I have plenty of textbooks and general books in my professional library on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), so I borrowed this from Prime Reading just to skim, and I ended up finding it so useful that I ended up purchasing it. If you want a thorough more general practitioner text of teaching CBT professionally or applying on yourself, there are more expanded extensive texts out there that cover more areas and how to apply, but if you are singularly looking for particular application about enjoying and surviving the workplace without being destroyed by the mental crushing pathos created by your mind and the workplace environment then this is the book to get.
After discussing the history of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and giving you the CBT Kit (steps and process of applying cognitive behavioral therapy), the chapters following each discussed different work issues. They included anger/frustration, anxiety at work, guilt, depression, low self-esteem, maximizing happiness at work, and balancing work with your life outside work. Each chapter had great hypothetical and true real life anecdotes of people struggling with that particular issue at work. I enjoyed the story of Candy in the chapter on self esteem at work, whom after applying CBT to herself made herself a badge that said, "Your approval is not necessary."
Like I said useful book I highly recommend.
