Brian is a little T-Rex who has problems because of his tiny arms. Many of the activities he cannot do are easy for others with long arms, but that doesn’t stop Brian the T-Rex from finding new and interesting ways to play sports, hit a piñata, and enjoy other activities. Each time Brian figures out a new solution, he wonders how it will help him with similar activities. Kids will enjoy thinking of more answers for Brian, from what sports he’d be good at to how can he make a pizza. Kids will learn that no matter the problem, you can always find a solution.
It's Not Easy Being A T-Rex by Beatriz Rare is a great book to illustrate that regardless of flaws, you're still perfect. You can find ways around short comings.
It’s Not Easy Being a T-Rex – I fell in love with the cover and wanted to check the book out; our first by this author.
Gathered up a couple of my younger g-grandkids, and the cat, and started reading a cute, sweet, well written story about self-acceptance. The critters didn’t know that, they just thought Brian was great for coming up with ways to achieve his goals.
The storyline was well done and the illustrations contained details that added to the drawings. Nothing preachy or PC, this is a sweet story with a good character that we enjoyed. 5*
Brian has a large nose and small hands. Brian can't play ⚾ baseball but he can play ⚽ soccer. Brian can't reach the handle bars of his bicycle 🚲 but he can ride a skateboard. He can't hit a pinata hard enough to break it with a bat. He can break it with his tail though. Sometimes to get something done you have to just do it a different way.. I found this book 📙 on a website for free for an honest review.
A cute little read and learn book for kids. Brian, a little dinosaur with short arms learns that there’s always a solution to every a problem and there maybe more than one thing you can do once you find a solution. It may not always be what you originally wanted but there’s always something waiting for you to enjoy. Things you may have never tried otherwise.
This story had some good solutions. It inspires me to write a book looking at what I am not good at and finding a solution of what I am good at. -TB (6 years old) and AB (Mom)
