WARNING: Due to A LOT of steamy scenes and adult language 18+ Only!
The Italian Heir is more like a vacation romance story. Where you are in Italy and met a handsome stranger. I think Miss Stevens wrote the story while vacationing in Italy.
I am not really liking this book. Caise the plot is back and forth zoomingbin 1 plot. The Italy part is too long and finally I just bored.
The heroine of this book worked my very last nerve. Almost to the point of wanting to stop reading this book altogether. Why keep asking questions that are none of your business !!! If I was the H , I would have took her back or sent her back early. She kept saying it was non of her business, but still kept asking the same annoying questions she knew upset him. Enough already!!!
At 55% into this awful audiobook, the heroine claims she's a centrist on the whole "pro choice" debate.
No idea who was debating her, but that came out of nowhere and dried me up so fast.
And i said awful audiobook because the characters have zero chemistry, the story is not remotely interesting, and the male narrator has no concept of a sound barrier and was screaming all of his parts.
Imagine someone screaming a sex scene at you...
But what sealed the rating was the heroine telling us how wishy washy she is about female reproductive rights... um, okay...
Not something i necessarily needed to know, and you're certainly not winning any favor from me by saying this...
Lmao came outta nowhere, and I was unable to ignore it.
When I read the synopsis for The Italian Heir I was really excited to jump into the story. From the first page I was invested in Violet and Lorenzo’s journey. It wasn’t love at first sight but it was definitely the beginning of something bigger than anything they could have dreamed of. The story starts off great and I really enjoyed theses two getting two know each other but along the way it started to drag just a little which made me put it down for a bit, but once it picked back up I was in to the very end. There is a good deal of drama interfering with the couples road to happy ever after with jealous and vindictive exes and envious siblings which made the story that much more enjoyable. Overall this was a great read and since this was my first book from the author she has gained a new fan and I can’t wait to see what I can delve into next from her booklist.
This author has written better. A female who decides that she wants to have a week of fun sex without finding out about the person, then spends said week imposing personal issues, like being mad because he did not tell about his ex wife etc, is a whiner and totally disingenuous. The author spends approximately 70 percent of this book on this week of fun, that does nothing to endure either characters. Then there is the issue of the pregnancy..The H decided that he did not want a child and even though this an oops pregnancy, the h desire to connect is disingenuous at best. Not even the smexing made this book enjoyable. Women authors need to do better job of empowering women instead of this type of book that seems to reinforce the stereotypes. Wasted time.
The Italian Heir is a beautiful, well written love story. Lorenzo and Violet have great chemistry and I rooted for their relationship from the gelato start. The writing is perfect and I loved the way the author describes the island and the characters. This is a definite 5-star read and I recommend this book to everyone over the age of 18. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I have to say that I was so looking forward to reading "The Italian Heir". From the moment they saw each other, the chemistry just leap off the pages. After a break up with he ex, Violet best friend takes her to iItaly to get away and have some fun.
After meeting Lorenzo he ask her away to the beautiful Panarea island. Now picture this man, he is tall, dark and handsome as has the most beautiful eyes. One week full of pleasure, and at th and of the week neither is ready for it to end, but neither was willing to admit it.
You will have to read the book to find out more.

