Lemmi and her friends are about to do something truly shocking. Greer in particular is about to break out of her shell. While Deacon is out of town, she decides she wants to try on wedding dresses. Of course, the cute wedding dress shop has more of a history than meets the eye. The original owner died in a suspicious accident, and Lemmi decides to investigate what might be a case of murder. On top of that, trouble is moving ever more quickly toward Mintwood in the form of dark ghosts. Can the Witch of Mintwood and her friends stop the invasion in time? The cost will be surprising, and very very high.
Hello! I'm the author of the Witch Way to Mintwood series and the Spooky Business series! I live in New England and love it. I survive the winter by layering, good-natured complaining, and more layering. In case you were wondering. Hearing from readers is always lovely, so come visit me here:
I decided to read the whole series so far up to this point before giving a review. I was hoping as it went along for some improvement on Lemmie's part in her witch craft practices. It seems she takes things in a nonchalant aft towards her duties and beliefs of what's more import to her than practicing to protect her town. Also why did it take her so long to figure out that her grandmother was murdered? She thought it in the first book even when she mentioned it to another witch they thought it at strange her ghost hadn't been seen. When her ghost came it even said I murdered. Is this girl slow or just have selective hearing? When read books like these, which are my favorite, I expect to see improvement in their craft with each h book but it taken the thirteenth book for her to get series enough to go gungho mother seriousness of this situation and her friend getting hurt. Please let the next one be better and seriously let Liam who is a friend in on it too, it not fair to him at all.
This book feels as if the series is coming full circle and much of series plot has been revealed. The girls are more settled into their relationships. This book seems to be setting up the story for the next book in this series but still very much a wonderful book. I love these characters and how loyal they are to each other. It's nice to read a book with strong female leads with significant others that are supportive. Each book in this series is so unique that they never feeling boring with cookie cutter plots. Each is different and builds the series plot but never feels like the book didn't have a conclusive ending. Loved it!
I really enjoy this series and always look forward to the next book. The only thing i didn't enjoy about this one were editing errors. There were times i had to re-read a sentence to make sense of it. Other than that it was very good and makes you look forward to the next book.
This whole series of Witch of Longwood turned out to be a good read. I was surprised since it changed Jason's (manager of Country Club) to Mark. A great read all the same. Glad I kept reading the books. I cannot wait for book 14.
The girls were coasting along when a marriage proposal brought joy and upset. Add in a two year old murder mystery and you have a reason to keep going. Even with dark ghosts you solve one mystery before you get angry enough to take things into your own hands.
