Lucas is in need of an image consultant he is about to inherit a multi-billion dollar oil empire left to him by his absent father, who was too busy with his real family to ever bother with Lucas & his mom except to send money. When Lucas’ father & his entire family die in an unexpected plane crash he is told that he will inherit his father’s oil business as long as the Board Members approve of him at their July 1st meeting. Lucas’ new lawyer hires Alexis Kincaid to handle getting his image out & polishing the Texan yokel into a presentable businessman for the Board. Alexis is up to the task but she is keeping things from her past that she would like to be kept buried. Unfortunately, Lucas is unable to stay out of the spot light & finds himself attracting media attention that focus not only on him but Alexis too. Causing problems for Alexis that brings up painful memories she would rather not remember. She still works hard to help Lucas & introduces him to an exclusive group of men who have a special book club. This book club becomes a way for Lucas to network & meet other extremely wealthy men in NYC. All the while Lucas & Alexis grow closer & become intimate but when it appears Lucas may not need Alexis for image control anymore she begins to panic because of her financial situation. Will Alexis sabotage her relationship with Lucas? Will Lucas fight to keep Alexis? What will happen when the Board meets?

Nikky Kaye delivers another great short story with a hot hunky take no prisoners alpha male & a sassy smart woman. They both have troubled pasts & have to work hard to put those hurts behind them but it isn't easy. It is a story about learning that money isn't the answer to all that is needed (though it helps pay the bills). That it is ok to let someone take care of you & it doesn't have to mean financially. The idea that this is a series about the book club has me glad that there is another story just around the corner..... yeah!

Thirty-something Lucas Knox suddenly finds himself a billionaire, heir to his father's oil empire on his demise after a plane crash. The trouble is Lucas was the bastard offspring of his father and didn't grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was more comfortable in worn jeans and boots, speaking his mind and throwing punches, than dressing in suits and possessing the wherewithal to win over the board of directors of the company he was due to inherit. Enter Alexis, a woman who was forced to become PR savvy after her life took a few wrong turns and she was catapulted into the spotlight. She's taken on to groom Lucas into the kind of guy who'd be taken seriously, all the while the simmering sexual tension between them is growing.
This is my third or fourth read by Kaye, and, as ever, she takes her readers on an enjoyable ride with an effortless humour and style that I really enjoy. It took me a few beats to get into the story, the first chapter had me reading bits twice to try and get my head around who was who and what was happening, but then the story moved on fast taking me with it. This was a short story, longer than a novella, but shorter than a full-length novel, and I wished it had been expanded on into a full-length book, as there was enough about each of the leads pasts to do that without dragging it out for the sake of it. As the book was so quick to read, the relationship, and Lucas's transformation, happened so fast that I didn't feel their connection - I'd have preferred more detail and pages to expand on it all.
Looking forward to the next book in the series, which I assume will be a similar length, though I'm really keen to see what Kaye can do with a full length novel too. For me to rate a book a five star, I need the feels. This has to be my favourite of Kaye's covers by far, eye-catching and hot!

I am a great fan of this author's writing so i was pleased with this new series of course and have faith that the next one will be just as intriguing. The book starts out with country boy Lucas, bastard son of Charles Knox, inheriting billions upon the death of his father in a plane crash. Now he must learn to become someone else completely, someone comfortable in the boardroom, in society and in all situations. Enter Alexis, or Lexie, sexy-Lexie, the socialite turned social media expert to give him the proper image and uses twitter, Facebook and instagram to do so. She has had a rough climb back to the top after suffering her own scandal when her dad lost his fortune and she had a sex tape release years ago but she does all this to maintain her image and to keep him in a hospice where no one knows but its all an illusion. They have chemistry and fight it every step of the way and he does not understand why he has to do things her way. She tries hard to keep him out of trouble but even that is a difficult task. All this work is leading up until the day he is to head into the boardroom m to meet with his late father's lawyers to work on terms for the billions, the company and everything else because his cousins are out to get their share too. Character development was great and flow was fast. I would have like to see more of what happened in the boardroom but still loved the book. it was a bit shorter than a normal book and i wish i had more to read, but I'm just selfish that way. i think readers will love it just as much as i did.

I'm fairly new to Nikky Kaye's work and I have to say, although this one is a good read, I really think it needed to be a bit longer! That being said, the story between Luke and Alexis is a good one and a great concept, it's just sometimes a bit of a struggle to follow the characters and their thoughts and feelings properly!

