Bad editing, flat story.

This story felt very flat to me. I honestly do not comprehend how even with a mate bond Ariana could possibly get close to trusting Jett after the way he treated her, even if it was for apparent good reasons. He unification and the need to seemed shaky at best and the entire plot didn't really go anywhere. I still don't get how a person who has gone through a trauma so horrible her whole life could be so well adjusted and that little panic she had felt like a band-aid solution to not having enough time to deal with some complex emotions. The sex and intimate scenes were so Breif I feel like none of these characters know what foreplay is and that is pretty irritating in a romance book. Also the amount of errors in spelling and grammar and sentence structure felt like this book was close to in readable.

Also Kim was in the hospital and her mum and kids came but no mention of a mate?? It felt like there should have been more characters but the plot didn't want to be complexes and instead skimmed over so many things.

It was such a great idea but not very well thought out.

So this series for me was always a 3.5-4 and books 1 and 2 were on the upper end so I gave them 4 stars and then books 3 and 4 were on the lower end, which is why I gave them 3 stars. I think for me there were some things that made me lean toward a 3 instead of a 4 (will get to that in a bit).

For the good stuff, I really enjoyed the battle scenes in this book. The plot was more focused on than the romance, which I appreciated, and the climax war wasn't over in like 10 pages haha. Some books do a great job with the build-up and then fall short and I think this one had the build-up and did a good job giving us the battles, seeing Ari switch to her different forms was cool. I appreciated the description of these monsters, how they were created and they fanned out was good, made for a good villain of the story. I wish there would have been a "talk" between Ari and the Queen because she actually never tried to plead her case/explain what happened to her. Did the other vampire who was forced to do these things escape? Could she have explained things? I did like the romance between 3 out of the 4 mates and how they leaned on each other and were very protective. I love when they were close to losing it and their animals were showing haha. One issue I did have was Jett was forgiven way too easily by Ari (in terms of mating). Like I appreciated the guys hold their own with him and give him conditions. I also was annoyed that he was able to coordinate ANOTHER KIDNAPPING. Like this just felt uber repetitive at this point. Like the guys know not to leave her alone and then what do they do....they leave her alone. I just felt like that was the 3rd time by these authors and felt lazy in a sense. Like no one called the guys out for messing up AGAIN?!?! Shook my head at that one a bit.

Narration was the same as the other 3 books, 3.5-4 stars for it from me. I thought the battles were done really well, the anguish by the Queen was palpable and the tension between the 5 was intense when they were confronting Jett. These 2 are already on my automatic listen list and it didnt change after this book.

Overall I did like this series, I would recommend it as long as the reader knows its not a dig your teeth into story that is going to stay with you/force you to keep going. Like don't get me wrong, I did like it, but it wasn't one of my favs I have read/listened to this year. I will say the ending didnt feel like a full ending and I was wondering if these 2 were thinking of doing more in this world. I want to know what happens with the Queen, who is on the council, what happened to the experiments and humans (we know the scientist is locked up which is good). I did enjoy the epilogue but I would have liked to see them all interacting with Jett and getting to see the cohesion more since he wasn't 100% forgiven in book 4 and didnt have a lot of time with Ari in the sense the others did. He definitely got the bad end of the deal, in terms of air time. Overall a 3.5/5 stars from me.

This is the exciting conclusion of the Silver Shifter series. It has been a steamy ride that just keeps getting hotter! Don’t miss the ending.

Ari is back with her three mates, Maximus, a wolf shifter, Cash, a dragon, and Owen, a bear. She is still sick from being poisoned when her fourth mate, the one not yet claimed, Jett, a panther, helped have her abducted by human scientists to try to find a way to rid New York of vampires.

The last thing she expects is for Jett to show up trying to make amends. Even though the panthers would be an asset in fighting the vampires, how can Ari trust him. Almost as important is the anger her other mates have toward him. They won’t even allow Jett to speak to her alone.

The war brewing with the vampires is sure to end a lot of lives. Plus, the monster created in the lab is creating more of her kind. The vampires blame Ari. She blames herself, though she had nothing to do with the monster’s creation. It was her blood used, and she feels a responsibility to protect innocents from the beasts.

Will the Silver Shifter be able to finally unite all four of New York’s clans? Can they win the coming war?

