Four years ago, Leo Wells lost his older brother, Crash. He simply wasn’t there one morning. Four years later, he returns, just as suddenly as he left. And while Leo seeks his own answers, it’s Crash that holds most of the questions. But a lot can change in four years. The details of a face, the loyalty of a heart, the curiosity of a mind. And even though not all changes are for the worse, Leo has had his fair share of them, much like his sister, Chloe. Together they find themselves alone, both trying to cope with an abusive father, and an absent mother.

First book by this author and definately one that I will look out for again. A sad story of siblings growing up alongside an abusing alcoholic father. I loved the brothers characters and Crash's sense of humour had me chuckling at times. A somewhat sad story but one that makes you appreciate those family members who stick by you through thick and thin. Would recommend!
