Readers’ Comments ‘Scary set of shorts. Cleverly plotted with decent character development. I liked the tiny twists. It’s set in Scarborough which is fun too. I was last there in 1970. Has it changed much? Probably not.’ Male reader, aged 63 ‘Such an enjoyable book. I didn’t love the cover; it lacked punch. But I did love the author’s clever – slightly warped – imagination and the tight writing style.’ Female reader, aged 53 ‘After reading this, I did fancy a bus tour of Scarborough. I doubt this book will do much for tourism, but it is a compelling read. I liked how it was impossible to know what was going to happen next, which is always a good sign with horror. Twisted? Absolutely!’ Female reader, aged 39 ‘Every story is of perfect length if you just want to dip in and out of the book. Perfectly unsettling and perfectly strange is all I can say. And entertaining too!’ Female reader, aged 29
To Sum It Up: ‘Keep the lights on; this is twisted stuff! A FINALIST and highly recommended.’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards
Various stories, one, about a man, who made sure he was in people's photos. By being in them, he could watch the people. Another one, a man and his wife, purchased a magic hat for their son. Got more than they bargained for. Other good, different stories too.
Another great set of stories each a different theme, some dark, some light. I loved the Memory Lane Bus Tours, very amusing. I think I'll visit Scarborough this summer.
