Astrid and Armand.. a ex-hitman turned personal trainer and a teacher..

Before i get into the review.. i would like to inform the author please.. give us a blurb... i went into this totally blind.. so if i sound harsh well.. I'm sorry..

All i knew from this book was it was a curvy chick who wanted to find prince charming.. but acted like she didn't.. she was kinda moody and naive.. also she didn't stand up for herself

The PRINCIPAL said she doesnt do bodyshaming and stuff.. and i quote " Do you know why my husband still fucks me?" And sent Astrid a text for a trainer to lose weight.. :/ to me that silently saying lose some weight.. or hey guys only fuck you if your fit.. idk why but that annoyed the fuck out of me.. so much..

And she goes to that gym!! Oh honey.. only to meet half naked Armand she is blushing and well... by him looking at her and she's so gorgeous he cums in his towel.. like WHAT!! Now Armand was okay he was fun loving, bossy, and well he fell hard.. in less then 2ish hours they are already saying i love yous.. that's very INSTA..

I might give this author another chance.. if the 2nd book is better..

The couple: Armand and Astrid

Plot: Astrid is a teacher, and one day, her principal gifts her a series of personal training sessions (it's not altruistic, at all). She decides to go to "Body by Armand" and see what it's all about. She is met at the door by Armand and from there, it's instant true love. But wait - there's a child sex trafficking ring (don't worry - it's not triggering), hitmen, the mob - the world's a scary place!

Character development: If you wanted smut, you came to the right place! The most ridiculous (and of course funny) scene ever: she opens the door, and the first time he sees her (he's only wearing a towel because he jumped out of the shower to answer the door), he cums in his towel just from looking at her. She, of course, runs away!. These two are endearingly ridiculous and perfectly made for each other. Armand is a fitness expert and gym owner, but wouldn't change a pound on Astrid.

This was the most ridiculously filthy, OTT insta-love story I've ever read to date!

It was a quick, fun romp with plenty of major fireworks and a surprisingly dark undertone. Just enough of a palate cleanser between ARCs!

I received this book as a gift of an advanced read copy. Having read it I would like to give my honest opinion.

Okay, first I need to put a bit of a warning out there. If you are not comfortable with explicit sexual scenes then this may not be the book you will want to read. When Armand and Astrid meet and get together for the first time it is pretty intense. That being said I really liked the plot of the story and how it was woven to bring things together in the end.
Astrid is a fourth grade teacher at an expensive all private all girl school. The principal LuAnn Michaels over hears Astrid making a commit to her class about being not being married. Astrid is a curvy girl though she has put on a little extra weight her pants have ripped in the back seam and now she is terribly self aware. LuAnn wants Astrid to be happy with herself. “Happy teachers makes for happy students”. LuAnn gives her a gift for a visit to “Body’s By Armand” fitness gym.

Armand is the owner of a they fitness gym and the only trainer there as well. He loves working out and pushing others to go beyond what they think that they can.
As a matter of fact there are a lot of very inspiring lines in this book that he has said that I liked a lot.
But he is not interested in the women there for any other reason but fitness. He is trying to get his head and soul straightened out. He has spent his life as an independent contract hitman; he has always worked in the shadows. Now he was getting out of the business. He has payed off the money to his old employer, but just as he and Astrid finally find each other his old Mafia boss is calling them both in to see him. That is not good. Not good at all. Now it is a question of how long they are going to live. If they are being brought in to talk to the man himself face to face it is bad. The rest of the story will keep your heart racing all the way to the end.

What a brilliant story. Do you believe in fate??
Astrid loves her job as a teacher. She has got curves in all the right places, even if she is holding a little bit more weight that is fashionable but Astrid learnt to love her body and she didnt care what people thought or did she? When LuAnn The principal at the all girls school comes into her class she is quick to try and put Astrid down in her own way, pretending to care about her staff. Sends her a gift certificate to 10 free personal training sessions to her gym. But Astrid is not sure, that is until she walks to the gym and sees Armand.
Armand has had enough of the player life. He hasn't been with a woman for over a year. He is waiting for his dream woman to come into his life, He knows she is out there for him. SO when Astrid knocks at the door of the gym he is stunned. He had just got out of the shower and was in nothing but a towel and it is obvious that he likes what he sees. Then something happens that has never happened to him before. And it scares Astrid and she walks off. But it isn't long before she is back.
There are many twists and turns in this book Some I just didnt see coming. There is a wonderful feel about this book that just carried me away. I couldnt put it down. I am super excited for the next book in this series. A fantastic read that you can get lost in.