Disturbing

This is a overall rating for the four books of this serie.
It's not a bad serie and I liked the concept of a silver shifter, able to shift in the animal of her mates. Of course you will find the classic different personnalities in a harem and let me say that the assh*ole one is fine specimen🤦🏻‍♀️
But what was very disturbing and made me felt ery uncomfortable was the sex scenes. 🙄 I don't know if it's the writing style of the author or blunders or what else but almost every sex scenes were bad.
For example, Ariana lost her virginity being fucked roughly against a car without telling Cash that it was her first time and that it was painful😢😡 It sounded almost non-consensual and I felt a bit sick about it. Then she didn't talk with him about what happened, prefering suffering in silence because she was very sore🤦🏻‍♀️ Where is the communication?
Almost everytime she had sex, the author mentioned pain. Sex mustn't be painful or at least you should tell your partner and act in consequences!
I didn't read other books from this author so maybe it's just her style but let me say it's bad. Steam scenes MUST be sexy and not makes you feel bad for the FMC.☹️

I just bungee read through the first four books of Katherine Bogle and Alexa B. James’ Silver Shifter series, both the ones if read before (Her Wolf, Her Dragon and Her Bear) and the latest, Her Panther (Book 4). These really are urban fantasy romance at its finest. I love Ariana and her four alpha shifter mates. It’s a total pleasure seeing their reverse harm romance gradually develop as these books go on and as she grows into true kick-a** stature. I love the world created by the authors for these books, with its magic, vampires, warlocks and shifters. Add in an action-packed overarching story arc and superb plots in the newest book and it’s predecessors, and a superbly crafted supporting cast. The result is a true champion of a novel and series. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The series and its latest book both definitely deserve it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each of the books in this series is most definitely one to read, and all are easy to highly recommend.

where is the ending?

I am disappointed by this whole series and especially this book. I understand this is fiction, but it was completely unbelievable rubbish. For three flipping books we have chaos, sex and attacks. Then book 4 we have more attacks and drama, no relationship building (only sex & hugging and crying when the action slows down). I did not feel attached to any of the characters because there was so much going on we never really got anything about them except maybe one fact about them. Cash used to sleep around a lot, Jett lost his dad, Owen was a family guy, Max had to hide his emotions because he took over af alpha really young. Then there's so much distrust with one of them through 2 books then 1 move and all is forgiven.
Then the end just stops the next day. Will all this drama both in the relationships and out there was no feeling of resolution. What wad the aftermath of the monsters? So the queen just gave up and fled after EVERYTHING?

Avoid this book series... the blurb was LITERALLY the best part of it all

So I think the story line of this series is quite captivating and I loved the first two books. As I started reading the third book I started getting irritated. Because I knew my greatest pet peeve in a book was happening. I absolutely hate when any author but especially a YA author creates a storyline where a man betrays a woman horrifically and she is then physically and/or mentally harmed but then the girl that was abused forgives the man and still stays with them. (Pisses me off) Here’s why, young women and teens read these types of books. Many learn and grow from reading books. And these kinds of books teaches them it’s ok to be abused and to stay with their abuser. There is no excuse or reason for these kinds of betrayals. Not in a book not in real life. Do better. Teach your YA readers it’s ok to be a strong woman who will never put up with abuse/betrayal it’s more than okay to say no. Because it’s not sexy or exciting it’s just dangerous. Definitely not the sexy kind of dangerous. Beyond disappointed.

Another fitting story for this series! I am going to miss these characters and enjoyed the fun, quick reads these were. I enjoyed having the mystery of Jett revealed more and although the ending was overly convenient at times, it did provide closure on the characters story. However, I still had questions that went unanswered, felt things were a little rushed, and found it to be less polished as previous books. Still, I loved getting more from this world and characters and it was a fun and quick steamy, drama-filled series that fans of shifters and RH will enjoy!

Not all 4

Her Panther: Silver Shifter Book Four
By Alexa B. James & Katherine Bogle
Kindle unlimited purchase
This is the last book in this series. I've enjoyed this series getting to know these alphas has Ariana did. But as reverse Harem books go this was on the very low spectrum. It's more along the lines of her and her MEN. Not a lot of "sexy" time and when it did happen it was one on one. Normally when I read a reverse Harem book it's "all in" at some point. And if I remember that only happened once and only 2 men joined in NOT all four.

This series overall was okay. Nothing spectacular about it, but interesting enough to finish. There were a few eye roll moments and I wanted to smack our FMC and her mates a time or twelve, but I would say that if you like the savior trope, then give it a read.

This book in particular was an okay conclusion to the okay series. I was rather pleased with how Jett chose to “redeem” himself. That was honestly the most satisfying part of the book after spending the vast majority of the time wanting to cut off his balls and feed them to him.

