Vampires, sphinxes, a love triangle, and cupcakes—where else but Magical Washington, DC?
Sarah Anderson’s dream job at the vampire night court is turning into a nightmare. Working as the court clerk used to soothe her wild compulsions. But now she’s under indictment for murdering a vampire judge, and both her job and her freedom are on the line.
Things aren’t any better on the romance front. With her vampire ex-boyfriend on the lam and her current beau siding with sphinxes against her, Sarah wonders if she’ll ever find her Happy Ever After.
Most of all, Sarah longs to find her supernatural father. Only then will her paranormal life truly make sense. Her quest becomes infinitely more complicated, though, when she’s caught between an ancient Egyptian goddess and DC’s most notorious vampire villain.
What does Sarah’s future hold—a jail cell, a lover, or an entirely new type of magic?

Mindy Klasky learned to read when her parents shoved a book in her hands and told her that she could travel anywhere in the world through stories. She never forgot that advice.
Mindy's travels took her through multiple careers, including copyright lawyer and law librarian. Mindy now writes full time. Her books fall in a number of genres -- including romantic comedies, paranormal romance, and traditional fantasy.
In her spare time, Mindy knits, quilts, and tries to tame the endless to-be-read shelf in her home library. Her husband and two cats do their best to fill the left-over minutes in her days.
Fright Court is finally back! Fans will be thrilled with this latest adventure as Sarah, already adjusting to a new boss since James has gone missing, now faces the consequences of murdering a vampire judge. This action may well cost her everything, including her freedom, unless Chris can help figure a way out. I love this series and this story was a great adventure. I hope there is another adventure for Sarah in the future.
This book is action-packed from start to finish and filled with so many twists and turns that keeps the reader guessing. I’ve really enjoyed this book and truly savored each page and I’m really sad it’s the end of this series. Well done Mindy!
Sarah Anderson is still working for the night courts but her life is about to go through a lot of changes. James has disappeared since Sarah killed Judge Robert Dubois. Warrants, betrayal, unbelievable plot twists. Chris will help but up to a point he turns his back on her. James comes back but he is up to something and is not sharing the information. This is an excellent mystery with romance and I am not surprised at what happens in the end. We have bits of humor which adds to the story but in the end the biggest surprises happen to Sarah.
I’m confused. She calls James her ex and alludes to being sexually actively with him.... did I completely miss that in the two precious books? All I seem to remember was her pining after him and him spending his daytime hours at her place once or twice, but suddenly he knows all about her bedroom?
Only read this series because I was in a reading slump and had bought the trilogy when it was on sale years ago. Don’t waste your time. Lots of typos and grammatical errors. Not only in this one but the whole series. Decent story idea with pretty bad execution.
You don't have to be a paranormal fan to enjoy this series. Stories are strangely believable. I can't explain the obsession with each book. Oh! Maybe I'm not human. Good for thought
Sarah Anderson is on the run after the events of the previous book. She’s also learning more about her mystery sphinx heritage. Chris can’t decide if he wants to be loyal to Sarah or the Den, and James is nowhere to be found
This might have been my favorite of the three. We finally find out about Sarah’s “father,” and she finally appears to make a choice between James and Chris. Although, if there ever is a fourth book, I could see her continuing to waffle (which is what makes it fun!) Also, the events at the end of the book cross over to the Vampire Ward series, which is always nice to see.