Astrid is a primary school teacher she is also a big beautiful curvy woman and she has just ripped her pants in class, she wants to be a princess just for once and get the Prince in the end. The Queen who is actually the principal comes in and gives Astrid a bit of advice like she has so many times but no she sends a message to Astrid’s phone it’s an advertisement to visit Body by Armand the first session is free and her principal also sent her a gift certificate that gives Astrid 10 personal training sessions so she signs up. Armand hates sitting on a stationary bike but it’s his business and he needs to get these ladies legs moving, once they are finished one woman asks Armand out to lunch but he says no he has a meeting then a darkness comes over him he’s kept up the payments so he doesn’t know why the mafia want to come to his place. While showering Armand hears the front door bell so he just goes in his towel but it’s not the mafia it’s the woman of his dreams and a need rips through him like never before, he says who are you and she says Astrid then something happens to Armand that only a school boy would do and it sends Astrid running away. I’m not going to tell you what Armand had done but it will make you laugh your head off. This is an amazing story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Astrid and Armand. Astrid is a elementary school teacher who believes you don't need a man to make you happy. Though she does want one she just knows that she need to make sure that she can take care of herself before she looks to a man to do it for her. Her principal though tells her that no man will want her the way she looks in not so nice words and gifts her to 10 sessions at Body by Armand. She decides she will give it a try but one look at Armand and she want more than just a work out with this man. Armand knows the kind of woman he wants and it isn't the stick-figures he trains in his gym. So when Astrid comes in one day he knows that she is what he wants. When she runs from him though he thinks he may have just lost his chance with his one. Will these two find that they are really each other's HEA or will outside forces make sure they never get there?

This is a super hot book with some big twist you won't see coming. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Astrid, curvy teacher at an all girls private school. I didn’t think there was anything extra negative. Who hasn’t as a curvy woman ripped their pants on the inseam or the out seam. From the quick reference she is a person still coming into her own acceptance of her curves. Armand newly reformed hitman running a fitness club. He doesn’t want the trimmed female. He wants the ha does to hold and sink into to satisfy his needs. Point taken. Shrugs, stranger meetings have happened. This is a nice, kind of intense quick love story. There is definitely a three-part HEA and how their minds works is quite entertaining. For Armand, this is about doing one last job to clear the books so he is definitely free from the mafia. Astrid is there to meet her new instructor with free sessions from a personal trainer from a coupon her supervisor gave her. Who knew fate, destiny and just knowing with a look would be so hot and heavy.
Great job on the characters, great job on the quick theme and how it all falls into place to make them the perfect couple. Well as perfect as can possibly be under the circumstances. No cliffhangers and steamy scenes are always good to Indulge in to keep it extra fun.

On the fence with insta-love story

I am really on the fence and not sure about this insta-love story. Curvy for Him: The Teacher and the Trainer is the first book that I have read by Annabelle Winters but the description looked fun so I figured I would give it a read.

I found the story to be way too quick, even for a short read. The insta-love was the h seeing a picture on a website and for the H it was dreaming of his soul mate. There were some funny parts, especially the way Astrid and Armand first "meet". The story had a good premise but it seemed to have a lot going on and more than a few things mixed in which could have been edited out to make the story tighter. I did like Astrid's character as her internal dialogue was quite funny and realistic for a single 30'ish woman who is overweight, too tired and just plain worn out and self sabotaging in the love department.

I will read one or two more from this author before passing my final judgement on whether she makes my "must read" list or not.

What can happen in 24 hours if you have fate on your side…HOT insta-lust!
This was a short but get-right-down-to-it naughty book. Loved it!
Her principal has given Astrid a free session with Armand, local body-builder and trainer and, oh yeah, former hitman. Astrid teaches at a private girls’ school and is in her thirties, very curvy, with no male interest in sight. So, she decides to go that evening to use her free session. When she gets there, Armand answers the door in only a towel b/c he was expecting former associates. What happens next is priceless and so unexpected. It appears that Astrid is Armand’s perfect mate ;-) So much happens during 24 hours it will blow your mind.
There are over-the-top scenes between Astrid and Armand, intrigue among people you least expect and a very satisfying HEA. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes highly recommended for its lust/love scenes and unique story, the bulk of which occurs during 24 hours…really!

This is on steamy start to a new series that has a lot of naughtiness! We get to meet Astrid who is a 4th grade teacher at a private all girls school and is one curvy woman who is still coming to terms with her body. Her principal believes her teachers should be happy so she gives Astrid some free workout sessions with a local gym and the owner is the trainer along with recently getting out of the business as a hitman. While at the gym things become very interesting quickly! Astrid can not believe Armand answers the door in a towel and how his muscles and body is one of wonder. They have an incredible and intense moment and things get pretty crazy from the start. Armand has 1 favor he must complete to be totally free so when the goons come to collect they make things even more involved. Once Astrid returns they have one hot and steamy connection and how they deal with one another is something special. Astrid is a fourth grade teacher and her principal gives her a certificate for a fitness club. Armand is the owner of the fitness club and when he sees Astrid he knows that she is perfect for him. However he has a dangerous past that he doesn't want her to know about. Astrid leaves as quickly as she gets to the club but before she can convince herself to go she stops at the corner and sees a couple rough looking men go into the club. When they leave she goes back because she is worried for Armand. Pretty soon Astrid finds herself mixed up in Armand's business when it gets too close to her work for comfort. Will this bring them closer or pull them apart?