I’m glad that Jett and Ariana finally worked everything out. I have to admit buying her freedom from the evil warlock master was pretty impressive. She united the 4 clans and made a council between them to keep the peace. They were able to kill all the creatures and win the war, even though the queen was still angry. I love what the guys did for her. Turning the old fight pit into a recovery place for people who were stuck in the pits and getting Dante arrested. That was the perfect way to end the series.

We finish up the story of Silver Shifter Prophecy. With a possible run off. I only gave this a four star cause I felt it was kind of rushed at the end. We still have a great written story of love, trust, and suspense. Can Ariana ever except Jett as her mate with everything he has done? Can they take the Vampire Queen down? Can they destroy the monsters that the lab made from her blood? Can she get the packs of New York to United? I checked the book out from Kindle Unlimited.

Rushed/ anticlimactic

While I binge read this entire series and loved it until the end I felt this book mainly was very rushed and anticlimactic on the ending. Not to mention the “make up” portion for Jett. Me personally I thought he needed a good ass kicking for the betrayal but hey **shrugs**. There are so many unresolved issues with the Lamina Queen and what fate awaits her.

A fantastic read this is a fantastic series. Ariana has one goal to unite the clans cam she do it. This is a fast paced read, and action packed. You have epic battles and shifters. As well as magic. These Authors have brought a Wonderful series. The world building and Character building is fantastic. I definitely recommend this must read.
This is a homerun for a series.

Sad to see this series end. I really liked. I do feel like maybe the ending was, I don’t know, less climactic than I’d like. Plus, the enemy gets away and I’m not satisfied with that. However, I adore these characters and am glad our panther is on board. He’s yummy! Great series, great characters. I have yet to read a book by Ms. James that I haven’t loved.

I would have liked to see more of this series. I never really got to see how the 5 of them interacted when there wasn't always danger hanging over their head. Had a little bit of an open ended conclusion so who knows. Overall not a bad series and since none of the books are crazy long it's a good read to pass the time

A HEA is waiting for you at the end of this book!

Some really good action scenes in this book, along with some really cute adorable moments and some steamy scenes to spice it all up.

It's a cute book series, I really enjoyed reading. Super quick as well, these book only took me about 1 1/2 hrs to read.

Damsel in distress

Honestly, I skipped a lot of this last book. I was just kind of bored with the while drama. Ariana is really mean to Jett and then all of sudden she forgives him. She's kidnapped AGAIN. This girl does nothing but play the damsel. Overall, a disappointing ending to a mediocre series.

I liked the book. I may be alone there. But this is a story. It isn't real life. And while yes Jett may have betrayed and caused the agony to Arianna, to me he redeemed himself. And again since this is a story and not real life anything can happen. It was plenty obvious through the books that all 4 would be united eventually to bring peace to the shifters.

DNF at 58%. I tried to power through it, but just not worth my time. Book 3 left so much potential for great tension, and this just fell flat. Near instant forgiveness for a betrayal, and then all the clans just poof united after one crappy speech. So unfulfilling I almost regret reading the first 3 books.

This series was a good series. I started off with audiobooks, but had to finish in kindle due to audio not available. Part of me kind of hates how easy she fell back into her panthers arms, but part of me understands it too. Overall the book is good, but I do feel like the ending kind of sucked and could have been extended a bit more

Not really a ending

Great series but it didn't wrap up all the loose ends... That queen should be coming back... If someone killed my wife I wouldn't just leave town and that's that????? Still a great series overall just felt the ending was a bit rushed and that but with the queen could a used a bit more attention for sure

Who would have guessed, the storyline continues on the same road. Anti-climatic. Very shallow main character. No depth really to any of the characters. I think the author missed the opportunity to make it more of a smut book; where they opted not to build a plot, that would’ve been the only acceptable route to continue.

Loved this book/series

I loved this whole series. Every book had action and kept me on the edge of my seat . I couldn't put it down from the very first page. I would love to get a bonus epilogue or a novella to see in the future and see some baby shifters.

The book had such an abrupt ending it was a little hard to believe... and the epilogue did little to add the the story but fluff. I didn't forgive the one mate in book #4 so he was a disappointment still. It felt like we needed 1 more installment to really wrap up the story.

Must Read

I really enjoyed reading this book /series . I can’t believe this was the last book. I’m gonna miss these characters. The boys really came around from the first book to the last and someone even redeemed themselves.
