E-ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

PROS:
•  Very easy and fast to read. I think that by now, it was made clear that I am a slow reader.  But when I have the chance to read fast, I am very happy because that means that the writing is perfectly fitting me, thing that happened with this thriller. I had found myself to just fly through words.
• Kept me confused and asking myself questions almost all the time. This was not, at least for me, the kind of thriller where things let you guess very easy who did it, and mostly why. No! I was made to think and to question anything and anyone, even to put the sanity of the main character at question. If this is not a PRO for a thriller, then I don't know what it is.
• The ending. Though in my opinion, the ending would have been more proper for a romance novel, or something like that, I can still see its role and I eventually realized that the main character got what she deserved.

CONS:
• I realize that actually, I don't have any! Very well done!

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
• Seeing that I don't have any CONS, you may ask why I didn't rate this book 5⭐. Well, it's because though I loved every word and page from it, it didn't WOW me. It didn't made experience drastic changes of feelings or to whisper under my breath OMG. But, as you can say from my PROS, I do consider this thriller a very well done one, with realistic characters and dynamics. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to start read thrillers, or is already at the beginning of it. Even for experienced thriller readers, because this one can be very easily dropped into the easy and fast reads category.

When Kate wakes up in the hospital, she has no idea who she is .... she doesn't recognize her husband, her friends, her mother and father she only knows from pictures. Her father is also in the hospital recuperating.

She looks in the mirror and sees a stranger. Her husband is distant, although courteous. When her best friend tells her there were 'issues' between Kate and her husband. When she discovers divorce papers , she's sure that their issues were big ones.

Then the nightmares begin ... are they only nightmares, or is her memory beginning to come back? Who is the man chasing her and why is he so fearful? In some respects , Kate feels like she's losing her sanity.

Kate must untangle the threads of her life ..... she needs to know who she was .... she needs to solve the mystery of the car accident. The more she uncovers, the more questions she has and she finds that there are deep dark secrets she must root out.

This is a well written psychological drama full of twists and turns and secrets and lies. Not everyone is who or what they show on the outside. The characters are finely drawn and lend credibility to the story.

Many thanks to the author / HQ Digital / Netgalley for the digital copy of HER PERFECT LIES. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

Her Perfect Lies
Personally I don’t know what I would have done if I lost every single of my memory. Starting from ground zero, however, having loves one lie to me because they think they are protecting. This storyline was great and original as we know most psychological thrillers all seem the same these. I rated this book a 3.5 because I feel like it has potential to be great.

What I liked:
- It was a easy and fast read
- Really liked the new Claire (thoughtful, caring and loving)
- Liked trying to figure out who was the bad and good guys with Claire
- I like the relationship that Claire had with her mother and brother

What I didn’t like:
- Claire easily believed in everything and everyone
- Things Claire should’ve questioned she didn’t for example the international calls (don’t want to say to much)
- There many situations that dragged on and on. Situations that should have more time, I only a glimpse.
- Wished I got more of Claire and Paul (if the ending it going to be romantic)
- Wished I got more of a backstory of Gaby and Paul

I hope to read more from Lana Newton. I would recommend this book for someone is looking for a fast read psychological thriller.

A great premise for a book that all us thriller/psychological book lovers enjoy, a woman wakes in her hospital bed and cannot remember who she is or what has happened to her
See, we all love a book that starts like that
She is wealthy and has everything she seems to need except the love of her ‘odd’ hubby, Paul, and we are led to believe he is a ‘baddie’
The best part of the book is when she is on the phone to her Mum who is apparently in Australia, on finishing the call she is called by her hubby and told her Mum has been found dead!
But then the story turns upside down with lies and secrets but sadly imo not very interesting lies and secrets and failed to whip up any enthusiasm for what was happening from me
I didn’t warm to any characters or the story telling style tbh and the ending, when came, was welcome
As say a great premise but let down by the rest

This is a tense tale of a young woman's struggle to fight traumatic memory loss and rediscover her family and friends. Her 'leave no stone unturned' efforts unearth some things that might have been better left buried - and to avoid spoilers, that's all I'll say here. It's an enjoyable and well-written foray in psychological suspense, with some twists that I didn't see coming - which is always a pleasant surprise for me when I read this kind of story. Definitely worth a look, if you like reading in this genre.

