Gamer to the rescue

Oddly written . Most of the story is Mike talking to himself about himself . He's an introverted gaming programmer who is framed for murder and solves the mystery . He then becomes a consultant for the Houston PD, moves back to Houston where he had grown up . He does have a knack for details , which he spends a lot of time discussing with himself . Numerous typos that could use work . Will look at book two , I think .

Good story

A little depressing to read about Mike's social isolation, and his low esteem. I got tired of reading now he felt sorry for himself most of the time, even though it's just a character. I found myself getting frustrated with his inability to talk to other people. I hope the character gets more confidence in himself in future stories. The author did touch a lot of shared anxieties we all have to some degree, and we can all relate to.

Really good read. I plan to follow this author. He tells the story. He tells on himself in plain English. Mike Anderson could be one of the gamers in my family. Write on brother.

I like it that this author can make a truly interesting story without the computer guy having to be some kind of jaded Johnny Awesome.

Terrible proofreading

The basic plots of the storyline were okay, but the countless number of grammatical and spelling errors within the book were so distracting that I will not be reading the other books in the series. Shame on the writer for not being proud of his work.

Riddles

It's been a long time since I found a book I couldn't put down, but I did. Mike is both charming and delightful. I can't believe I know someone like that! Can't wait to read book 2.

Terrible

I can't believe I kept reading this book. Whoever was in charge of proof-reading this book should be fired. There were so many errors it was hard to get completely into it. It f I didn't get this book so cheap I would demand my money back

Poor grammar and spelling.

One of the most poorly written books I have read. The sentence structure, grammar errors, misuse of words caused the story to be very hard to read. The plot could have been very good if a proofreader corrected the many errors.

The introverted detective

The hero didn't socialize very well. He's withdrawn around people and does a lot of thinking. He is a former video game programmer who uses those skills and talents to discern who did it. But when the chips are down he's able to act to save the day.

Proofread!

The stories were entertaining and somewhat suspenseful; however, proofreading is a must. The stories contained several grammatical errors which made for a frustrating read.

Different type of look at crime

A different perspective to look at crime through this character. May drag on a bit but still very entertaining to read.

Would have been a better book if they used a good editor. Extra words, incorrect words, poor sentences made it hard to enjoy.

Just couldn’t get into this story. I may try picking back up later but for now closing the book and returning it to the shelf.

Confusing at Times

Sometimes had trouble following the action. Also, there were many grammatical mistakes that bugged me. This book needs to be edited again.

Dependable Jack Parker

Clear writing ... Too bad the editors of these ebooks are so careless. But decent stories and satisfying endings.Shellie in Sunrise

Deadly Riddles

It was ok. Not really my kind of mystery. I skip over the parts about playing games because it was boring. I would not recommend this book

Good idea

There were too many typos for me to really enjoy the book
This was disappointing but the story line was ok.
A bit simple to read.

Poor grammar. The word confident is used several times and only once is the spelling correct. Confidant means something else. Sigh.