This is a great quick story that will have you on the edge of your seat until the end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I am been generous with my rating, as I hate to give out bad reviews, I am not a writer there for don't have the knowledge of what it takes to write a tale down, be that as it may I do know a good book when I see on and this is not that, its an awful romance, using nearly every romance lingo in the world, BBW yep we must have that, evil woman oh yes she is all that, trafficking kids, a gym owner who is secretly a mafia hitman, insta love insta sex really, I have read some fabulous sex scenes and some not so fabulous this one was absolute shit, so unbelievable I was actually laughing. I picked it up last night for something quick to read, I really wish I hadn't it left a bad taste in my mouth and I have no idea how it got so many good reviews. Apparently there are a load of these books will not be reading anymore. One was enough for me.

Curvy for Him: The Teacher and the Trainer is the first book in Ms. Winters’ new series. It has everything I expect from one of her books. The storyline has a well written plot, there are scorching hot love scenes, the characters are strong and well defined and there is some drama. In addition this story had some interesting features. It is a novella, there is instant attraction between Ms. Astrid a fourth grade teacher in a school for girls and Armand a trainer with an interesting past and there are three epilogues that supply a wonderful ending to their story. I won’t go into plot details other than to say it is typical Annabelle Winters at her creative best and I enjoyed the read.
I was given a copy of this book by the author. This is my honest opinion.

Not a Biff-Bam thank you, Ma'am, Kinda Story-Yet Stamy

Annabelle Winters makes you a believer in love at first sight. The main character's first meeting was jaw-dropping and there are definitely some humorous elements throughout the story. We see one character come into her own and our Trainer, Armand, find that missing piece of his soul. Although school teacher Astrid does not see herself as deserving of such intense love, Armand really teaches her a thing or two and happily ever after becomes their reality. The book has some very interesting twists. It is an easy read. It will be interesting to see how Winters continues this series as the Cop and the Librarian are next.

OMG! What a ride this was. This is book one in an awesome new series by Annabelle Winters. Astrid is a school teacher with curves who after getting advice from her principal goes to a gym to get in shape. Armand owns and runs Body by Armand. Astrid is hesitant at first but decides to give a chance. Armand has been celibate for over a year because he hasn't met the one yet. He desires a woman with curves who will give the family he craves. When Armand and Astrid first meet, it rocks them both to the core. And Astrid goes running. But something pulls her back to the mysterious Armand. Neither will ever be the same again. Where Astrid is light, Armand is dark. This book was intense and had a twist I dud not see coming. Intense read with a shocking but very satisfying ending.

Wham, bam, wow!
This is one of those books that takes a highly talented author to pull off, and Ms. Winters has done it in style! Astrid received a free session with Armand from her principal at a private girls school. This is where the sane ends and the wild takes place both since he is much more than a simple hunky body-builder.
This is a quick read mainly because you won’t want to put it down because you are compelled to find out what could possibly happen next.
P.S. I try to never miss one of her books since they’re always a really entertaining read!

"As if in response, my phone pings as my dating app scores a match. I quickly switch over, my heart racing as I wonder if that’s my prince! Of course, the moment I see his picture I decide it’s a frog, not a prince. Perhaps a toad, based on that double-chin."

The absolute audacity for a fat woman to criticize a man for having a double chin is astronomical. As a certified Fatty™ myself, I can't get over the nerve. The entire "book" feels like it was written by a 15 year-old virgin (and reads a lot like my bad Harry Potter fan fiction on Ao3 at that age).

The Teacher and the Trainer is the first book in the Curvy for Him series and it is must read! Armand and Astrid are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The attractions was strong and their chemistry generated lots of sparks. The storyline was engaging and a short good read and offers a solid amount of drama, suspence and emotional turmoil as this couples relationship evolves into more than they ever imagined.

A short novella with a nice theme. It is well written with a nice storyline and plot. I like it is written in dual POV because that gives more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters to the reader. Characters well described and they develop nicely. I would have liked her to stand more up for herself and not be so naive. But that the characters are not the usual powercouple was nice.
A story where the chemistry flows well of the pages and it caught me from start to finish bacause of the drama that is mixed into the story.
Recommendable.

Oh my! Lock the doors. Switch off the phones and close the curtains. Settle yourself down and get comfy as you in for one heck of a steamy ride with this latest offering from Annabelle Winters. It might be wise to switch on your air con and fans to MAX COOL as when these two meet it is sizzling fireworks going off. She can't believe the way he makes her feel, except she knows that she is his. A great fun, fast paced read full of steam heat.
