A gift to me. there’s hope where there was none before. But this isn’t about winning or losing. This is about a victory of the soul. That’s the only thing that will matter in the end. The rest is just words. HOLY PUCK, BATMAN!!! WHAT A PUCKING HEART-WRENCHING, LUST-INDUCING, HEART-MELTING, TEAR-JERKING, CAN'T-PUT-DOWN-IF-MY-HOUSE-WAS-ON-FIRE, PAGE-TURNING FAN-PUCKING-TASTIC BOOK AND THEN SOME!! Having been half in love with Puck from the first I met him in Noose & Rose’s books, I had to almost psych myself up to read this book, thinking that there is no way that Marata Eros could possibly come even close to writing the story that I felt Puck should have..and I am ashamed at myself for that because I should - I DO- know better!! Marata ABSO-PUCKING-LUTELY blew me away with just how PHENOMENALLY SPUCKTACULAR this book is!! She TOTALLY gave Puck both the book he deserved and the “Old Lady” he needed! For that matter, she also gave Temp the book and guy she both needed and deserved, too! Marata’s compelling storytelling, real characters, flaws & all, has me COMPLETELY invested in this Road Kill MC series in every way possible, which is something that NO author has been able to do before! “Biker” books are NOT my usual choice to read, in fact, the ONLY ones I have ever read are her books. And now I am so connected, so in love with all of the Bad Boys & their “property” that I have read the books more than a few times! Who doesn’t love a Bad Boy who does bad things for all of the right reasons!?
Loved it. Fabulous story. Two wounded souls who have both suffered at the hands of different monsters. Can these two help each other to heal? The usual mayhem by the the MC club but very satisfactory finish. Great addition to this series. Bring on the next one.
3.5 but not rounding up. The writing was great and the story was fast paced without being overly rushed.
MFC is social worker and meets the MMC who is part of a MC and an ex cop when she was handling the case of placing his much younger half brother. They had a huge connection but after she is finished the case he never reaches out to her instead choosing to fuck the club girls trying to forget her so strike one on why I reduced my rating. I really dislike when authors have the MMC fuck others after meeting MFC having feelings for her in an attempt to forget her. I don’t care who the other women are club girls or not there is something disgusting about a guy using the girl in that way. No woman deserves to be used in that way. It also reduces my opinion of the MMC that he has no problems using them in that manner.
Anyway they reconnect when he is at her work building and sees that she has been hurt they have coffee she tells him she is interested he blows her off. She is hurt and is at her friend’s house and is attacked again but the MMC Puck saves her.
Long story short he comes back to see her the next day and they have sex with NO condom. Strike two for reduction. She heard from her friend that he is a man whore and goes through the club girls like water. She does not ask about STI testing or protection just haves unprotected sex with him. Like you know the risk she is a smart 30 year old professional and she does not think about either of these things.
Third strike is she is a virgin not inexperienced but still a 30 year old virgin. The author tries to explain it away because of trauma caused by her being anal raped on her first home visit years prior. She had done other sexual things since that and was still working in the field and was strong and a fighter but you want to sell that she never went there before Puck it just did not come across as believable but gave the author the whole overused virgin with the male slut troop.
I did like that Puck was in therapy and was working through is own abuse rape by his father. I did not believe some of the things the therapist said or her actions they were not what a real life therapist would do or say.
Also, temp MFC and her bestie are kidnapped because there is an underlying storyline of a forced prostitution ring that Temp had unknowingly got involved with on her last job where she was hurt. She is of course pregnant and knows already just weeks after sex with Puck. She is drugged and the dude who hurt her fingers her and goes down on her and is planning on raping her but is interrupted by the boss. This trauma is not really discussed after.
Anyway, Puck and the MC save her and her friend. There is another attempted kidnapping Temp shoots and kills someone and puck shows up again. They work through their issues and get married. Did not like the fact that she never brought up all the women and his rep and they never talked about STI’s. It was really irresponsible of the author.
The main idea of the story was good but as noted in my strikes it kept this book from being a 4.5-5 star because of it.

