Azusa Tokugawa and Mitsuru Kobayashi have finally admitted their feelings for one another; however, Tokugawa's fathers has different plans for her and intends to betroth her to a man he sees fit to inherit his company. Azusa excapes to live with Kobayashi until her mother gains the courage to tell her she is sorry. Aoi Sanada and Megumu Kobayashi are finally able to have a normal relationship and are making the most of their time together before Aoi leaves to go to a school that is 3 hours away by bullet train. Will their relationships survive the long distance?

A cute installment of this series. The series has definitely added depth and the issues the Kobayashi twins now face are more relatable to real life and growing up, it is good to see the character development in this story.

Okay, I’m going to need Mego and Aoi to quit being cute (but not really though) LOL!!!!

Oh and the dramatic storyline about Azusa and Mitsuru is just mehhh to me. Just leave Mego and Aoi alone lol.

Well Mitsuru doesn't do anything half a$$ed I guess. lol Azusa and Mitsuru are finally on the same page about their feelings, however Azusa's father basically admits he's going to use his daughter as a pawn to further their family by marrying her off in a advantageous arranged marriage, so Mitsuru basically steals her. Thank goodness his mother is completely fine with her staying with them for awhile after Mitsuru's plan to marry Azusa before her father can marry her off falls apart. Dude didn't know you have to be 18 to be married. Azusa's mother however, manages to actually make some sort of effort not to be the worst parents ever and apologizes to Azusa, basically telling her she loves her.

Aoi and Megumu have a new obstacle to hurtle coming up, a long distance relationship. So they try to make the most of the time they have left before Aoi leaves.

Art is still great, the story line is interesting enough I guess. I'm glad Mitsuru is getting a bit more page time with Azusa.

book eleven of its so cute it hurts series ~ this is a very cute book with a lot of wholesome romance between helpless romantics. i would recommend this if anyone would like to read a good romance manga. this book was honestly so sad and i dint understand the ending of it and i absolutely hate azusas father so much because her and mitsuru are perfect for eachother and then aoi and mego are just wayyy too perfect for eachother that there is no way you cant ship them. even ugeshi (who is in love with mego) ships them together so that is just saying something.

Well, the story seems to continue also after the protagonists' graduation.

So, this volumes focuses on Azusa and Aoi. Azusa's parents are getting a divorce after their affairs have been brought to light. The girl is devasted and Mitsuru promises to help her and . Aoi wants to go to uni in another city and Megumu is quite sad, even if she's trying to follow her dreams as well.

Well, let's see what Ikeyamada-sensei has in store for me.

Mitsuru is off to rescue his princess!...or is she an ogre? Either way, she's beautiful in his eyes and he's determined to save her from her parents and their scandal.

Meanwhile, Aoi is thinking about his future and is determined to get into T University...in Sendai. FAR AWAY FROM MEGUMU. But that's her favorite city so maybe their romance will work out.

As a side note, this is the only volume where we get to see all three years side by side (yes it's been almost 3 years story wise) If you flip to the back (where it says 'this is the last page') you see both twins as they were at the beginning of the story, in their 1st year of high school. At the beginning of this volume they're in their 2nd year of high school. By the end, they're in their 3rd year of high school. I gotta say, the artist did an amazing job at maturing her characters through these years. It makes the time skip seem all that more realistic.

This series has 15 volumes.

Caution: Every volume after this is rated M for mature.

The transition to the next phase of the story is a little choppy, but another strong volume over all.

It's nice to have the story focusing on the other twin, but some parts of the story were a little bit too far-fetched for my taste.

4.5 out of 5 stars

Really liked both relationships in this one however a marriage proposal and running away from your parents at 17 is just unrealistic in my opinion.

Honestly I’d really like to see the spice scenes for megumu and sanada(I think that’s their names) 🤭🤭I think the artist would draw them well and steamy WITHOUT showing to much.
And I’d like to see how azusa’s dad is going to ruin their relationship with that boy

This volume sort of seems like a really sloppy and over-the-top final volume, but it is merely wrapping up the second story arc and launching us into the final story arc. Frankly, I'm not sure I care anymore. What still needs to be said about these characters?

Nope. Just getting weird now with all these kids planning on marrying one another having only dated a short while (Mitsuru and Azusa haven't even officially dated yet!). I have the 12th volume already requested at the library so I'll give that one a go when it comes in (because I'm a sucker for Aoi), but if it doesn't circle back to a half-way decent plot line ... it might be my last. Which is sad, seeing that the first 3 volumes were SO FREAKIN' GOOD and there was great potential for this series.

~3/5
(May contain spoilers.)

Firstly, we get to see what happens between Azusa and her parents, and thus between Azusa and Mitsuru. We get to see here how great a bride she could be for Mitsuru. Near the end of the plot, Azusa moves away for a while, and there's a period when Mitsuru doesn't hear from her for months. Then she shows up, and there's going to be Drama, because her parents are loveless and strict and care about the Family Name.

I honestly don't care for either of these characters. Not at all, really.

For pretty much a chapter, we focus on Megumu and Aoi. Aoi is going away for college, and so they're going to be long distance. There's a very sweet, intense goodbye between them, and apparently things might get sexual in the next volume. We also get to see that Megumu is possibly getting further along in her manga-making goals.

Bleh. I'm not a huge fan of this series; it has some ups and downs. But apparently I'm in this till the end.

Get ready for warm fuzzies! This volume really lived up to the title, "So Cute it Hurts", readers will love every moment of the twins separate romances and drama. There is a some background in this one on Azusa's parents and their strained relationship with her. Now that Aoi can touch Mego, we see a whole new side to him. One moment you are happy and the next your surprised. I cannot wait for the book.