Fellow readers...I genuinely feel like a "Negative Nancy" lately. I've written so many 1 or 2 star reviews the past couple months, I'm beginning to feel like the Grinch.

It isn't intentional...it's just that the books I've read recently are recycled material. And nearly all their previous incarnations were far more successful.

While the red herrings in Her Perfect Lies were decent, I still easily managed to guess who the antagonist was very early on. Nothing about the characters made them easy to relate to, or even likable. There were several story lines which started...then simply disappeared from the book, never to be heard from again. And at its conclusion, the book got very preachy, quoting Bible verses and discussing Heaven. Very random...and odd.

Mostly, though, my biggest issue with this novel was all the filler...it could have easily been 100 pages shorter. I was literally counting down the pages until it ended, as I was more than tired of reading Claire's confused, constantly repeated, ramblings.

Thankfully, I have several books coming up I suspect will get very high ratings (Jennifer Hillier, anyone?), so hopefully you won't have to read my criticisms much longer.

**Many thanks to the publisher for my copy of this novel, in exchange for my candid review.

Great book! Suspense and mystery. Claire wakes up in the hospital. She can’t remember why she’s there. She has no memory of her husband or anyone. Her dad is also in the hospital in intensive care. She finds out they are there because of a car accident. Now Claire must try and remember what happened.

This was a good read! It was an easy read and it kept me intrigued. You have Claire who woke up from a car accident with absolutely no recollection of who she was before the accident. Zero memories has no idea who anyone is etc you get the picture. She has to navigate through everyone including her husband Paul who seems a bit distant, her best friend Gaby who possibly talks too much, her father who is so loving to her, all to try and see who is telling the truth and what really happened not only in her accident but her life.

It is a well told psychological thriller with a good twist in the end. Very satisfying and I would recommend for a quick read if you are looking for something that isn’t TOO dark and twisted.

Claire’s character is a young and strong willed woman trying to remember her life after a car accident with her father. She learns devastating details about her family and friends as she is longing for her memory to return to her. Betrayal, murder, and new beginnings. The ending chapter made my heart so full, it was perfect!

An exciting premise for a promising tale of psychological suspense, HER PERFECT LIES did not live up to my expectations. In fact I had to force myself to keep reading because I wanted to know how it ended...and even then it was far from exciting or gripping.

After a car accident, Claire wakes in hospital with no memory of who she is or how she got there. She doesn't recognise her husband, her friends or family. When she discovers her father is also in the hospital in a coma, she rushes to his bedside to sit with him, despite having no memories of him she just knows she has to be there.

She is soon fit to be discharged and her husband Paul takes her home...which isn't just a house, it's a mansion! Which her very wealthy mother bought for them, Paul informs her.

Home is meant to be a sanctuary, but there are so many nooks one can hide in this huge house to gain some privacy. And yet, Claire doesn't feel like it's home. She aches to get back to the hospital to visit her father again...and glean some more information from him about her life.

She is supposed to be happily married and yet Paul is distant with her. He watches her take her meds to ensure she does so...saying he just wants what's best for her. But does he really? Her best friend Gaby tells her that they had "issues" without elaborating, and when Claire discovers divorce papers with their signatures on, she believes that their issues must be pretty big.

And then the nightmares begin...or are they memories? Claire doesn't know but one thing she is sure of is that she is terrified of them. Who is the faceless man in her nightmares? And why is she so afraid of him? Is it Paul? Or someone else? Or is she just imagining it?

Claire begins to realise that the place she feels safest is with her father, so when Paul informs her that the hospital is discharging him, Claire insists he come and live with them. As her father is confined to a wheelchair unable to walk, Paul hires a nurse and a physiotherapist to see to his needs. Despite his willingness to help, Claire finds herself unable to trust Paul. Is it something her subconscious knows about him? Is he the man from her dreams?

And where was Claire's mother? Her father claims she was in the USA tending to a sick relative, but Gaby insists that there was no way on earth that Angela (her mother) would not fly back to be at her daughter's bedside. Her father is vague about when her mother will return - 3 weeks or 3 months, he isn't sure. Then her mother calls from the USA. Claire is ecstatic to hear from her, though she cannot picture her. In a flurry of words, Angela tells her she wishes she could be with her but she will be as soon as she can. At least now she knows where her mother is.