Overall, a disappointing book. Despite a delay in the actual sex itself, the beginning of the book seemed almost entirely focused on sex. The description mentioned a lot of steamy sex. I don't mind if it supports the story. But otherwise it gets in the way. Even when I read proper erotica, I want it to support the story, not just be there for the sake of being there. And it really wasn't that steamy. I found myself skipping over it. I found myself skipping over a lot of the book.
The opening scene is highly interesting. I only forced myself to on to find out what happened to the mother. It was rather disappointing when you actually find out what happened. It seemed like it was going to be a whole lot bigger. And I don't exactly understand why it was a big secret that Lurenzo didn't want children. It doesn't seem like something that was a big deal. So why couldn't he just tell Violet that was the reason his marriage didn't work out. It isn't uncommon. And it didn't seem like something that would be an issue with a vacation affair that was only going to last a week anyway.
The writing isn't bad, it is just the story itself that is a disappointing.
.5 stars. this was not your average love at first sight. the story had a slow build. It took a while to get going but it turned out good in the end. violet and Lorenzo have a lot of chemistry. Even with the slow start I wanted to see how it all played out. Suspense, angst and sexy scenes all make this an interesting read,
One split Gelato, one stolen purse and one handsome Italian..............what is a woman to do???
The Italian Heir is the first book that I have read by Camilla Stevens so I was not sure what to expect. But the description of the story looked interesting to me and I was right to go with my feeling. I really liked this story of an American woman on vacation in Italy who meets a wealthy Italian businessman.
Both Violet and Lorenzo are dealing with things from past relationships. She was just dumped by her boyfriend and her girlfriend Camilla persuades her to go to Italy for a vacation before she starts a new job as graphic designer. She agrees and the two of them have fun. One day while Violet is out on her own she has her purse grabbed by a thief on a scooter. Lorenzo puts out an arm and is able to save the purse.
He and Violet are instantly attracted to each other. So much so that he invites her to come to the island of Panarea to his family estate for a week. Who can say not to a tall, dark and very handsome Italian man.............not Violet. So off she goes with Lorenzo for a week of neither of them are ready to have end. But at the same time neither of them are able to admit that they have feelings for the other. However, they may have to admit many things to each other after an unexpected surprise happens. How they each deal with this and how the story unfolds is wonderfully written by Camilla. There are many secrets revealed and twists to the story of Violet and Lorenzo on the way to their HEA.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Meh. This story seemed way too long for the very little that happened in it. Add in the fact that I didn't love the audiobook narration, and it was a waste of a read for me.
I was disappointed. This is a meandering story that takes forever to get to the point. There were way too many details that were not integral to the plot and didn't add anything to the story.
This was a really nice and fun romance to read. I absolutely loved how this couple meets. Lorenzo notices Violet by chance by observing how she was eating gelatto on the streets of Naples. He noticed the way she enjoyed every bite and wasn't afraid (or maybe not even aware) of how she was expressing this without a care in the world. This and another unfortunate event where he gets to play hero is how these two become acquainted. I love how their story evolves from some fun no strings attached week on an Italian island to something much deeper. It didn't feel rushed at all because you, as the reader, see that the characters had an almost spiritual connection from the start. Yes, sexual and physical attraction was there, but there is something you feel when you look into someone eye's that you have a spiritual connection with them that's sort of inexpiable. I know because it's happened to me! It doesn't even have to be romantic, necessarily. Anyway, I liked how this story also ties in family relationships and how both characters have a shared bond because of their shared profound losses at a young age. Anyway, you will enjoy Violet and Lorenzo's story. I sure did. First book I've read by this author, so I'm looking forward to reading more of her stuff.
This is only the second book I've read by Camilla Stevens, but it will not be my last. I really like reading romance novels that have the proverbial happily ever after ending, which this one does, but the journey to get to that HEA is a treat. This novel took me through a bunch of my feelings. At times, I laughed out loud, I got teary-eyed and I definitely felt some visceral reactions to the main male character, Lorenzo. You know it's a good and compelling story when you start talking back to the book characters. This author's descriptions of the geographic locations, the people and the environment were so thorough that it evoked a sense of longing in me to see these places and experience some of the food and activities she described. This book had me Google'ing to see if Panarea was a real island and wondering how I could get myself there. Do yourself a favor and read this book. You will get lost in the warmth and romance of it all...and the story has a healthy dose of good, hot sex too!
This was such a wonderful fairytale story and makes one wonder if this could really happened, as such because I will on the first flight out to Italy, enjoy a gelato and look out for your own Lorenzo. Lorenzo was the epitome it alien stallion, alpha, rich boss man, and a stand up guy. He was a true leader Violet was just too sweet. Although she was no weltering flower, but she was sensitive, compassionate and very deserving of a love like this one. The whole gang in this book was super nice to read about. Starting from Panaera, Claudia, Eno, Lucca, Stefano and Pamela. Now Carina is ok, but no much sympathy. Matteo should have rot in his demise as well as Marcella. But all ends well with giving this book, if possible more than a 5 stars. Wonderful story... Wonder who is next?
Wonderful Italian billionaire romance. Hot Italian bank CEO Lorenzo has pressing family issues but rescues Violet's purse from a theif. They have instant chemistry so he offers her a week's vacation of a lifetime. Lorenzo is a closed off dominant and has a eschewed outlook on relationship due to his family and past. The characters are so in tune to one another and Violet shows she's not the wilting flower. I enjoy alpha men but also strong women that stand up to and beside them. I received a complementary copy of this book via Hidden Gems and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Stevens.
Violet and Lorenzo meet and have an instant connection that they take further. Violet has just been dumped by her boyfriend and Lorenzo doesn’t do well with family commitment due to his own upbringing. This is a steamy book and the two have a wonderful week together doing whatever they want. This has a lot of story to go along with the lots of steam, an enjoyable read. This simple snatch and grab turned into a let me keep you situation. Lorenzo saves Violet's bag/purse from thieves when they tried to make a quick get away. This accidental meeting, leads Lorenzo into feeling an instant pull towards Violet. So much so that he invites her to stay with him on a paradise island to accompany him to a couple of events. Violet too feels this pull towards Lorenzo and suffering from a rebound reaction agrees to extend her stay in Italy. Both Lorenzo and Violet soon realise that their feelings about this 'No Strings' arrangement means more to both of them but they remain in denial. There are others on the outside who intend to have the Lorenzo and Violet relationship develop no further as intended. Will Lorenzo and Violet see through them or will they let pass hurts and feelings get in the way?

