada** dragon shifter Jade and her fae Knight partner, Davril. She’s finally regained her birthright, but can she bear the cost? They embark on a mad dash to stop the enemy from opening the last gateway, which could spell an end to all goodness and light on Earth, but it could also be the key to Jade’s salvation. Page turner with action, adventure, fantastic locations, a touch of romance, and the ending does justice to the series and characters.
A great fun adventure. I just wished there was more steaminess with D and Jade. It was a good ending. I'm hoping her sister's series is as fun. I recommend this series if you love tough, fun, thieving women, fighting for the weak. Witches, fae and dragons enough said!!!!
The cover doesn't match the book title. This is Dragon War. Nice series; I'm sorry to see it end. This particular book had several typos (misspelled words and added or omitted ones). They typically didn't affect comprehension; they were merely annoying.
Through out this series we have been growing and building relationships and storylines. This book sees all that work pay off. Good triumphs over bad. Not how you expect but in the end it's a HEA. Loved it.
Loved this series, so much action and adventure. I think Jade shocked Davril to the core, but he soon fell under her spell. Do yourself a favour and read these books, they're very worth it.
After burning through the first 5 books in a few days, waiting for the 6th and final book in the series is a test of deferred gratification. This ending fits the overall feel of the series. We do receive our happily ever after and Jade gets her cake and eats it too. Overall, this series captured my attention and whisked me away into a fantasy story line that is enjoyable. At times it was a bit too YA for me but I understand this is something authors seem to find appealing for the mass readers. Recommended for paranormal readers who like plucky female leads and plenty of drama.