...Until she hears her father sobbing from his room, the police and Paul at his bedside. What's going on, she asks. Her mother's body has just been found, stabbed on her kitchen floor. Claire claims that that isn't possible as she has just gotten off the phone to her mother in the USA. But when Paul and her father return from identifying the remains Claire's world collapses even further. It's her. She is gone. Her mother is dead. But...then who has been calling her?

Claire finds that she must untangle the threads of her life...and discover who she was. Beginning with the car accident. Why does her father tell her she wasn't in the car, yet the police constable remembers vividly pulling her out? And why did he then lie to the police telling them she WAS in the car and they were on the way to go horse riding? Which is the truth?

But the more Claire digs, the more she uncovers that makes little or no sense. She learns that she had a brother she knew nothing about and an aunt, her mother's twin, she hadn't seen since she was 16. The house she thought she had grown up in in North London she had moved to from Windsor at the same age she last saw her mother's twin sister. What secrets was her family trying to cover up? Was it something she did and they were merely protecting her?

Claire realised the truth lay in Windsor...and endeavoured to find out exactly what truth that was.

The concept behind HER PERFECT LIES was an interesting one in where a woman wakes from a coma with no memory of her life whatsoever. Imagine what one could do with that! Her family, friends and even husband could rewrite her history and she would be none the wiser. However, it just didn't work here. I felt the story was just a jumble of one dimensional occurrences involving a handful of characters that were just too implausible.

I didn't warm to anyone in the story and found myself longing for it to end. But at the same time, I had to force myself to continue just so I could find out what really happened...and once I got there, I felt I would have been better off ditching the book for something far more enthralling. The conclusion was predictable in the end because what other explanation was there? There were so many secrets and lies all tangled together I couldn't even make headway with them that I didn't even care who was responsible in the end.

I must be one of the minority with this book because many others rave about it but I honestly could not see why. With a similar concept I believe Steve (S.J.) Watson did it far better in "Before I Go To Sleep" and because of that, I guess it is difficult to surpass its success.

Sadly, I did not enjoy HER PERFECT LIES at all and really struggled to complete it...and that was only because I wanted to find out what happened. But, don't take my word for it...there are plenty of others who have really enjoyed it. I'd recommend you take a look for yourself. Everyone's tastes are different and you may love it or you may not. You never know until you give it a go.

Her Perfect Lies - Lana Newton
What a story plot! Claire is involved in an accident that leaves her remembering absolutely nothing about her life or the people in it. As her father, husband and best friend try to guide her back to who she is Claire is confused as to who she can trust.
On top of other events that occur in Her Perfect Lies this was an exciting and easy read.

Magnificent storytelling

Kortchik has written a magnificent story. I've read this author's work before, and I was definitely not disappointed with this thrilling story. The characters have a lot of depth and growth, while the plot keeps the reader turning the pages, breathlessly awaiting for whatever comes next. It's filled with mystery and intrigue, and the reader gets pulled in from the beginning. Claire is a very strong character, probably stronger than she realizes. The secrets led to more, and even more. I found it to be very unpredictable, which is what I love about a story. I look forward to reading more by this author. This read is definitely recommended by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.

I found this book very interesting. So, Claire wakes up in the hospital with no memory. All she knows is she is married to a man named Paul, a doctor and her father was with her in a car accident. She goes home 2 weeks after the accident to a gorgeous home but finds her husband distant and cold. When she leaves the hospital, her father is still in a coma. Eventually he wakes up but she is told that he has spinal injury from the car accident and would be wheelchair bound. Detectives come and they tell Claire that she was in the back seat of the car. Nothing makes sense and she suffers from nightmares as she tries to regain her memory. Her amnesia is so stressful. Then, there is her friend Gaby who tells her that her marriage has some issues and her mother is away and calls her from where she is, taking care of her aunt. Nothing makes sense. Slowly, as the book progresses to about 60% of the way in she begins to find clues to what is going on and her memory starts to slowly come back. The end had a real twist to it that I didn’t see coming. I finished this book in a day because it was an easy read and I couldn’t put it down till I knew the ending. I highly recommend this book if you like a book that is a psychological thriller filled with mystery, twist and turns and filled with suspense. I want to thank net galley for this ARC I received for a honest review.