Luke is a sudden billionaire after his father unexpectedly passes away leaving him his fortune and company. Luke has been struggling for years and is a bit of a notorious 'bad boy' with some of his rough edges in need of some smoothing out. Alexis (Lexi) is now a PR guru having grown up a wild and spoilt party girl who had an unfortunate public embarrassment of her own when a sex tape was released. Together the sparks fly between them and they begin a tumultuous will they won't they affair that neither intended to become involved in!

I loved them both and at times Nikky Kaye had me laughing out loud at some of the antics involved with these two! She also had me a bit hot under the collar with some of the steamy scenes!

This one is a good, short read and is certainly worth taking the time to try it! I look forward to seeing what Nikky brings in the next instalment of the Billionaire's Book Club!

I was hooked within the first few pages. Lexi and Lukas both have their hands full with all the changes in their lives. After a major scandal tore apart Lexi's world, she's trying to rebuild and create her own image. She has been hired to project Lucas in a manner that will help him be able to take over his fathers legacy. The only thing she doesn't expect is to fall for him. After everything that happened with her father and her ex...she doesn't trust easily and she finds herself getting in too deep with Lucas.

Lucas has never had a relationship with his father. Being the illegitimate child of a billionaire, he's gone from being a backwoods Texan to a billionaire in a short matter of time after his father and that whole family dies in a plane crash. He isn't in it for the money at all, he just wants to help out families, like his and his mom, with health care issues. He hopes that by taking over the company that he'll be able to help those who need it. After meeting Lexi, the one who is suppose to get him ready to be a billionaire, he wants her, but he recognizes her right off the bat. He makes sure she understands he won't judge her by what he knows as long as she doesn't judge him by the way he looks, like a bad boy. Their time together is fun and the chemistry is amazing. When they finally come together...WOW!
Can they get past their pasts and move on together, or will her past keep her from giving in to what she is feeling? Must read to find out.

How did I miss these books by Nikky Kaye? First off, these covers POP! They are pretty and bright and just beg a reader to pick it up and give it a read. And the story itself...SO. So. SOOOOO GOOD! I read this book and LOVED it! It was sexy, it was sweet, and had a lot of good heart in it.

I really liked Lucas and Alexis. They seem so different but dang, they made a cute couple. The banter sizzled and the romance beckons. I am REALLY glad that I finally found this author and want to read ALL her books! If you like your romances sweet, dirty, sexy, and fun, you will fall hard for The Billion Heir.

I give The Billion Heir a MUST READ THIS RIGHT NOW FOUR AND A HALF SHOOTING STARS!

Will Lucas be able to fit into high society? Will Alexis' past come back to haunt her? And can these two find a way to put their issues aside and a build a future based on mutual respect and love?

Although at times The Billion Heir was a little slow and hard to follow, I enjoyed this book. I was intrigued by the plot, who doesn't love a bad boy trying to make a difference.

Lucas, despite his hardships, has a heart of gold. I especially loved that he recognized Alexis right from the start and was immediately attracted to her, but wanted to get to know the woman she was inside.

I admire Alexis' perseverance despite the obstacles that have been thrown in her path. Her love for her father, no matter his faults, is commendable. She's a strong, independent woman with big heart.

The chemistry between Lucas and Alexis is off the charts and those two really know how to make the temperature rise. They are a perfect match in and out of the bedroom.

Lucas and Alexis's connect make this book a rather entertaining read. And there are some fascinating secondary characters that I look forward to getting to know in the books to come in this series.

And Alexis, despite her past Internet scandal, worked hard to prepare the handsome client for the world of the rich and famous, including tasking him to join the all-men Billionaire Book Club. What she hadn't prepared for was to fall for her client. But Lucas showed Alexis that no wealth could compete with how he felt for her. In fact, to him, she was the only one good reason, about being a billion heir.

THE BILLION HEIR is the first standalone book under the Billionaire Book Club Series. I enjoyed this book! The plot was simple, but the dialogues were very smart and engaging. This sexy romance was a quick read and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books under this series!

I liked it. I really liked it.

It's quick,funny,short and the steam level is pretty decent too!

I absolutely love it when an author does easy and quality humor.. you know when the to and fro bickering is so in flow and doesn't feel boring.