I couldn't start this book fast enough, because of the way that the previous book ended... Oh lord... I needed more from these two. Marata Eros has created an MC series that I can't get enough of. Each book is special and made me more addicted to reading them all. I'm almost done and a little bit sad because of it. Her writing is raw and wild, sweet and intense, hard and dark, with a touch of hotness into the mix. Puck is the seventh book from the Road Kill MC series and explores the lives of Puck and Temp. Guys, all books are standalone, but I advise you to read them all in order. If you don't want to, you must read Viper first and only then this book. Some events happen with the new characters from this new book, that you must understand. Puck is a former Cop. After being undercover for 3 years he knew that he needed to retire. His childhood wasn't easy, but the best part of it is his sister. The nightmares keep haunting him and the darkness is swallowing him. Some events made him close up and denying relationships at all costs until Temp. Temp is a social worker, a job that she invested her entire life in. When delivering a boy to his new family she meets the enigmatic Puck. Sparks fly and... One new case takes her to Puck again and... Jesus... What a book. Loved it so much. Amazing plot, well written, super engaging, and intense. Each chapter was even more addictive than the latest and I couldn't stop reading it. I really couldn't. The pain these characters endured, the nightmares... It was hard to read but it's something that's not fiction. It happens and we need to fight against it. The chemistry these two shared was super intense and I loved everything I read. It was an amazing guy to keep having news from the other characters from this series. I love this MC family. Guys... The hot scenes are to die for... Jeez. There were parts of this book that I had to stop reading because I was a nerve rack. So many emotions, so many battles... It was perfect. Another amazing book Marata. Loved it. Now, let's start the next book.
I have been waiting on Puck feels like for ever and here he is!!! O M G!!!!!!!!!! Was not disappointed at all this was 3000% more than I even expected. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
This was a beautiful, emotional, action packed read that Im still going over it in my head - Highlight reel style.
Puck is torn and shredded but has strength that just bursts through. I love Puck and although my love for him goes unrequited Temp is by far a worthy choice. Temp is strong willed and kickass knows what’s she wants and is straight forward.
Their complete and utter soul connection is evident from fist meeting and just develops speedily through out the pages. When the past bleeds through their connection only grows stronger. BEAUTIFUL!!!
Marata Eros’s aptitude for a sick as fk villains has again come about and that a$$hole needs his month Fkd up pronto!!
I loved this story sooo much and so want to re-read ASAP!!! I love the utter unpredictability to this series and their individual characters I cannot wait for more!!!
I loved the cameos from past editions Noose, Viper, Snare, Lariat, Wring and Storm. I swear the more I read of Noose in the series the more I grow to love him, that man is hilarious and all out guru.
All up an INCREDIBLE addition to the Road Kill MC series and an astounding addition to so many more much loved characters form the world Marata Eros creates. I cannot wait for Storm, that Fkr is gonna get hit upside the head a few times I just know it!!!!!
Wow! This was one heck of a read. I was blown away by the very poignant and raw stories behind both leads. Puck is a former cop turned Road Kill brother. He is also the biological brother of Candi, his club president's old lady. Puck has been part of this series for some time now. In past books he was the under cover cop playing a Chaos MC brother so he could bring down evil vicious prostitution rings. Now that he has left the police force, he decides to become a real MC brother and joins Road Kill. We don't witness the actual process of how he patches in, we just know that now he a brother in his brother-in-law's club. Puck wants to be live the MC life- bikes and sweet butts- nothing more. He keeps his life simple and away from forging meaningful relationships with women. That is until Temp- short for her last name Temperance. Temp is a social worker that we meet at the end of the previous book. She is the one that brings home Candi's and Puck's half brother. Something strikes a chord with Puck when he meets Temp and he cannot quite get Temp out of his mind. There is nothing insta about Puck and Temp- both work at the attraction they feel, sometimes trying to go against it and sometimes trying to go with it. Like prior stories, there is an evil force that is threatening Temp and Puck like any Alpha male will do everything and anything to make sure his old lady does not come to any harm. Puck and Temp have dark pasts that they must overcome so that they can fully enjoy their blossoming relationship.
I've been waiting for Puck's story because I knew it was going to be intense and painful to read. I had no idea Temp's story would be as dark. Each of them has a secret that has tendrils so deep that they don't believe they could find any kind of joy in their lives. As they continue to be drawn to each other and push each other away at the same time, something sinister lurks just outside their periphery, something that wants Temp. And when it catches up to them, it could drive her to a place not even Puck can reach.
I love the darkness in these stories, the ugliness the sits deep inside each of these men's pasts. It's something they each work to get past but find themselves needing to dig into in order to survive. Each of these club members' lives reaches a new profound abyss that we forget is part of the world as we know it. There are truths in these stories, and I think that's why they break me so much when I read them. Puck's story was so frightening that only Temp could be the one to sooth that savage beast. And just when I thought an end was near, the author would add a new twist that pulled me back in. She does it to me every time, and I don't regret one single second of it. As is always the case, I am looking forward to the next story in this series.
