Rate this book
Anelisha Knight has lost everything.

If she hadn’t discovered a world of magic following her car accident, Anelisha might have lived a comfortable life like anyone else. But she can’t undo the past. Now she’s trapped in the controversial history of another world, where the powerful beings who imbued her with magic expect her to fight on their side of an age-old war. There is much to learn in this mystical, dangerous realm, but first and foremost, Anelisha must determine why she was chosen, and then overcome her deep-rooted fears before it’s too late.

On the list of things she would rather be doing, anything would suffice. But Anelisha isn’t the only one to fray the Yarns of Gods…

All in all, I loved the story. What a fascinating world Julia has created. I've become an immediate fan and can't wait to have the next novel in the series in my hand 😊. Oh and of course, I’m on Team Seth!

A clever, refreshing urban fantasy romp. The protagonist, Anelisha Knight, is at once funny, frustrating, and courageous. At times, she's full of self-doubt and at others, she's heroic in truth and deeds. I enjoyed cheering for her.

An absolutely incredible read from start to finish. I couldn't put it down. By the time I reached the end, my heart was pounding so fast and I couldn't catch my breath, I was so spellbound. I may or may not have left a very non-sensical and insane voicemail to the author. Flailing, and then collapsing onto the floor in the fetal position from such overwhelming feelings pretty much sums up my love for this book. I have since read it another two times and still love every minute of it.
