Spiked by Iris Vu was an engaging and interesting novel. I couldn't stop reading it once I picked it up! I highly recommend it to anyone considering reading it who also enjoys an intense read covering a variety of complicated themes. It will not disappoint!
I am a fan of the "billionaire boss" and the "enemies-to-lovers" tropes, and Iris covered these tropes well! At the same time, the story wasn't cliche or a predictable read. It was very well-written with unique characters, plots/subplots, and conflicts. Her characters were multi-dimensional and stong. I enjoyed reading about Devin, the main character, who was willing to do anything to chase her goals and who excelled at what she did. Aaron, although at first appearing closed-off and intense, is a character who you soon are able to understand and love. They were two characters who seemed perfect for each other even from the very beginning! Aaron and Devin (and the supporting characters, as well) really added to the story as a whole and you can't help but to want them to succeed. Their journey as a couple is definitely not an easy one, but it is for sure one worth reading. I loved all the conflicts of their journey and the way Devin and Aaron approached them. It made it that much more satisfying when you reached the end. Iris is able to give a satisfying ending while also including just enough possibilities for the rest of the series. I cannot wait to see what she decides to write for Luc's story and what she has in store for the rest of the series! Five out of five stars!
