the Huffington Foundation Endowed Chair at the Graduate College of Social Work. She
also holds the position of visiting professor in management at The University of Texas at
Austin McCombs School of Business.
Brené has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and
empathy. She is the author of six #1 New York Times bestsellers and is the host of two
award-winning podcasts, Unlocking Us and Dare to Lead.

1) being vulnerable is a must when putting yourself out there to achieve success
2) willingness to own and engage with our vulnerability determines depth of our courage and clarity of purpose
3) men live under pressure: do not be perceived as weak
4) who we are and how we engage with the world are much stronger predictors of how our children will do than what we know about parenting

Dare to Lead as an audiobook was great. Brene Brown is easy to listen to and her work is full of thought provoking concepts for self-empowerment and understanding leadership skill development and use.