For full review - The Limit of Books Does Not Exist

One of my favourite books of all time is Before I Go to Sleep. Because of the greatness of Before I Go to Sleep, I find that no other memory loss novels can compare. I keep waiting for a massive twist, but it doesn’t deliver.

I think my other problem with Her Perfect Lies was that it wasn’t believable. I would hope that if I was in the hospital from a car crash and loss my memory that my family would come and visit me more than once or twice. Also Claire was a bit too trusting of everyone, even those they showed that they didn’t care about her.

Easy read, but had a predictable ending and my expectations are far too high for memory loss novels.

A pageturner based on the premise of amnesia after a car accident. I always quite like these kind of books, though they can be a bit predictable. What makes this book different is that Claire is unable to remember who she is, and must rely on other people to tell her who she was. They don't all agree, and when things her family tell her don't add up, she has no memories with which to assess who is telling the truth and who is lying.

She has no idea too, if the portrait her 'best friend' Gaby paints of her before the accident - a selfish, self-obsessed woman on the verge of divorce - is actually the true Claire or not. So even the narrator is unreliable. Amidst all this shifting sand, we must ask; is Paul, her husband, so distant because of her previous behaviour, or just because he doesn't love her? Could he have had something to do with the car crash?

Even more mysterious, her mother's odd phone calls, disappearance and death. As you progress through the book the questions pile up surrounding the circumstances of the car accident and you find yourself thinking through all the scenarios to try to solve the conundrum. This is a dark, twisty thriller, exactly as the cover suggests, and will keep you engrossed and turning the pages until you find out who Claire was and the shocking truth of how she was a victim of such a serious accident. (I wont spoil the ending!)

Can a person suffering from amnesia trust anyone to tell the whole truth without inserting their own bias or agenda? That's what Claire is on a quest to find out before it's too late. Her story takes the reader on a roller coaster of emotions from the first page to the last as she discovers what the people in her life are truly capable of. Great book for a rainy day!

Thank you to HQ Stories for sending me a copy of the book and allowing me to take part in the blog tour. All views and opinions discussed here are my own.

I do like a good amnesia thriller because it always starts with an intense pace; when a character can't remember most or aspects of their life you know there are going to be a number of twists and turns presented throughout the book to shock and move the character. This book was not without its turns and plot twists; some of which i'd guessed early on, others not quite so much.

I did fly through this book; it's a real easy reader and is one I managed to read in one sitting so I definitely give praise to the author for that.

Unfortunately for me I just didn't gel with this book; I don't know if it's because i've read too many thrillers lately or whether authors are just going along similar plotlines but I found the pacing of the book quite odd and some chapters felt very choppy. I honestly don't feel like the book flowed that well for the reader and it just all seemed a bit over the place. Not only that but the character motivations and character developments were just confusing; Claire goes from being someone who hasn't spoken to her housekeeper for 3 years to the kindest woman ever. I don't believe that a bout of amnesia would change your personality so drastically. And with Paul; one minute he's some heartless bastard who doesn't seem to care about his wife and next he's desperate for their marriage to work. There just seemed to be no development to cause these changes in personality.

Sadly I did also guess the major plot twists; Paul

Honestly one of the things I found most ridiculous was the police who just kept turning up and telling Claire to star remembering soon... clearly they would have spoke with the hospital to know she wasn't faking and they just seemed like idiots. Also Claire talks repeatedly about how she's following her mother's lead (in trusting her father) yet Claire cannot remember anything about her mother at this point so how on earth does she know what her view would be. It just felt a bit silly and felt like the author hadn't really thought out the full impact of amnesia on a person.

Ooo and that ending... well for me that was a total disappointment and didn't wrap anything up. It was like everything was just brushed under the carpet so the author didn't really have to deal with it. I think maybe i'm at the point where I need to take a break from thrillers because they're all just blurring into one for me and it means that I might not give books the right chance. I honestly don't think that's the case here but would recommend you give it your own go and go in with your own view...

Psychological Thriller / Domestic Thriller / Amnesia / Contemporary

Clipboard01

A stranger watched her from the mirror. Grey eyes, pale lips, blonde - almost white - hair, as if bleached by the sun, a face she felt she had never seen before. The only thing she knew about this stranger was her name.
Claire. They said her name was Claire.

