Published twice a year by Vancouver's Kootenay School of Writing, Raddle Moon is a leading journal of modern and experimental poetry and poetics. Number 16 is a special issue devoted to the work of contemporary French poets, and includes work by Sandra Moussempes, who in 1996 became the youngest winner of the Prix Medici (translated by Lee Anne Brown), Sebastien Smirou (translated by GovernorGeneral's Award winner Erin Mour), Sabine Macher (Dodie Bellamy), The March Hare (Sianne Ngai), and others.

22 New (to North America) French Writers. Even now most of these are still new to me - the exceptions being Sabine Macher, Sandra Moussempès, Sébastien Smirou, Michelle Grangaud, Christoph Tarkos, and Oscarine Bosquet. Although the work or the translator was new to me in each case.

For the most part those were my favourites - in particular Smirou translated by Erin Mouré and Bosquet by Michael Palmer.

Of the others The March Hare was great. Albane Prouvost, Cécile Dubois and Isabelle Garo also stood out.