So I was really excited to read Pucks book, especially after the teaser in the previous book. Sadly I was a little disappointed. I feel like this author went from kinda fluffy barely any meat in a story to way too much psycho analyzing things. And just some of the strange scenarios seem too forced. Temp gets the crap beat out of her and somehow stumbles upon a prostitution ring, and keeps alluding to it being an inside job that never really goes anywhere. I just felt like there was too much forced drama. She knows about pucks abuse but gets mad that he finds out hers, and magically they have the same abuse in their history. Then some of the other woman randomly get kidnapped but the big deal is the guy sucks milk out of roses boobs and gets off on that. Just random. I just felt like big made up drama then huger drama and all these little foreshadowing thrown in but then ends up being resolved in like 5 minutes.

4.5 stars. 2nd favorite of the series so far. Puck and Temp are a sweet love story that we get a peek at at the end of the previous book. Puck and Yemp having a shared trauma is sad and healing for them both. Then the action with the wives was a page turner. Noose and Rose were the first of the series and my least favorite, but as the series goes on, every book brings Noose into a better light, and I love him more every book. The second half is the beginning of Storm and Kendra. I'm excited to see where this goes. There is so much about Storm we don't know and he is displayed as the not worst bad guy. He hates woman and is rich and careless... until Kendra. Looking forward to understanding him better and seeing a softer side to his extreme hardness.
Temp is a social worker with a heart. She wants every kid to have a loving family. Even after her first case turned into a disaster. But she was able to get past it. And much more. Having a reputation for being able to take care of herself she stumbles onto something she cant get past. Puck is a ex cop. Having been undercover for years he is just trying to get his life back. After his past comes back to haunt him. I am liking this series. I just think the author may need a character bible. One character when from a viking with long white hair to dark hair from the last book to this one.
Oh, I love this series and this story didn t disappoint. Puck, the tortured soul and the woman who, even with her own demons, can help him. A few unexpected twists along the way too. Can't wait for the next one. If you're new to these books, I would suggest you read from the beginning so you can better understand the other characters. A great read.
Puck and Temp are meant to be together, but it takes awhile before either one of them admits it. Puck takes care of business while dealing with his own demons. Temp tries to save as many foster children as she can even at her own risk. These two come back together in an explosion of sparks everytime they meet. Absolutely adored the book.
It was a good story but the quick to love and have a HEA is just not my thing. Storyline was good. Liked how every member of the MC seemed to take place in this book. Only problem is that half of the book is about everyone else. That doesn’t leave a lot for the main characters
There was just something about Puck from the moment he first appeared in this series! Add in everything that came out about him in Vipers story and I was hooked on him! I love that he is paired up with someone with as much and similar baggage as he has! I love watching as he gets his HEA!
This book is a little more graphic and violent compared to the previous ones in the series. Could be a trigger for some. I’m glad that ouch found his HEA. He went through so much when he was younger and he meets his match with Temp.
I’m really looking forward to reading bc Storm’s book next!
And is she my new hero. Jusy loved this book. The guys took care of the rubbish. And all is well in the world of Temper and Puck. All the women and babies are safe, but it seems the next book is gonna have some more drama involved. Defi itely recommend this book. Well done
A heart wrenching, raw, dark and gritty ride to go on. Goodness! Another fantastic addition to an already amazing series. I cannot get enough of the Road Kill MC. Puck and Temp are two people who were meant to meet, their both fighting demons but with one another they find solace. I enjoyed every single moment of this thrilling story.
NEVER DISAPPOINTING.Love this series. I have read every MC story. They are all human and very personable. They all have unique personalities. But love Puck. Can hardly wait for the next book🏍!
This book was in the zone from start to finish, there was never a dull moment. I loved the fact that they were both trying to work through their issues. The only thing I would have like to have known was WHO the bad guys was. Did he have some kind of connection to Temp?
We learned about Puck's abusive background in the previous book ( Viper # 6 ). Violence and passion surround them in this tale, along with villains, pain, danger, drugs, emotional upheaval, retribution and the sex trade.
Is dealing with his past with therapy but fall for Temp a social worker. She loves helping people but her latest case will draw her into danger . But Puck and the club will deal with it.
I was so excited for pick. Unfortunately it seemed his and temp’s book was overtaken by Kendra and storm. I don’t feel like puck and temp really got their full story told. Disappointing...