Claire Wright was badly injured in a car accident. When she wakes up from a coma she has no memory at all -- she no longer recognize herself in the mirror, no longer remembers her handsome husband Paul, her previous life and the car accident that put her and her father in the hospital bed. They told her things she found hard to believe. She was famous, touring around the world with ballet company. There was so much she wanted to know. Like why her husband was so distant and rarely visited her in the hospital? Why her mother never visited her? What had happened before the accident? Can she piece together her old and new life?

I enjoyed beginning of this story - I was along with Claire puzzled and wondering what was going on. But then the story got quite boring, memory loss sounded too convenient way to create the mystery and I didn't like any of the characters . It was okay but forgettable.

A gripping read with secrets hidden in every book and crany. I was delighted at the way the Secrets were unfolded by the author.

After an accident that affected Claire and her father, Claire was left with amnesia, and everyone seemed hiding something.

My first book by Lana Newton I found that the writing engaged my senses and kept me hooked to the plot. There was a sense of imploded suspense and massive reveal as the main character soon started investigating.

The writing was smooth, seamless on its flow, I could feel bad for Claire as she traversed unknown territory. She remembered nothing and nobody. It was a slow descriptive read at times, I skipped those parts to get to the juicy bits.

The last 30%was extremely fun, though I suspected some things, it was still fun to be proved right.

I will rate Her Perfect lies by Lana Newton a 2.5 rounded up. Sigh, where do I even begin? This story started out with all of the highest expectations of being a wonderful psychological thriller but fell flatter than pancakes as the story droned on and on and on and on and on. See? No one likes repetitiveness when they are reading. Anyways, the story is about Claire Wright who awakens in a hospital with amnesia. She's had an accident, but doesn't remember anything about it or her previous life. She knows she is married to Paul, a doctor at the hospital, but he isn't warm and loving towards her and feels more like a stranger than a spouse. She has a best friend named Gaby who is hoarding all kinds of secrets from her and the only person she feels inclined to trust is her father, Tony, who was in this accident with her. I wanted to like this book. I really wanted to enjoy it, but I couldn't. It became boring so quickly.

What I enjoyed about this book:

The idea of the amnesia patient being in an accident and waking up from it not knowing who she is or anything about her former life is an interesting concept. It has the makings of a great psychological thriller... If... It is done right.
The secrets that the father had were intriguing, but... Well, I'll get into the secrets more later on in this review.

What I didn't enjoy about this book:

The storyline was flat and it dragged on for ages.
Claire really didn't question her amnesia or really seek out to find out her true identity as much as I would have liked her to.
Her father, Tony, oh how I despised that man, was a horrid character and was only looking out for himself. He should have been honest with Claire about who she was and their past. I figured out the "secret" behind this early on in the story.
The lies and "secrets" within this story. What a bore... I mean, seriously, any amateur reader could pick up the fact that Tony wasn't all who he claimed or appeared to be and it was quite awful how long it took for this author to explain to the readers what I had already figured out. Tony is a monster. Point blank. I will not write more as I will not spoil this book for future potential readers. Just know, it is quite evident what really happened in the accident and to Claire's mother and brother.
The secret and lies of Paul and Gaby were a total snooze fest...I figured out their secret early on, too.

Nonetheless, thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for an opportunity to read this book in the exchange of an honest review.

A great premise that quickly fell flat for me, unfortunately. The story throws the reader right into the deep end of the pool with Claire waking up in the hospital with no memory of who she is, her friends, family, or her husband. The story quickly gives the reader the impression that the people around Claire are keeping secrets and she can’t trust anyone.

The plot goes in circles repetitively on the issue of the untrustworthiness of everyone, including Claire, which didn’t drive the story forward and quickly began to frustrate me. With the continuous back and forth, I was tempted many times to give up. There are so many details thrown at the reader about Claire, her accident, her phone calls with a mother she doesn’t remember, an aunt and brother nobody told her about and extreme tension between Claire and her husband.

When the details began to piece together, the big reveal was a big disappointment, and the ending of the book left me without any real closure.

My Final Verdict: Overall, I was looking forward to this story and thought it had a great premise, but the story failed to deliver. The plot was choppy, very little character development and I struggled to feel any empathy or connection with any of the characters. Fans of the mystery, suspense and thriller genres will find much better choices than this one.

