Atsushi Ōkubo ( 大久保篤), also romanized as Atsushi Ohkubo, is a Japanese manga author and fantasy artist known for his work on the manga series Soul Eater, which has been adapted into an anime. Okubo worked as an assistant under Rando Ayamine, on the manga series Get Backers. He also created artwork for various cards for the Lord of Vermillion game.
Atsushi Ōkubo was not a model student and was more attracted to drawing than to learning. At the age of 20, after finishing studies at a manga school where he met Rando Ayamine, the author of Get Backers, he became Rando Ayamine's assistant for two years. Finally, he won a competition at Square Enix's Gangan magazine with his first manga series B.Ichi and it was published for four volumes. After the end of his last manga, he created Soul Eater, still for Square Enix's Gangan magazine, which brought him worldwide success.
The Military decides to help with the matters because the General's son almost died. The only condition is for Maki to return to the military. Oh, I forgot to tell you, Maki is the daughter of the General. The beginning of the chapter is a like filler where we learn more about Oze family. There is also the part with Tamaki "fighting" Assault. I don't know why people are super angry about Tamaki's lewd syndrome thing. Most of the series have something similar to this but I have never seen people complaining about it this much. It is not always funny but I don't really care about it either. The Military guys, the 8th, and many more characters return to Nether for a joint investigation, hence the name of the arc. It was good overall but nothing extraordinary happened yet.

Read as part of Omnibus Vol 6: I don't know, the first chapter is devoted to showing Tamaki's panties or showing her nude. Kind of sets a low bar for the rest of this volume. Then Maki leaves company 8 for a desk job (I don't know why at this point she started to follow her dad's orders). We meet her dad and brother.
Company 8 teams up with company 2 and everyone dies and they die in dumb ways. Our heroes might be alive or not. I mean how dumb is it that after everything that happened in the mission to the mainland where Juggernaut evolved he is useless in the fight.
I don't know man, very disappointed in not just this volume but the whole fight where the Fire Force is suddenly incompetent.
I see a lot of reviews with spoiler warnings for this volume and for good reason. People die and I actually teared up. Juggernaut found his courage but at the cost of his friend’s life. Hijiki was a cool character I’m so sad he died senselessly. Next volume looks killer though Giovani returns at the very end about to fight Shinra.

Poznajemy szanowaną i dość „niezwykłą” rodzinę Maki Oze.
I’m very sad at the abrupt ending of Hijiki just as we were getting introduced to him. He had pretty awesome powers, just encountered the wrong opponent and didn’t even get a chance to defend. Not sure how he missed her if he can see thermal signatures...
This was a pretty depressing volume for the fire force. Lots of senseless death. More white coats being zealous. Maki’s family being overprotective. Tamaki and Assault...I have no words. At least the Arthur Boyle manual came in handy for company 2....

Now that I’m all caught up finally I’m left waiting, and I’m not good at waiting!! This was such a good volume. Can I just say that the Knights of the Purple Haze are even more formidable then the White Clads. It’s insane the amount of power they have and that Ritsu....ugh.....her ability is disturbing.
I was very impressed with this one but then again I’m impressed by them all :)
FR Juggernaut was amazing in this volume. And ALSO this was eechi as f*ck. Kinda upsetting, even if it's used as comic relief. I know that he reddems Tamaki and her lewd luck syndrome is kinda part of her power, but so far... kinda annoying. But the development and world building is only getting better and better
Story was already darkish up to now but now we’re to the point of watching a comrade get his head sliced in half. Add the new baddie with necromatic zombie power of some kind and taking out a favorite character (hopefully it’s just temporary), and the story is losing the entertaining factor it had.
Itu chapter ttg Assault di akhir jilid sebelumnya berasa serius, namun kok jadi kocak beud y. Tamaki selalu menjadi "pemuas" pembaca cowo LOL Menuju arc baru.
Dang, what is Maki's family's problem with the fire force? Why are they so insistent that she was duped?! And WHY did Hinawa insist she go back to the Army? Why didn't he leave it up to Maki?
Juggernaut BETTER live!! I hope he tells Kotatsu how he feels! ❤️
Kick Giovanni's ass Shinra!

“no matter how many times i attempt it, i will never win this battle. because it’s not the same with the one you love” i never thought i’d be wanting more romance but i really do
Okay... the first chapter is dedicated to exploiting that stupid 'lucky lecher lure' thing and I HATE IT!!
Secondly, Fire Force station 8 has just returned from a (mostly) successful trek in the nether. Then Maki's family gets super protective and pulls her from the front lines. Then they make station 8 team up with station 2 for another trek into the nether. And they split up... they split up the experienced people who are one man down already and put them with a bunch of inexperienced nobodies. And they send in Maki's brother (who's a police officer) because we need at least one noob character to actually care about.
Oh my god, the plot is so forced you might as well have a shotgun to the author's back! I'm not kidding! And there's also a brand new set of bad guys!
This volume started with a kinda filler chapter but very entertaining and funny, i liked ti a lot. And then it went into mayhem mode and it was awesome. We meet the members of a new fire company and with them we come back to a familiar place. I really liked this one, the fight scenes (as always) were incredible and the story keeps getting better and better. There's so much mystery surrounding (basically) everything, it's great.