The hero inherits some serious money and the heroine is well sort of hired to have him learn the ways.

They both argue and bitch to each other but the attraction is evident and they can't help it..so...

These two were made for each other. Her an ex rich girl and socia media star and him the hidden billionaires son. His dad dies and leaves him the company..."with conditions" of course. She's hired to help him with his image.

I love the way they interact and their chemistry. This book was completely safe, which I appreciated and I didn't have to read about a bunch of personal drama, which I also appreciate. Nikky Kaye is quickly becoming one of my favorite go to authors....yay.

I quite enjoyed this story.

The two main characters were quite interesting. Luke has suddenly come into a massive amount of money and potentially power and needs help proving that he can manage it all, in comes Lexi to help shape him into boardroom material.

She's really sharp and sassy, having had some not so good exposure on social media herself in the past shes learnt how to turn it all around. This girl can put a positive spin on any situation.

There's some really good chemistry between these two. Luke has that tough alpha exterior that we all love and Lexi doesn't give in too easily.

My only complaint with the book is that I did struggle with the first chapter, had to re-read. Luke's thoughts changed direction abit sharply a few times and I got a little confused with what he was actually going on about.

I liked how the timeline progressed, didn't feel rushed or bogged down with unnecessary fluff. Once I got through that first chapter I finished the rest in one sitting.

Great start to the series!!

I love Nikky Kaye's previous books but this one is by far my favorite of hers, I loved the chemistry between Lexi and Luke, Lexi is hired to change Luke, who recently inherited two billion dollars from his estranged father, from a bad boy to some who can impress the board of his father 's company, in the end they help each other find the best in each other!!

While I did like the characters, writing and story itself, it felt like half of it was missing, we arrive at a certain point in the story, with lots of character development, but it's just a few sentences, as readers we learn of certain events happening, feelings developing after the fact. Story would be more fulfilling if we could actually read those interactions.

Lucas has inherited a company and billions of dollars when his dad who would never claim him died. Now he needs to learn to act like he belongs in that world. Lexi is hired as a consultant to transform him. They both are fight their growing feelings but how long can they keep fighting their feelings? Lucas doesn't want to be CEO of the company but doesn't want it sold and the money turned over to charities either. Can he come up with a compromise that everyone can to? Can Lucas and Lexi make things work.?

A good little read!

We have Luke that has suddenly came into alot of money from his late father that he never got along with him.
And with the amount of money get got his lawyer thinks it will be best to have abit of a make over, so it has a certain look for the press.

Alexis has had a pretty crappy life, her dad is in a hospital being constantly looked after and money is starting to run pretty thin but when she gets Lukes job she thinks things will change for her.
Well they do just not the way she thought.

I can't wait to read the next one!

Lucas is a man who went from nothing to billions overnight and doesn't know how to get his image right to keep the company that was handed to him by his dad who was killed in a plane crash. Lexi knows all about the limelight and is hired to help Lucas with his image. I really loved the characters and the story itself but felt like some things were left out. Other than that it was a great read.

Lucas didn't want, or know how to deal with, the life he was thrust into. Being the illegitimate son of a very wealthy man , who just died in a plane crash, he is tone the lone heir to his daddy's fortune.... if Lexi can turn him from " yokel" to billionaire business-man.
It's a fast paced, short story that leads into a sweet love story.

I didn't want to put this book down. The sexiness of these two kept my attention. Lucas is a new billionaire who inherits all of his estranged father's money. Alexis's career is helping people keep their image clean from social media. Lucas needs Alexis for more than just her image. They learn things about each other and their connection is scorching hot!

This book is the beginning of a series and I cannot wait for more.

This is a fantastic fun novella that is a quick and entertaining read.
This is very well written and I must say I'm loving Nikky Kaye style of writing and I really can't wait for book 2 in the series.
I love the chemistry and sexual banter between Luke Knox and Lexi Kincade and it flowed so well you can't help but laughing and getting all steamed up at times.
The Billionaires book club sounds like it's the place to be.

Wow, another great read by Nikky Kaye. I loved this book and what a way to start a new series. Ms Kaye had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning. This book is a fun, sexy, quick read that I just could not put down. Lucas and Lexi make a great working couple that is believable and relatable. I can't wait to see what Ms Kaye has planned for the next book in this series. I highly recommend this read.