I was kindly sent the kindle version of this from the publishers HQ as i took part in the review tour.

I did enjoy this one but i guess it just maybe wasn't that original overall, from the synopsis it is quite similar to a few releases in the last year or so but that aside it was a good read and one that delivered some decent twists along the way.

Due to the theme of the book i loved that it made the atmosphere of the story really closed in and tense, you feel stressed out at times because you just want Claire to remember everything, and as it goes on you learn about what her life was before her accident, and i just thought it all went together really well. You could feel her frustration so much, and all throughout i was trying to guess what was going to happen but like always i didn't do so correctly.

I liked the writing here, i thought it flowed really well and it did grab my attention from the very start. I did think that around the middle section it maybe did drag on a little bit but it did quickly pick back up and then concluded really well also.

I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers, with interesting storylines and a good amount of twist and turns.

Ever read a book and from the get go realise something just doesnt add up? Something just doesnt make sense. This is what happened with this book, from the very first page i felt eeire and wondered what on earth had actually happened.

We meet Claire who has had an accident and has no memory of her former life at any point, she is in hospital and doesnt even recall the handsome man who says he is her husband.

She must start again and navigate her new life, she is trying to understand what happened in the accident - were where her and her dad travelling too? When something serious comes to light she really does need to question what has happened that little bit more.

Her Perfect Lies was brilliant, like i said because i realised something was off from the first page i spent the whole time second guessing everyone but still was unable to solve the mystery that was unravelling infront of me.

This was a great thriller and a nice break from all the sweet festive reads as of late, it was deep, dark and had a whole lot of substance - i recommend you spend some time getting to know these characters.

When Claire Wright wakes up in hospital after a serious accident, she doesn't recognise the face in the mirror. She doesn't know her name, doesn't know her husband and doesn't know what happened to her.

Claire is released to the care of her husband, while her father - who she is told was in the accident with her - remains in hospital. But with the people in Claire's life telling her very different things about her life before the accident, and her father insistent on the fact that she wasn't in the car when he crashed it, it seems Claire is going to have to do some digging to determine the truth from the lies, and determine who - if anyone - she can really trust...

I liked the premise, and although the amnesia trope has been done to death by this point, it can still be done well, so I was more than willing to give this novel the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, I just didn't gel with the book from the beginning. I found the writing style very flat, and the characters one-dimensional - I didn't care about any of them enough to be interested in what happened to them. I found Claire's amnesia was dealt with in a very unrealistic way, too - she barely questions anything to begin with, isn't particularly anxious about the fact that she is essentially dumped back into a life she doesn't recognize with people she doesn't know, etc etc.

The plot was nothing special or original but it was the writing style that left me feeling ultimately disconnected from the story. If I hadn't been reading an advance copy to review for NetGalley, I don't think I would have finished this one. That having been said, it's not a bad book per se, it just wasn't for me - if you like your writing style curt and clean then this might be the book for you, but I prefer more detail and more development than I found here.

⭐⭐⭐1/2
You wake up after a car accident. You look in the mirror and a total stranger looks back at you. Surely you must remember your husband and family? How can you not remember being a well known ballerina? You don't like the taste of pickles because they taste like seawater, but are told you use to love them. This is what happened to Claire.

"The human mind … what a fragile thing it was. One minute your life had meaning. You had a past, a present and a future that was anticipated and planned for. You went to work, saved money, paid into your pension. You got married, travelled the world, fell in love, had babies, pizza every Saturday and takeaway Chinese every Friday night. And then, just like that, without any warning or indication, your mind could turn its back on you, leaving you in a void. Knowing who you are, where you are in life, all gone like an early morning fog. Without that knowledge, what was left?"

Claire is told she was in a car accident with her father but when he wakes up from his coma he is adamant he was alone in the car.

Her husband takes her home but it doesn't feel like a home and why is he cold towards her? Where is her mother? Why doesn't she come and see her?

These and more are the things Claire has to try and cope with. Who can you trust if you can't remember them?

I enjoyed the book and I thought it had a good storyline. Here and there there were things that bothered me a bit, but it wasn't major issues. All in all it was a solid psychological thriller.
