When agent Andrej Siminof has to reach out to an old friend to figure out why he is seeing spots ,colours . He gets more then he bargained for when he becomes an agent for the FPU. Where he is thrown into the middle of a confusing case involving the making waves family . When he meets Taylen Scott is a marine biologist who is also a eclectic Witch. They are instantly as they figure out what is going on . Will they be able to figure out what is going on in the channel and will they be able to live without each other .

Andrej is well he is your typical alpha who is sexy and deep down he has a heart of gold . When push comes to shove he will do almost anything to protect the ones he loves . Even if that means he looses part of himself in the process. These characters are well written and complex you will love them from the start .
This is one of those reads that is a fast read . The author throws us into the action by chapter two . Andrej and Taylen will have you falling in love with them, they are complex and well written . The story is fun to read and you can have it read in a couple of hours . The author does take us on a fun ride that will have you on the edge of your seat through out . The story has a mixture of romance and mystery with a little bit of a stalker vibe going on . I truly liked this story and can't wait to read more books in this series . So if you want a fun read check it out .

However, asking for advice ends with him becoming an agent within the FPU on a case that intersects with the world of the family he only recently encountered. Can he find out who is poisoning the waterways and walk the fine line between an agent or his destiny? Marine Botanist Taylen Scott is also a witch and can sense that she is being watched. When Federal Agents arrive in her lab she feels even more stressed as she tries to unravel why marijuana is growing in the Black Bay Channel. An explosion and fire take Andrej back to the black and white existence and he has to choose - agent, Elemental, hero or casualty. As the fate of the witch, he has come to love lies in the balance he has to decide. Can they have it all, or will he have to give it all up to give her a fighting chance?
This was a sweet story that had Andrej making an impossible decision as he fought to keep Taylen alive. His decision needs him to make a major sacrifice if he wants her to live - a decision that needs quick and decisive action. This was full of drama and excitement as a new threat arrived in the Black Bay area. Well written and easy to read/understand.

So reading this synopsis and having read the previous books in the Making Waves series, I had assumed that there was some kind of romance that would be happening this story. I mean given that the books previous are all part of Milly Taiden's PDA series there was some romantic connections happening...so I would think it would've been a safe assumption that just because this one jumps to Milly Taiden's FPU series that there would still be a romance element.
However, I am sad to say this is not the case. Taylen doesn't even know who Andrej is that's not in a professional capacity. But then the book ends with Andrej I guess giving up his being that makes him an Elemental and has to wait to see if Taylen will choose him? I'm just lost on everything with this plot between Taylen and Andrej.
Don't get me wrong. I actually enjoyed the story. I like that every couple books have one mini mystery that needs to be solved with the characters that have been introduced.
I'm going to assume that because I didn't read No Wake Zone (the previous book) that this is a reason why I was confused on Andrej and him being an Elemental. There's little tidbits and conversations between Andrej and his supervisor as well as his brother that had me more confused on what being an Elemental is.

"Don't you love it when since the very first moment the guy is utterly obsessed with the girl and he can’t help but workship her until she falls too? This was the first vibe the book gave me and already had me glued to the pages. It wasn’t a short story that's for sure but the chapters were short and easy to read. I was surprised the book turned out to be paranormal. I wasn't expecting the pleasant surprise! I should have re-read the blurb before but anyway, the story was fantastic!! It had mystery and secrets with a mix of stalker/lover vibe. BUT here comes the huge BUT, there wasn't over the top hot romance and passion and that hurt me! I keep waiting for the special moments and were non-existence. I'm giving it 4 stars because the secrets and mystery were intruiging but the lack of passion was a huge deception."

Beautiful Story
I actually starting reading this book months ago and had trouble getting the book because of the way one of the characters spoke. The words just didn't make sense when I tried to read it. But I loved the authors work and wanted to give the book a chance, and so I did.
The story is very interesting and it does pull you in. There was still some questions I believe that need to be answered, but everything did fall into place. The story had a little bit of everything and it takes you on a interesting journey.
Just use a little patience and you can get thru the story and understand what is going on and being said.

This is an easy review for me, I love Savannah Verte's books and love this one as much as all the others. There are always the characters that make the book interesting yet different but that is what keeps us reading about them and loving them even more than usual. Right from the very beginning our attentions are caught and we don't want to stop reading until the very last page. I suggest reading the books in order even though it is not necessary. Beware that your emotions will be all over the place and it is never boring. Remember the name Savannah Verte, your going to want to read all of her books.

It's just like me to jump into a middle of a series, however, I found this story to be intriguing. I especially loved Dr. Taylen Scott and her drive to discover how and why the mysterious marijuana plants are growing underwater. When her life is in danger Agent Andrej has to make a quick decision that took my breath away. A sweet, quick read that I recommend if you're looking for a unique story.

This was really difficult to read. I'm not sure I like it. It's the language dialogue that I am referring to. I had to decifer what was being said. Really took getting used to. I love the story once I was able to get past that. I'm not sure I completely got it but it's definitely different! Sweet story though.

Andrej can see colors again and doesn't know why. It seems fate has chosen his destiny. Taylen feels as if she's being watched, but little does she know it is a certain elemental. Unusual plants are discovered and they are on the case. Beware. Danger is lurking.

Enjoyed this book very much. The world creation was awesome, the characters were very well written and the story is well presented. I was expecting PDA like the others so it threw me out of the loop for a second but I liked the mystery and suspense.

dark but interesting

A fascinating tale involving mysterious plants that lead to a much bigger malicious plan. Tasked with discovering the origin behind that plants that shouldn't be possible, Marine Botanist and witch Taylen Scott, can't make heads or tails out of her findings. Drawn to Taylen while she's calling the elements during a full moon ceremony, Elemental Andrej can't resist the pull he feels and the emotions she evokes. Seeking answers to his predicament, he visits an Elemental Elder who works for the FPU. Agreeing to become an agent, Andrej's first case just happens to be the one Taylen is investigating. There's a fine line between protecting and stalking, and Andrej tries to balance it, while Taylen searches for answers as things involving the plants keep getting weirder. Just when things become clear to both of them, an explosive conclusion could end things before they ever have the chance to start. How far will they go for answers and a chance at love?