Violet is the one treasure that Lorenzo did not know he could not have...not because she was someone else's treasure...or she was a lost treasure....he just did not know she was his treasure to possess and keep for as long as they live....she was his for the taking....ready and willing..but here's the thing....ultra rich alphas are there own worst enemies....he will loose the one thing that makes his heart sing....calms his fears..soothe his savage beast....and he let her slip away......
I received an ARC of this book and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Lorenzo and Violet were the perfect couple. I loved how Violet stood up to Lorenzo and didn't let his alpha ways diminish her. She was the his complete match in every way. Their chemistry in and out of the bedroom was explosive!! Camilla Stevens did a wonderful job transporting readers to Italy. I felt like I was on the trip. You know a book is amazing when you are sad to see the story end. I encourage everyone to pick up their copy asap. Now I'm off to reread this story for a second time

This book was read as an ARC and it was so good I couldn't help but give 5 stars. The story of Lorenzo and Violet was beautiful and the author did a perfect job of creating good backgrounds. The detail of his family and the bank was perfect. Him not wanting an heir because of what he thought happened and then finding out what happened was great. Carina and Matteo needed to be taken out by hitmen, they were annoying. Not giving out any more info but this is a for sure winner and deserves to be praised!!!

I taught business writing for years before my retirement. Business writing focuses on the mechanics and skills of writing as much as the content.
Unfortunately, many authors of these lovely stories seem to have issues with getting the “mechanics” just right. For someone like me, that often makes reading what could otherwise be a good story very difficult. I find that I proofread rather than actually read and wonder why they don’t have a good editor or (at the very least) run the story through Grammarly.
There were no such issues with this book. Not only were the mechanics nearly flawless, but the story was enchanting as well. Because the writing was so good, I was able to allow myself to become a part of any woman’s fantasy – I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend a week in an island with a gorgeous Italian man? – and fully enjoyed the characters. I found Violet’s emotional innocence and sassiness very relatable (long story), and even if I didn’t already know it had an HEA ending, knew that Lorenzo was a goner.
One of the best authors in this, my favorite genre.
Oh yes. You’ll want at least one glass of red wine, preferably Chianti Classico, with this story. And antipasto. Trust me.
I absolutely loved this book. The chemistry between Lorenzo and Violet was off the charts. I like how the story seemed believable and how Lorenzo learned to trust her. Violet stood her ground which I liked and she embraced the spontaneity of the entire trip. I really felt for Lorenzo and even Matteo at times. Overall this book was amazing.

Loved the author's writing style. This is partially why I ended up finishing the book...A few cons:
- This is a personal preference, but it irked me that the author didn't go into detail regarding the physical appearance of the main characters. Again, personal preference, I like these types of things to be extremely descriptive. - There was some cute dialogue between Violet and Lorenzo throughout the week-long trip but I still couldn't for the life of me find any chemistry beyond it being surface level due to them essentially just hooking up. I found it odd how they miraculously fell in love during this short trip because again, nothing spectacular occurred to ignite these feelings of love between the two. - The beginning and middle of the book started well, but the pregnancy was too predictable and it kind of knocked the book from a four-star rating down to a three. It seemed very rushed and as if the author didn't know how to reunite the two characters so she just added a shock factor that didn't execute well for me. Ended up skimming through the majority of the ending. - I also didn't care for Lorenzo's family drama storyline.
I loved this story about a wealthy Italian businessman who meets an American graphic designer while she is on vacation in Italy.
Each carrying their own past relationship baggage and expectations, mutually agree to spend one fun week together, no strings, no commitment, just pleasure. They find it is much more than either bargained for, but they never share that with each other.
A surprising twist of events leaves them connected in a way neither considered. It proves difficult for them to reunite and to possibly explore what might be the best thing to happen to either one of them.
Family discord doesn't begin to describe the deception that Lorenzo's brother perpetrates upon him. Can't say more as I don't want to give the plot away.
I thought the book was slightly drawn out. It could have been more succinct, however, it doesn't necessarily detract from the story.
Overall a good, engaging story that will keep you reading until the very end.
I really enjoyed this one. Violet and Lorenzo was fun to learn about. I was super disappointed in Matteo. Violets dad was such a cool dude. Claudia is a wild and crazy friend and her husband is super sweet
I read the Italian Heir from beginning to end and couldn't put it down. Camilla Stevens has done a fantastic job bringing the scenery of Panarea to life. I so wanted to be Violet. After a bad break up, she is in Italy on holiday when she meets Lorenzo. He is a tall, dark, handsome, extremely rich, blue eyed Italian. (swoon). Lorenzo promises her one week. One week filled with pleasure, no rules, no regrets. The only problem is they both have a hard time letting go when the week is over. Lorenzo had a childhood filled with heartbreak due to a domineering father and because of this, he has issues with commitment and family. They are both very strong characters and I loved their story.
