Another will written vampire fantasy world 🌎 adventure thriller short story by D. C. Young (The Chronicles of the Immortal Council book one). Samantha Moon 🌙 enters a world 🌎 where she travels back in time to meet the Immortal Council. It starts a little slow but picks up ☝ as the story continues. J.R. Rain’s Vampire for Hire World: Vampire Abduction (The Chronicles of....
The book is good but I was disappointed there wasn’t more of Samantha Moon. I have always loved these books and can’t wait for the next one. It was a good story, one that I would recommend to anyone.
Samantha is introduced to the Immortal Council to help them find a missing vampire. She teams up with a Veronica in this book. Will they be able to find this missing vampire in time, who is behind this and what is their end game. This is interesting storyline for Samantha Moon and what will happen to her in this series. The author spent a lot of the beginning of the book focusing on the council members, could have focused more on the present and had gone back to their beginnings with conversations with Samantha and others. It was slow to start and picked up after bit.I understand this is the first book in this series, will read other books.
I received an arc copy of this book and this is my honest opinion
First novella in a series in the Vampire for Hire World. Chronicles of the Immortal Council series written by DC Young. This one take place before Sam has all 4 medallions.
It bounces back and forth between the fascinating history of the Immortal Councilors and Sam finding out about and meeting them. The council is made up of group of real historical figures creating an interesting background.
In this story the Council needs Sam’s help to find and rescue one of their members: Alexei.
Footnote: 1) I enjoyed researching each of the council members and comparing their real history with the story history.
Fave scenes: acquiring a house in Berkshire, meeting the Others, interviewing Ana, and Sam’s hurried arrival at the Elysium House.
This short story is very imaginative but formulaic. There's ancient vampires and a crazy scientist as well as a Nazi war criminal. It's worth reading for easy entertainment.
What a wonderful writer to be added to this world of Samantha Moon stories. This author added a certain spark that ignited the story even more. The fire just grew hotter. Looking forward to reading more from this author soon
Good start to a spinoff of the Vampire for Hire series. Different author but really lives up to the prior volumes. You just have to suspend disbelief to the max!!!
The story was good and interesting, but the writing was a bit choppy. Sam never cries and bewailes her predicament. She acts then worries later. Maybe the next one will be better written. Good story, though.
Excellent fast paced read good characters and love the idea of the council to keep everyone in line plus brings New options to the supernatural world of Samantha Moon awesome read
