Different read
The story was nice as it offers a new perspective into a supernatural academy; instead of a student’s perspective, you now see through a founder’s.
The main lead sounds like she’s in her late twenties, despite the fact that she’s a lot younger. I think that’s clever, because early maturity is sadly what kids in foster homes experience. The language was appropriate to that fact that the story sounds a bit more realistic.
I’m excited to see her and her team hopefully rescue her parents. I hope it has a happy ending.
I feel a bit uneasy, though, because I feel bad for Reece now that Xander has stepped in. I hope this won’t be a reverse harem, because, given the development of Mar’s and Reece’s relationship, an extra love interest would feel like a betrayal to me, and it would kill the mood for the book. Fingers crossed though, because seeing how this book ends, I feel like betrayal is exactly what’s going to happen.
I had to take a star off because of the amount of typos in this book. It seems like there are at least 3 typos in EACH chapter, and that’s a but ridiculous for a published—presumably proofread book.
Anyway, it is a nice short read, and I’m looking forward to the next one!
